We absolutely loved staying at Lavender Barn East. It was the PERFECT place to explore several Cotswolds villages, and we especially loved walking 2 minutes into Bourton-on-the -Water every morning and evening. The home was immaculately clean, just as pictured, and our hosts were lovely and prompt in replying when we had questions. The milk and cookies they left out for us, as well as the gorgeous bouquet of flowers that greeted us from the kitchen table were over and above- we felt truly welcomed. My husband and I, in our 50s, brought our two 20 yr old nieces with us, and the four of us spent a lovely 5 days exploring the area from this perfectly comfortable home. We drove to Broadway, Chipping Campden, Stow-on-the-Wold, Moreton-Marsh, and every day we spent our mornings and evenings in the lovely village of Bourton-on-the-Water. We also had a delicious “Sunday Roast” at a restaurant in Bourton-on-the-Water; everything in the village of Bourton-on-the-Water was walking distance from the beautiful Lavender Barn East, where we stayed. When we return to the Cotswolds in the future, we will most definitely stay here again- it was lovely, it was our favorite Cotswolds village, and it is the perfect place to explore several other villages. Thank you so much to our hosts; we hope to come back one day.

This lovely home is perfectly located in walking distance to the town center and right next to a wonderful grocery store. It has all the amenities needed for a family or friends who want to cook, make coffee or do laundry. The washing machine and dryer are fantastic and the host provides detergent. So nice to have a microwave and dishwasher as well. Love the outdoor seating area which is private.

Great location. Loved that we had 2 1/2 baths for the two of us! Slanted roof a little troublesome for my 6’3” husband but we knew that going in. I would definitely refer this Vrbo to others.
Only complaint: bed a little short for tall people and magazines need to be updated from 2022.
Suggestion: instructions for recycling. I felt guilty throwing away things that I know can be recycled.
Also, internet was good the first night but very weak after that.

Absolutely everything about this home is perfect, it is loved and cared for by its owners, spotlessly clean, parking right outside your door, high-quality home and furnishings, the location is great as you can walk into town. 100% would recommend and return.

Two years ago stayed at West Lavender cottage and this time stayed at East Lavender cottage. Both provide lovely clean accommodation with all the equipment you need for a restful stay. It is just a very short walk from the main street in Bourton and very convenient for visiting many places in the Cotswolds.

We had a lovely short break in this property. It had everything we needed and the location was brilliant. Comfy, clean and well equipped, there was even a Christmas tree which was a nice touch! Despite the freezing temperatures outside, the house was lovely and warm and the welcome flowers and cookies were much appreciated. I would definitely recommend this property.

Had a great time here. The highlights were 2 of the suggested walks from the Information Centre. The cottage was very comfortable and close to town. The key safe was difficult to open but that was the only negative thing. Overall it was excellent.

Beautiful accommodations. Quiet but still close to the town center. Easy walk to shops and restaurants. Nearby footpaths for wonderful scenic walks. Of all our visits to the Cotswolds villages this was by far our favorite. Easy communication with the host. Would absolutely stay here again

Beautiful Bourton
Easy to find and access, and extremely clean - probably the cleanest holiday cottage I have ever stayed in. Property is in an excellent location, just a shirt walk from the centre. Baby/child friendly with cot and high chair available to use. Only points of constructive feedback is that the kitchen could do with some sharper knives and some of the doors/locks could do with some TLC

Lovely cottage in a perfect location. Easy to walk into the village with plentiful tea rooms, pubs and gift shops. The cottage was spotlessly clean and all essentials are provided. Would definitely recommend

Excellent Accommodation, except for the beds.
Excellent place for a short break, located 5 mins walk from the centre of the town. The only thing that let it down was the beds. The mattresses were very uncomfortable especially in the single beds, so much so we had to turn them over to see if this helped improve the comfort. Such a shame as everything else was lovely.

Ideal location
Ideal location for exploring the Cotswolds set few minutes walk from the village centre. Restricted head room in bedrooms due to sloping ceiling but not a problem unless you are tall. Equipped with everything you need , washer and dryer a bonus .

Lovely place to stay in a great location
The barn is ideally located just a few minutes walk from the centre of Bourton. Although Bourton gets very busy the barn is tucked away from the hustle & bustle. It’s also a good location to visit other Cotswold villages from.
The property is very clean & well maintained with everything you need.
Communication with the owners was easy & we actually met John when he arrived to check on the property next door. He was friendly & checked that we had everything we needed.
We would definitely recommend a stay here.

Ideal cottage for walking in the Cotswolds
Very comfortable cottage with every amenity, in particular a well equipped kitchen. Just a short stroll to the centre of Bourton-on-the-water with good selection of cafes, pubs and restaurants. For self catering, there is a well stocked Coop supermarket within walking distance. The area has plenty of walks through the Cotswold countryside, straight from the front door.
