This cottage was so comfortable and convenient, located about a half-block from the lake, a mile or so from the Niagara on the Lake shopping/restaurant area, and with easy access to the Niagara Parkway bike trail and Niagara Falls.

We have stayed many times and will continue to do so. Amazing place and hosts and pricing!

We stayed there last year and enjoyed it so much that we returned again this year. Perfect location, four minutes from the theatre, restaurants, shops and much more. Cozy cottage with everything you need and nice gazebo in the back. Perfect!

My wife and I spent 4 days in at Niagara on the Lake and we couldn't have enjoyed it more. The house was perfect for the 2 of us (and it would have been perfect for 2 more people as well). The 1 minute walk to the Lake to watch the sunset every night was a must. The neighborhood is a mix of cute, quaint and omg.

Hamlet Cottage was exactly as described and provided a picturesque location with easy access to the downtown area of Niagara on the Lake.
We very much enjoyed the quiet neighbourhood and easy stroll to the foreshore of the lake which became a daily pilgrimage. Easy access to the Falls and other interesting places to see. Our hosts were most helpful with the odd little issue which arose.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Accommodation was perfect, great location away from crowded areas but easy to get to Old Town.

Everything about this property was perfect. Wish we could stay longer.

Very comfortable with all our needs catered for. Wonderful nature walks in every direction but a car was necessary to tackle the distances to amenities and town. Only taxi and Uber access otherwise.

Windows doesn’t open in one of the room.
Point the outside would give a better look.
Owner is a kind person.

The cottage was so well furnished and decorated and had everything a stranger would want away from home. You could tell that there was a lot of thought and feelings put into furnishing the home. The grounds of the property ware absolutely perfect. It was set up so you could be very comfortable sitting outside. I would highly recommend this listing.

We loved our time at Hamlet Cottage! Peter and Debra have created a very warm, cozy, clean environment, with everything you need to feel completely at home during your stay. We traveled with older family members who had never been to NOTL, and this cottage provided the perfect touch towards a special, memorable trip. The neighborhood is quiet and inviting. The cottage is larger than it appears in the photos, and has a homey, comfortable vibe. We greatly enjoyed relaxing by the fireplace after full days of sightseeing. Communication with the hosts was excellent, and we appreciated Debra’s dad helping out with some requests while Peter and Debra were away. Highly recommend this property, and we hope to be back to stay again!

This is a lovely, cozy, clean property. The owners have anticipated their guests every need to make a stay as comfortable as possible. We would love to go back again in the not too distant future. Many thanks for an extremely memorable mini vacation. Highly recommended!!

We had a wonderful time in NOTL, and Hamlet Cottage was a lovely place to venture from, and come back “home” to at the end of the day. It was VERY clean and well appointed with whatever one might need during their stay. The owners were also very quick to respond to emails to answer questions.
The cottage is situated in a perfect neighbourhood, full of quaint places and lovely streets to walk on. The lake is a mere 3-minute walk away, and one can use a set of stairs to head down to the beach to listen to the waves.
I would most definitely consider stayingatHamlet Cottage again in the future 😊.

I normally stay closer to the historic district but we loved the location of this house. Very quiet and peaceful neighbourhood and it was very comfortable and clean. Loved the walk into town along the river. I have been visiting NOTL for over 30 years and this will be a Favorite property. Only downside, we were working and could not connect through the WI-FI to our work VPN so had to tether to our phones. A bit of an inconvenience but we worked it out. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Booked this this little cottage for a long weekend getaway to NOTL and was not disappointed. The kitchen was well appointed and had everything needed to cook a meal. The 2 bedrooms were spacious and the beds comfortable. The primary full bath was large and plenty of counter space. The smaller full bath was functional but a little tight and no counter space due to pedestal sink. There was a small table to store your bathroom necessities. The living room had a pretty, and likely original, working stone fireplace. Sofa and chairs were comfortable. Couple minor suggestions: when watching TV there is really no place to set down coffee or beverage unless you are the person sitting on the far side of the sofa and can reach the chest under the front window. A coffee table or end table between the sofa and recliner would help. Also the TV only streams, providing instructions on what streaming networks are available and how to watch local news/channels would be very helpful. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and the morning walks along the lakeshore were beautiful, a great way to begin the day. The location allowed easy access to downtown and was about a 1.5 mile walk for anyone wanting to get in some steps. I would stay here again and recommend to others.

