We loved the old house B&B. The location is awesome by the battery. Highly recommend.

Beautiful carriage house and property. The Innkeeper Julie was perfect at her job, providing wonderful baked goods and being on top of everything one might need. The location couldn't be better with easy walks to historical sights and restaurants. The included tour of the Edmonston-Alston House was fascinating and very well run!

Great location. Julie was marvelous!
Cake and breakfast dishes were excellent !
Clean, very nicely renovated with homely feel.
Although the Carriage House only has one bedroom there is a pull out couch on second floor that worked great for us.
Highly recommend

We had a wonderful 4 night stay. The Carriage house had an amazing location. Very comfortable bed and accommodations. Julie was great and prepared a wonderful breakfast for us each morning. Daily housekeeping was also a big plus. One item to add, which is not in the online listing, is that there is a very nice half bath on the first floor. We will definitely return.

The Carriage House was so spacious and beautiful. The pictures don’t do it justice! The water is right across the street! Julie was so easy to work with and she had the kitchen stocked for us. I really can’t say enough good things about this property. We’ll be back, and next time for longer!

What a perfect way to spend a couple of days! We loved our stay. You thought of every detail to make it welcoming and comfortable and then some with a special birthday cake surprise. The carriage house is thoughtful and fully equipped. We will be back!

Property is all you could ask for when you want a Charleston experience. The breakfast that Julie prepared for us was amazing. If this place is available get it it is with the money. And so convenient to everything Charleston has to offer. Again Julie is great :)

This was my first time visiting Charleston and we could not have found a better place. The location was perfect and the carriage house was straight out of a postcard. The innkeeper Julie went above and beyond! We had the most delicious muffins and treats waiting for us upon check-in (and restocked during our stay). Simply can’t say enough about how wonderful our stay was!

We love staying in the carriage house. This is our 2nd time because we refuse to stay anywhere else. The location is quiet and beautiful and you’re right on the battery. Spent every morning watching the sunrise over the harbor. There’s literally too many good things to say about this place. We love Julie the innkeeper. She stocks the place with such good food and she’s the sweetest. It’s in the historic part of Charleston, so restaurants are about 1/2 mile away. We love it because it’s a nice walk before and after meals, which also keeps it quiet at the house. The house is beautiful, clean, and full of charm. We love it.
Thank you for a wonderful stay again. We’ll be back!

Julie is so welcoming and helpful. The carriage house is incredible and I loved getting to play the baby grande piano! What an exquisite experience… especially being walking distance to so many things, and getting to enjoy the view of the sea from the balcony!

If you are on the fence about booking, my advice is book now. My mother, sister, and I enjoyed a fantastic stay at the carriage house. The location is right in the center of the amazing homes in the Battery. You even have a peekaboo view of the water from the balcony! We walked everywhere easily - Rainbow Row and all that East Bay Street offers is right down the street. Walking is the only way to see the charm of this city. The spacious carriage house is beautifully restored and furnished with lovely antiques. We loved all the decorative touches, interesting books, and home baked goods from our welcoming innkeeper. Our little fridge was stocked with milk, half and half, OJ, and yogurt. We had fresh fruit, a homemade quiche, banana break, and all the necessities for cereal and coffee. The space worked great for us, however if you are more than one couple, expect that the upstairs has one private bedroom and one large sleeping area (pull out couch) open to the stairway below. The large sleeping area has gorgeous windows that bring a lot of sunlight in the morning - maybe bring an eye mask!
The full bath upstairs was overflowing with fluffy white towels and just beautiful.
Our only overall wishes were a Keurig since we all had different coffee choices (we brought our own), more bedding/blankets, and larger pillows. We highly recommend this rental - it's a one of a kind stay and the perfect way to see the historic areas of Charleston. Thank you for everything, Julie!

