Location fabulous as we were walking The Cotswold Way.
Charles was very helpful and attentive.

' A delightful mid 17th century house retaining all of it's original features set within beautiful and peaceful countryside. The accommodation is cosy and comfortable and the host very welcoming.
Beware the dog poo on the lawn which is the main approach to the house. Stairs also very steep, had to go down backwards on hands and knees.
5.0
peaceful rural location, friendliness of owner who also gave great advice on local places to visit, breakfast choice, comfortable bedrooms
nothing we didnt like

The host, the grounds were beautiful, bed was really comfortable too. Breakfast was lovely
Just parts that needed a touch up of paint, light fitting wasnt attached properly, there didn't seem to be continuity in the room. I. E. The pictures in the room seemed misplaced.

The location and food were good.
My fellow guest was bitten by the hosts dog without any warning.
The water system was extremely noisy and disturbed early morning sleep.
4.5
Very friendly, welcoming and helpful host (Charles).
Beautiful, characterful, house.
Fantastic meals (Supper and Breakfast).
Great rural location.
Very dog friendly.
Mattresses bit too soft for our liking.
Some of the pricing on booking.com is clearly out of date (e.g. additional charge for dog, supper menu, etc.) not a major problem (supper still great value!) however should probably be updated.
Needed to take care crossing the garden in order to avoid occasional stray dog poo!

We liked the kind host, good bed and breakfast, Humphry the cat and Margo the dog. Not to forget the Nice house & garden, being close to the Cotswolds way

A must for anyone walking the Cotswold Way - just a short detour off the path down into Forthay and you come across this gorgeous, historical BnB. Cozy bedrooms, hot showers and the 'snug' which is a lovely sitting room for guests made this one of my favourite stays while walking the Cotswolds.
Highly recommend the Supper Menu - a home cooked delight which had me rolling off to bed very satisfied (not to mention the amazing selection of muesli [they make their own] and hot breakfast the following morning).

Fun quirky house! Very comfy bed. Very kind to fix electric charging. Bit of a shock to find no en suite, thoughI should have checked. £ 130 a bit steep with no en suite. Mein host called away so planned dinner on site replaced with trip to nearby pub for a very indifferent meal.
As above.

Quiet location. Lovely beamed and comfortable bedroom with its own separate bathroom with quality fittings & decor throughout.

The location was excellent as I was there for 4 days of racing at Cheltenham. The whole experience was great, breakfast was perfect ideal to start the day

Beautiful location! Friendly owner, lovely room and breakfasts
We were expecting an ensuite bathroom, but it was along the corridor, solely for our use, but would have preferred en-suite

everything! super warm and cosy
nothing major, would have loved a plug extension in the bedroom but other than than it was a great stay!

Owners were very friendly and welcoming, along with their dogs and very chilled cat. The b&b is certainly dog friendly. Cooked breakfast was excellent. Location was very pretty and beautifully quiet.
I was a little dismayed to find I couldn't shut my bedroom door (the door is very old and twisted). Although there was a catch on the outside of the door, there was nothing on the inside so I had to prop it shut with a bag. I was worried my two dogs staying with me in the room might decide to go exploring in the middle of the night - although thankfully they behaved themselves.

The location was fantastic and the house was very clean, comfortable and very characteristic. We really liked it. The owner of the Bad and Breakfast was very gentile and always smiling. The breakfast was amazing with several choices.
We liked everything.

We opted for the 'Full-English', and we certainly got what we asked for. Yum
Unfortunately the weather was not very good. The B& B is located in a beautiful part of the country, it is certainly a must for those who enjoy the country side.
In fact its even worth visiting just to see the amazing house which is a grade 2 listed building steeped in history.

Very nice room, kind hosts, good breakfast, cute cat

Idiosyncratic property. Welcoming host. Good food
Assumed a superior room was en suite - should have checked more closely.
And the timber framed ill-fitting doors were an acquired taste.
Also not a big fan of the pets, but again, i should have checked

The whole cottage was full of character. Not only did we have the room we booked, we also had access to a lounge area fully kitted with books and board games. We were welcomed with home made scones and the breakfast was delicious!

Lovely quaint cottage in a quiet and tranquil location.

The breakfast was delicious and huge! There were many options. You are asked to fill out a menu!
I guess more rooms? An additional person joined our group after we booked and there wasn't availability. They have an excellent reputation and I would guess they have no trouble filling up!

Excellent breakfast, interesting period cottage, charming hosts, relaxing garden. Amazingly comfy bed with softest of linen
4.5
Breakfast was excellent, with a good choice, all freshly cooked. We were given tea and scones in their lovely garden while waiting for our room.
All good, nothing we disliked.

Fabulous stay at the Forthay Bed and Breakfast for a family wedding nearby. Comfortable bed, delicious breakfast (and vegetarian breakfast!) and lovely clean spacious room.
4.0
Warm homely welcome, quiet location close to M5. Also traditional feel and excellent en suite (robes available). Humphrey the cat was a cute, cuddly character. Delicious flavourful breakfast with granola options available, mixed by Debs which you can buy.
We didn't find the bed/mattress very comfortable as we like & are used to a firm mattress but bedding was lovely and soft. Remember to duck through areas with restricted head room if you're taller than average!
