Great stay, we enjoyed it!

Everything about the stay was perfect, easy access to the property with the code provided, clean room and just as seen in the pictures, the pool was tiny but relaxing to have it on site, quiet stay. The location is very good, two blocks from the Condado beach and surrounded by restaurants and cafés. The cleaning staff was super nice and friendly, ready to help when you needed them. + just 15mins from the international airport

What I didn't like was that on the property page, on Booking.com 1. it says that they will charge you upon check in (it never mentions before booking, that it is self check in and that because of that they will charge you beforehand). 2. The accommodation contacted me to ask for my credit card information (when these details had already been provided through booking.com when I made the booking). And what bothered me was that they didn't communicate it in advance. That even B.com told me not to provide information until they verified that it was the property requesting it...because it was somehow strange how they contacted me and asked me for the information + my personal email address...So that would be my only recommendation for the property, to be more clear and transparent in the information you have on your page and in using the information and contact methods through the booking application, to communicate with your guests.

Great place if you don't care about any amenities.

Location was clean and safe, large bathroom but minimal fixtures.

The photo of the pool shown on their booking site was false advertising. That pool with the lounge chairs belongs to the property across the street and guests at Stay at Mare were not allowed to use it. Few amenities at the property - you asked about coffee at the hotel and there simply wasn't an option unless you walked a couple blocks to a nearby cafe.

Wonderful boutique "hotel"/air bnb vibe

We loved the location....several blocks to the beach and numerous restaurants! We also loved the bed!!!

The rooms were bare bones...advertised mini fridges but our room didnt have one. It also would have helped to have at least a chair in the room or even a small table and chairs so you don't have to sit on the bed.

It has a great location, near the beach, and has good restaurants. The check-in and check-out process was smooth.

We were in a room with high humidity, which was not a good experience.

shower handle broke a couple of times, sink was a little dirty, not enough counter space in bathroom, under toilet seat also a little dirty. no safe or lockbox for personal items, lock on balcony door was broken

I really loved the entire look of this place; it is absolutely beautiful. The tranquility and coziness' we felt was exactly what we needed. The patio and pool area were nice, and were nicely surrounded by beautiful, placed plants and lots of greenery, the pool felt to always be the perfect temperature... It would have been nice to maybe have a few more towels in the room after a few days... but we made it work. The shower doesn't have anything to hold shampoo or soap, so we had to throw on the floor... There are no shelves or hooks anywhere in the room to hang anything in the room, and the nightstand space is defiantly not enough for all the personal stuff you'd like to keep out like lotion, deodorant, sunscreen and etc... Also, keep in mind as I said no hooks so things took long to dry, but we were in the bird nest room and my husband would put some stuff outside to dry which didn't take too long considering the weather. Location is in a good area, literally a 3-minute walk to the beach, plenty of food restaurants, bars and gas stations close by. Less than 10 minutes away from Old San Juan with plenty of Ubers always close, with not very long wait times... We are used to a king size, and I didn't realize how small a queen bed was till our first night, but the bed is very comfortable, so it wasn't too bad... The TV could be raised as it's so low it was hard to watch tv once we were actually in bed and had the comforter on it covered half the tv. Also, maybe update some pictures, bird nest showed to nice chairs on the balcony, and we only had one wicker chair.... which was very disappointing as it was both me and my husband... -A suggestion would be to add a full body mirror in the rooms. It would be nice to see how you look especially when on vacation!

Great spot

Pool and location were great. Comfortable beds too.

Seemed like there was construction going on (or staff present) and can hear them all talking very loud at 7am. Poor water pressure in the shower.

I didn’t realize it wasn’t a proper hotel with a front desk and wish I had realized that. The door to my room was tricky and the only way for folks not to see in was to pull down the blind, but that made it hard to go in and out. Nothing dried, there was no where to hang towels

Good location, but wouldn't spend much time in the room.

The location was awesome.

The room felt like a prison cell. It was totally barren and just made of unfinished concrete. There was no light, and people would constantly be walking by the door if you did leave the curtain open. Not a fan of the layout for the price.

loved staying here, would definitely come again

location is incredible! lots of restaurants nearby, nightlife is walkable, and the coffee shop across the street was so convenient! it’s also very aesthetically pleasing and the pool was great!

only downside is we didn’t get housekeeping during our stay. we were there for only 4 days so not terrible and we probably could have asked if we needed anything switched. just something to know for the future

Absolutely fabulous in all aspects!!

This property was a jewel of a find! Very conveniently located. Tons of places to eat, easy to get around, wonderful patio for relaxing, pool convenient, staff very accommodating, rooms comfortable, beach very close, the complete outdoor kitchen was well stocked and had everything one could want, free water stocked in the fridge, free large capacity washing machines and dryers, I could go on and on!! Everyone in our party of 5 loved the peaceful garden setting of the facility. If I’m ever back in San Juan, this will be my go to place!!!

Great for a 2 days stay of just chilling at the beach or just coming back to the room to sleep.

Location was great, very near the beach and walkable distance to all locations of interest. Safe and quiet. Pool was nice. The service was good and friendly.

The rooms were too small and did not look like the picture. No chairs in room. No refrigerator in room. Bathrooms were small.

Cute little escape. I would definitely consider booking again.

I loved the hotel's location and the private pool. The beautiful beach is walking distance and there were many eateries and some bars in the area.

I booked a room with a balcony and couldn't use it because the door was so difficult to open and close. Also, the pool featured a Sonos system, but unfortunately it wasn't working.

love the location, the manager was very responsive and take care of things we need it in timely manner. My only suggestion to them, may be to add some more shelves and hooks in the room and bathroom so you can hang and place your belongings. Would definitely stay there again. Thank you Stay at Mare

I will definitely stay again. I love everything about the Mare. very happy I didn’t book at a hotel.

private, cozy feel. great location that isn’t filled with tourists. Esmeralda is wonderful as are her doggies. clean. fresh bottled water constantly stocked. outdoor seating is comfy. pool is perfect.

refrigerator smells of old food. should be emptied daily.

The location, the price, the cleanliness, the amenities.

There were ants n the room. The catwalk on the second floor mad it impossible to sleep while in the lower level room. Not enough towels and wash clothes were provided for the number of people on the reservation. The shower has poor water pressure.
