Framlingham also has a 12th century castle, a splendid example of Norman architecture. Aldeburgh, famous for its fish and chips and links with Benjamin Britten, and Southwold with its pier and colourful beach huts, Snape Maltings concert hall, Orford and the RSPB reserve at Minsmere, are all within easy reach. Travelling inland, guests can enjoy the ancient burial ground at Sutton Hoo (NT) and the riverside market town of Woodbridge, with its swimming pool and independent cinema.
