The rooms were a good size and had everything you need. Quiet, good value for money and friendly staff.

Location was beautiful and a comfy big bed. We had a meal in the restaurant and enjoyed live music afterwards in the bar .

Could not fault it
The weather

The parking.
Breakfast was poor and was made worse by the miserable waitress. She was a little better than rude but not much!!

Staff were very nice, pub and garden lovely.
Food was a bit disappointing.

The receptionist on the front desk, whose name was Elaine was extremely helpful. I had walked part of the Cotswold Way and was rather hot, tired and thirsty. I asked if I could have a glass of water and Elaine very kindly bought it to my room. Excellent service
Nothing to comment on

Very nice staff

location and food
pillow’s uncomfortable , dust under radiator pipes, generally very dated, needs refreshing and outside area uncared for.

Pleasant location. Friendly staff. Great breakfast.

Both dinner (risotto with scallops) and breakfast were overcooked (black pudding too hard to cut)
Room was dark

I've stayed many times as the location is near my friends and family. I think this time I got a room upgrade as I had a lovely four poster bed for my stay. Also the bathroom ensuite was very nice. The food is always good everytime I stay.
It's an old building so be aware of lots of creaky floorboards, thin walls and heavy doors that slam, but it's all part of the charm really.

The staff from initial greeting to leaving were superb. The wine was lovely, as were our sweets. We had to turn the heating in our room down, it really was on far too high for us. No doubt it would suit others, so not a complaint, merely an observation.
We were surprised that our surf and turf was served with cold peeled prawns that were rather small, we had anticipated from the menu description garlic butter fried whole prawns, the beef was a bit tough for fillet, the chips were limp and somewhat soggy.

friendly staff were very helpful clean and comfortable
I booked a superior room just found the four poster a bit to small , lovely room , but I’d prefer a king size bed

A lovely quiet location in a picturesque cotswold village. Plenty of free parking.
The breakfast was amazing! Lots of options beyond just continental or full english - you could also have eggs benedict, buttermilk pancakes & maple syrup, porridge, etc, etc.
The room was very spacious, not to mention lovely and warm. Even when the nighttime temps dropped to -6C we actually had to turn the radiator down a bit.
The staff were very helpful and friendly. We had a minor problem with the radiator which we reported to reception. It was fixed by their on-site maintenance guy before lunch.
It was nice to have the pub downstairs if you wanted to pop down for a drink or something to eat. There was almost no noise detectable from the room and, besides, the pub closed at 11pm after which it was completely silent.
The main negative issue was the wi-fi was a little slow in the evenings, presumably when the pub was busy. The rest of the day it was fine, and it wasn't a problem for us.
There didn't seem to be a lot of public transport. We had a car, but that could be an issue for others.

location is stunning. beautiful building. reception staff very helpful and friendly, and offered us space to store our bikes.
room was dark, and bedding was sweaty. breakfast staff were not very welcoming and a bit curt. no smoked salmon for breakfast, which we had been talking about for the previous 24 hours!

We were walking the cotswold way! And thank goodness for Greene King as their accomodation was far more superior than most of the other nights we booked! Honestly very very happy with our nights stay here and we even had the heating on! Unlike 3 other places we had booked!!!! 10/10
Liked all of it!

Good size room with a very comfortable bed. Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Easy parking with loads of space.
Dinner was a bit hit and miss. Very tasty chicken pie but the accompanying mash potato was worse than airline food. Shower pressure was a bit week.

The hotel was clean and tidy. The food on offer was excellent and good value. The breakfast was very good with lots of options. All of the staff were friendly, attentive and incredibly helpful.
The room was a little small and the building as a whole was a little tired inside. There was a damp stain on the one wall in our room. The bed was also a little small. The room was expensive for what we got.

This is a Greene King pub, it has a good pub menu and the room was clean. The staff were very helpful. Excellent breakfast selection.
