This unique property dead ends on a private road secluded atop a mountain with 360 degree views overlooking Lake of The Pines and the Sierras. It is in the heart of the Gold Country with a variety of great places to visit.
We are located within one and a half hours drive to ski resorts in the Sierras. There are nearby lakes if you love water and if desired, 2 paddle boards are available for rent.
This estate has a 65,000 gallon salt water pool with a Jacuzzi, which boasts of an outdoor kitchen barbeque area. The available space inside for your enjoyment is 6,000 square ft. with professional Thermador kitchen appliances, including a built in steamer and is part of the great room. Here you will have access to a late 1800’s championship antique pool table. A must for those who love to play pool.
There is a separate theater room with a large TV screen with a superb sound system. You can play your own music on surround sound throughout the villa and outdoors. As per neighborhood county compliance, music must be turned off outside at 10 pm.
There are great views from every room. There are 2 master bedrooms, one in the front and one in the back. This home sleeps 16 comfortably. There is an elevator for your use, if needed, as I keep it locked.
I live in a cottage on the property a couple hundred yards away. My office in the rental has a private entrance and is locked. I may occasionally access it from the outside if needed. We all love our privacy and there is no need to worry about yours. You do not have access to park your cars in the garage.
On the premises you will have access to a putting green, with putters and golf balls for your enjoyment (550 ft.²). There is a croquet set and a corn hole game available for your use.
As with most high end properties there are security cameras outside for your safety.
If at any time you leave the premises during your stay, please lock up the home while you are away.

Our families traveled from Southern California and Idaho to attend a family member’s wedding. We opted to rent this amazing home for our family (3 generations) to stay at. The property is beautiful. A lot of space for everyone. A dream kitchen which we really did not use due to family/wedding activities. And a great family friendly yard and pool/spa. Our only regret is not having an extra day to just appreciate the amenities a bit more.
I highly recommend this property. I am most certain it will fit all of your needs.

My employer hosted a Leadership Retreat at this property and it couldn't have been any more perfect! Unfortunately we had to change dates and the owner, Terry, was very responsive and accommodating. We did some team building activities which included a Build A Bike event and she allowed us to use the garage. We were able to meet in the theatre room to project presentations, at the kitchen table and around the fire in the family room. My CEO kept saying how much he loved the house and how comfortable and warn it was. Everything worked well and the home was clean and comfortable. We had a productive and FUN retreat. We loved Teresa's space for our staff retreat! There are so many spots on this property to sit, relax and enjoy conversation. The view was stunning- so was the cleanliness of the home. While this is certainly a luxury property, it did not lack the warmth of a home. I felt good knowing Teresa was close by and she was so helpfully communicative leading up to our stay! Would recommend this listing and most certainly would stay again given the opportunity.

We have a yearly family reunion with upwards of 18 of us coming. This beautiful house met all our needs and then some. The pool and hot tub are beautiful and the putting green was a surprise hit for the fellas. After dinner the pool table was very popular. The owner was so nice and helpful when we had questions. All in all it was one of our best trips!

This was a perfect house for a perfect boys golf weekend / reunion! Theresa made us feel right at home and had everything we needed to have a great relaxing weekend poolside! We were allowed early access to chill our food before we hit the links that was very helpful! I would recommend this house for a group that wants to be secluded from the hustle and bustle but dose not want to travel all the way to Tahoe to have that mountain get away feeling!

There is not one bad thing I can say about this home and the property. Every detail is perfect and it just feels like home! A VERY NICE home!! Teresa was a gem and we so enjoyed meeting and visiting with her. The home is well laid out with a magnificent master suite. Pool is lovely and spacious. Pool table and putting green a bonus!! TONS to do!! Walks down the road and exploring wildlife!

We had four families united for the holidays, and this house was a great spot. Lots of space, a well-equipped kitchen, and comfortable vibes. The room upstairs was a good spot for fitting many kids. The pool table off the kitchen and the great room were great spaces for hanging out. Nice high ceilings made the space feel open. The hot tub was wonderful, and we had lots to do in the winter even with lots of rain. Much of the decoration was religious in nature, so heads up that that’s part of the vibe. We would definitely return for a family trip.

First off, Terry is wonderful and was extremely accommodating in our time of need since the other well known home sharing site canceled on us two days prior to our planned stay in a different property. Thankfully Terry helped and allowed us to host our gathering without any time missed.
This house was great! The space was perfect for a large gathering. The pool was incredible as was the deceptive and challenging putting green. The house was well stocked with pans, cutlery, coffee cups. The basic things you’d use for a weekend. The outdoor grill worked great and was easy to use. The beds were comfortable and the theater room was great as well. The house was also well stocked with bath & pool towels, hair and body soaps, paper towels and toilet paper. There are stunning views fro every room in the house.
One thing to note, there are two cats that hang around the property outside. One of them is very friendly and wants to lounge on or around you if you’re outside and the other minds their business. The owner did come over in the morning and in the evening to let the cats in and out of their cages where they sleep. I wasn’t aware that she would be stopping in in the morning and the night but it was fine since I guess we were a very last minute booking and didn’t get too much time to discuss details. I felt we were free to do as we pleased and I didn’t feel like we were “in trouble” for playing music or games outside when she came by at night to put the cats away.
I would stay here again and our friends and family had a great time. Thank you again Terry!