This cottage was perfect for our family of 3. Very clean and decorated nicely. A 2 minute walk to the lake and a 5 minute drive to old town. The host even stopped by to make sure everything was to our liking and gave us some inside tips about the town. I highly recommend this cottage if you are staying in the area.

4 Adults traveled to Niagara Falls for the first time 10/7/23 to 10/12/23. The neighborhood is very quiet and well kept. The house is about a 5 min walk to see Lake Ontario. We got some awesome sunset pictures.
The house is about 10 min or so from downtown NOTL. Cute shops and some restaurants. The house is about 20-25 min from Niagara Falls. Beware that most everything closes around 6p anywhere we went which we didn’t know.
The house is clean and spacious. Only 1 TV in the house (living room). Adequate amount of dishes, plates, silverware to use while we were there. Note: while we were here the dishwasher was broken (not a big deal for us). We did use the grill and it worked fine. The bed and pillows were ok. The bathrooms were ok - there is 1 small one and 1 large one. No carpet in the house which made keep the floors clean easy. Plenty of bath towels, toilet paper, trash bags, paper towels, dish soaps etc. we used the washer and dryer and brought our own laundry stuff.
Things that we think the owners could improve on, but don’t affect us: the outside of the house could use some updating such as paint, gardening etc.
This property was nice for what we needed. I would recommend and stay here again if we ever decide to come to the area again.

The cottage had everything we needed for a very enjoyable stay. Loved the location and could easily walk to downtown NOTL which is beautiful, the flowers that are everywhere were stunning.

The cottage is homey but more spacious than I expected. The owners have thought of everything with bathrooms and kitchen being well stocked. The neighbourhood is very beautiful and a short walk to the lake and a small beach. You could walk into town (I think 2 1/2 km) or is a short drive to the main Street. We enjoyed staying there so much and plan to come back in the future.

Love this home. Well equipped, well situated and so very welcoming. My third visit and I will be returning in a few months. The hosts are simply wonderful!

This was our second visit to Niagara on the Lake and the first time staying at Hamlet Cottage. Everything was perfect and it's in a great location, about 4 or 5 minutes from everything. Couldn't ask for better. The place was spotlessly clean, well equipped, the communication with the owner was excellent and there is a nice gazebo in the garden, a great place to relax. Would definitely go back and recommend to friends.

We livre our expérience and will recommend it to our friends. The cottage was so cosy and warm that we could stay more time. Thank you so much to Peter and Déborah.

Great little house—two beds/two baths which was great for me and my traveling companion. A little far from town (about 1 1/2 miles) to walk back and forth a few times each day, especially with heat & humidity. Walk was great in early morning or early evening. Lots of cute shops/restaurants to check out. Play at the Shaw Festival was fabulous. Niagara on the Lake is quite charming and a nice get-away!

My second stay at this property. It has a great location for visiting the area. Lots of local attraction brochures provided by the owners. We cooked in for our dinners and found everything we needed in the kitchen. Comfortable beds; quiet location; speedy responses from the unit owner prior to and during our stay. Highly reccommened and I'll try to return.

Truth be told this was our family's first experience with VRBO and I will never go back to hotels again. The property was just what we were looking for and the location was much better than expected. Walked to the lake to watch the sunset daily and enjoyed taking evening strolls up and down the neighboring streets. There is a fantastic bakery less than a mile down the road. Niagara-on-the-Lake is a beautiful area and we cannot wait to return! Thank you so much for such a wonderful and memorable holiday for my family and I.

We really enjoyed this property. It was very clean, a well stocked kitchen and linens. The location was great, a block from the lake and just a little over a mile from downtown in a quiet neighborhood. The owners were easy to work with and stopped by during our stay to see if everything was OK. If we were to return to this area we would definitely stay here again.