When the innkeeper brings you homemade sugar cookies filled with lemon curd from a homegrown lemon tree, you know you’re in the right spot. Julie, the innkeeper, made sure everything was perfect and that we were comfortable. The treats she made for us were delicious. The carriage house is large but also cozy. Great location near water, restaurants and bars. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

The carriage house made our stay in Chrarleston extra special. The privacy and historic aspects were the "chef's kiss" to our visit. I don't want to stay anywhere else when we return. I am spoiled now. :)

We absolutely loved our stay here. The property is beautiful and right in historic part of Charleston. We were met by Julie to check in and were able to get a tour of the main house as well. The kitchen was well stocked and had some delicious homemade breakfast treats ready for us! Absolutely loved our time here and would definitely recomend!

Location Cannot Be Beat!
We loved staying in the carriage house. Julie, the innkeeper, communicated all we needed to know before we arrived and was helpful after check in as well. We could walk to most of the places we wanted to go, including restaurants, the carriage ride company, and the Battery itself.
The house had all the amenities we needed, including the delicious breakfast items that Julie left for us the first day. The tour of the Edmondston-Alston house was a plus!
The only drawback was that the bed was a tad firm for my liking.
Thanks for a great stay!

Unique opportunity to experience Charleston
We have stayed in Charleston many times but this historic carriage house is a gem. Location is perfect. Very spacious and equipped with everything you need (including a grand piano!). Julie, the property manager is amazing. Took care of us from start to finish.

Must Stay in Charleston!
Three adults stayed in this huge beautiful historic carriage house. The location was amazing and the inn keeper could not have been nicer. She furnished us with the best homemade breakfast food that we ate all day! It was nice to have the space to spread out and relax after a long hot day. This is the place to stay in Charleston.

Great Experience
We've never had a VRBO so far exceed our expectations! The carriage house is spacious with great amenities. The location, on the Battery, is outstanding. And Julie is an exceptional host and an excellent baker!
Downtown Charleston is about a 15-20 minute walk, but you can enjoy the waterfront or take in the historic homes in the neighborhood on your walk. We stayed a week and it never got old.

We have already booked for next year!
The carriage house is absolutely wonderful! I can’t imagine staying anywhere else in Charleston. Julie is a perfect innkeeper, and her prestocked breakfasts (with homemade quiche and banana bread) are delicious and more than ample. We highly recommend this inn!

House was awesome , the views were awesome.
This property was undersold, there is no way to be able to picture the awesome house and property. The property I would rate as one of the top two house to see in
Charleston. For tourist and to be able to stay there is just incredible. The service at the property could not be more accommodating. Julie is an awesome host and cook. We will be back, our stay was not long enough.

Historic Carriage House
The perfect location and historical stay behind the Edmonston- Alston home. My granddaughters were with us, and it was a joy. Walkable to everything we wanted to see. Off street parking available, and we did not move it until we left. Awesome!

New Year’s getaway
This property is located behind the ~1810 Edmondson Alston Mansion on the battery in the historical district of Charleston. The 2000 sq foot former carriage house has been stunningly refurbished into a chic two story dwelling that I can only say is beautiful. The interior was well designed and furnished. Breakfast was included and was very good. Our Innkeeper, Julie, was a pleasure. We will return.

Perfect Place for a romantic Charleston Getaway
This unit is the entire former carriage house of what is now the Edmonston-Alston House Museum. Exposed brick walls, beamed ceilings, travertine floors. The place is both elegant and romantic. Located on the Battery, steps from White Point Garden. Harbor views from the first floor patio or the second floor porch. A beautiful, peaceful Garden. Easy walk to Bay St Restasurants and the rest of Charleston's historic district. The property manager, Julie was outstanding. Absolutely nothing negative about this place! If you want a special stay in Charleston, look no further.

3 Days in Charleston
This is a great location if you like to walk around the historic old part of Charleston. We walked to restaurants and sights all around town. The neighborhood is relatively quiet, and you're right on the water.

Had a great time!
Nice experience. Only one negative; lots of mosquitoes inside the property. It was raining most days and a person at a restaurant told us mosquitoes were worse their time of year.