This property, and the owner of the property, Terry, were absolutely wonderful! We hosted our 60 guest wedding here this past weekend and it exceeded our wildest expectations. Not only is the property absolutely beautiful, and very clean, the 360 degree view of the valley was magnificent. The pool was spotless, crystal clear, and the putting green and pool table were so much fun to enjoy. Terry addressed every single one of our questions and concerns, And allowed us access to the property with an appointment, each time we needed to take measurements, etc. The beds were very comfortable, and there was plenty of space for all 14 of us to spread out, or gather in the dining area or around the pool table for some fun. We are so happy that we chose this venue for our wedding, and for our three night stay after we got married. Our guests commented on The spectacular view, and the beauty of the property overall. The lawn area is the perfect place for a ceremony, and the poolside reception was so much fun. The putting green served as the perfect dance floor, even providing a little bit of cushion on the feet so that people can dance longer. We are so grateful to Terry for her hospitality and kindness during our wedding planning.
We are looking forward to booking a stay at this property with our family in the future.

She lives on property, which is stated in the listing, but it’s like she’s not there for nail you have a question and she’s got the answer. The property owner was amazing. Very accommodating and instant communication. We did our wedding here and everything was perfect. Heard compliments all night about how beautiful the place is and how perfect the views are. I would definitely stay here for just regular vacation as well later on. This is a beautiful home, great location for for weddings. Our daughter’s wedding was perfect. However, there are lots of rules and restrictions. Music had to be off by 10pm. As stated we rented this home for our daughters wedding, there is no smoking anywhere on the property and we had some guests that were smokers who had to drive down the road into town to smoke. The cats on the property were very visible but were put up the day of the wedding upon request. Another one of her rule states that every petal needs to be picked up from the “I do” location, however we had to pick up cat feces that was in the “I do” location before our guests arrived. Another one of her rules was that whatever garbage does not fit in her 4 garbage bins you had to take back with you. The bins were already 3/4 full when we arrived and was not picked up for two days. We were from out of state and were catching a flight back home the day we checked out, we took as much garbage but after a wedding with 50 guests there was some garbage left behind we could not take. I messaged the owner to thank her for allowing us to have our daughter’s wedding at her beautiful home and let her know we checked out and followed her several check out items on her check out list but we had to leave some garbage behind. She quickly messaged me back saying she hopes we are going to come back for the garbage, we were on our way to the airport at this point. We left the house clean and she thanked us for that. Overall this was an amazing home and we made sure our daughters day was perfect.

We chose this property for our wedding weekend because it was very spacious, allowed us to have an all outdoor ceremony and reception, and the owner did not charge an event fee. We saved a lot of money compared to booking a venue that charges a ridiculous amount for a one night event and were able to stay Thursday through Monday which allowed us to have our rehearsal/ rehearsal dinner Friday, wedding ceremony/ reception Saturday, and relax for BBQ and swimming Sunday. It was amazing!Terry, the owner, was the most responsive, friendly, and accommodating host we could have asked for. She lives on the property in an attachment to the garage, but we found her being there very helpful if we needed anything. Despite her living there, we didn’t feel intrusiveness from her at all as she would stay in her living space and even was gone during our wedding evening. She has a few cats that are very friendly that roam the courtyard in the morning, but she put them in the garage in the afternoons.The house itself is very nice and big enough for 5-6 couples to stay comfortably. Plenty of parking for a big event as well even a lower overflow parking area.We would definitely stay here again if we were looking to have a family gathering or any other big event. Thank you to Terry and her amazing property for making our wedding weekend special!

First and foremost the property was incredible. Terry was also very accommodating and helpful if and when something came up, before and during our stay. However, it was unclear up until move in that she stayed on the other side of the attached garage. She had previously mentioned (and in the listing) that she stays on the property, but attached to the house was not clear. We were asked to turn the music down at 10pm on our wedding night, when the contract says it needs to be down at 11 for neighborhood policy, which was no problem. The garage has a gorgeous pad in front of it, which is to not be parked on. While I can understand this (not wanting oil spills, etc.) it was a little confusing to guests. There was plenty of parking for guests, but an odd rule for a VRBO. The cats were also a drawback. Yes, I knew what I signed up for, but it was not ideal. Especially once wedding tables were up and cats were on the table cloths. Terry was courteous, and tried to give us our space, but it was still odd having the owner on site, felt a little like we were being watched and making sure we weren't breaking any rules. A Bed and Breakfast feel without the Breakfast. If your are looking for traditional VRBO privacy during your stay, this isn't the place for you.

Terry’s place is a wonderful home to stay in. We were so comfortable here and felt so welcomed. She has a couple cats the come out during the day and they are the friendliest things. My daughter and family loved them. This place is absolutely gorgeous from every angle. Everywhere you look there is a breathtaking view and it is so peaceful and quiet. The property was very nice and the pool is a major bonus, but please note that the property owner lives in the house (and not in a detached unit). The house also has religious pictures and pictures of family adorned on every wall, which made it feel like you were in somebody else's space and not a rental. My husband and his friends relaxed by the pool on Saturday morning and the property owner came out of her room to tell him that they needed to close all doors to the house so flys don't get it. After that, we had an eerie feeling that we were being watched the entire time (also didn't help that there were multiple huge cameras by the front door).
