Thank you for allowing us to stay in your amazing home with beautiful mountain views. This home was well-appointed and had everything we needed. We always enjoy Vilas, Valle Crucis, Boone & the surrounding area. We looked forward to sharing time each evening at this home. We spent a lot of time in the game room and had a wonderful time. We hope to return in the near future.

Family getaway and first time visiting the area. The cabin had everything we needed. the game room was great for entertaining on those rainy afternoons and nights. We would definitely stay here again. Location was good far enough away to be private but still close to activities.

Great mountain home. Secluded yet not far from Boone, Blowing Rock, Grandfather Mountain and more. The home was very clean, comfortable, and inviting. We immediately felt relaxed and at home. This home also offers several nice amenities from a fantastic porch, very nice hot tub, and wonderful gas fire pit. There is also plenty of room inside with bedrooms upstairs, the primary downstairs, and large game room basement. Fantastic property - thanks for making it so welcoming and keeping it so well maintained!

The cabin met our criteria and the pictures looked good. It turned out to exceed our expectations. The cleanliness and the spacious rooms were a delight. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances one might need. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub with the extra towels and the fire pit being gas made it easy to use. The view from the porch was beautiful. We will definitely recommend this gem to friends and return ourselves. Thank you for making our weekend so special.

The property was beautiful and views breathtaking. Home was very clean. Road leading up to property took a little getting used to! Thank goodness we had good weather and didn't encounter anyone else while traveling up and down. Would have loved a toaster and keurig machine, but we managed. Thanks so much!

We were super happy with this property! We booked it to relax the last few days of our trip up north on our way back. We intended to do some hiking at Grandfather Mountain but it rained heavily. Having a cozy cabin with some extra entertainment in the basement worked out great. Kids were happy to play and to have the room with the twin beds. We were comfy in the master and my father-in-law in the other. Everyone had their own space. We all enjoyed the hot tub in the moments that it wasn't raining. Kids asked that we book again when we come back out for a hopefully none rainy weekend! Thank you!

Decided to get the kids some experiences this year and one of them was snow tubing. The house was perfect. We wanted something that had a little something for everyone. Kids and adults loved playing games in the game room. Kitchen was functional and just a quick trip to the grocery store. Hot tub was great for relaxing in the evenings. By the end of the weekend, my oldest asked if we could make sure we rented the house again next year.

Upon arrival to the property, we found it to not have been cleaned from the last guests. I reached out to the manager's and they requested pictures as proof because the cleaning company had marked it down as cleaned. After the proof was sent as requested, the managers dispatched cleaning services. We had to wait while all bedding was changed and the bathrooms were cleaned. The cleaners didn't bother to look at any other room or the hot tub. I ended up cleaning the kitchen myself. The company refunded 100 dollars for the trouble and never followed up to see if the cleaning was satisfactory. Apart from that, the property is nice.

We stayed for a long weekend to pick out our annual Christmas tree in the High Country. We enjoyed our stay at the cabin so much! The cabin was clean and felt just like “home” and had everything we needed and more. Our family enjoyed the game room and we would definitely stay here again .

Property was awesome. The “other” fees associated with the stay were too high however. Great house and would stay again, BUT would definitely consider other properties first, simply because of those other fees.

The property was as described. Beds were comfortable, cabin was clean and furnished with higher end furniture. Getting to cabin was a little difficult the first time but that was because we came in on the wrong side…like really wrong side Ha….but after that it was fine. Had a great view of the mountains which I bet it gorgeous during fall and winter. Hot tub and game room provided entertainment for all. Would definitely stay here again!

Our family planned a last minute spring break trip and this property was perfect. The kitchen is well stocked, their were plenty of games and activities for the kids while the adults relaxed. It is conveniently located in Boone and the view is nice. I imagine it's even nicer in the summer. We had 5 people and it was just the right amount of space. We would stay again.

This property gave us all what we needed. It looks and feels secluded but takes only 10 minutes to get to local restaurants. The kids loved all the games to play, especially the arcade games. We will definitely be coming back.

Quiet and Peaceful Getaway
The cabin was very clean and in excellent repair. The covered back porch was a perfect place to relax and enjoy the view of the trees and mountains. The June weather was nice and cool. I would love to go back sometime!

Great location!
Family had a great weekend. Cabin was as pictured. Clean and well stocked. Had plenty of towels. Thunderstorm the first night was enjoyed on the covered porch. Kids had fun with all the games. 15 minutes to Boone; 30 minutes to Grandfather Mtn. Had trouble with the entry code, but was quickly resolved. Only thing I’d add is a Keurig for us inept coffee makers. I’d def return. Thanks!!

Lovely mountain home, warm and relaxing
"About Time" was a wonderful relaxing property. The common areas were perfect for our group, and the bedrooms were relaxing. The property management company was easy to work with, and they sent us every possible piece of information we would need for our stay. We would recommend, and would stay there again.

The property was perfect for our family! The weather didn’t cooperate with our outdoor plans but there was plenty to do at the cabin! My sons had a blast with ping pong, foosball, the arcade game and all the board games! And the beds were very comfy!!

Cozy, comfortable, and immaculate.
My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed staying at About Time cabin. The location is great, just a short drive to Boone, Blowing Rock, Grandfather Mountain, and many other destinations. The cabin had everything we needed and most importantly it was very clean and well maintained. We truly enjoyed sitting on the porch with the beautiful view and the peace and quite. We will definitely be back.

Well appointed but upstairs very warm.
Great cabin with many amenities except for a toaster and very clean. The wrap around porch with rockers was a nice feature. For our July trip the upstairs bedrooms were too warm even though the cabin was air conditioned. The single air conditioning unit was not sufficient. We used window draw fans but they could not do the job because it would not cool off enough until early morning. With the wild fires out west we were not able to open the windows for the first two nights as the smell of burning firewood was not pleasant. The unit also had a smart thermostat which could not be controlled by us.

Close & Convenient to Boone & Banner Elk
We stayed at About Time in the spring, and it was perfect weather for our visit. Our family enjoyed the cabin - it was perfect for us! The game room was a big hit, and the hot tub was in a peaceful, enjoyable outdoor space. My girls loved that there were no murky corners or tons of creepy crawlies in the outdoor spaces - it's clear the property management group takes great care of this home. We struggled a little with getting the temperature correct in the house, but there are box fans in each room that help. We brought towels for the hot tub, and use the property's linens for showers. This was the perfect solution for us, and I highly recommend for others if you hate a wet towel! Highly recommend you check out this property.

Fun times and great service from management
We enjoyed everything about this property. My kids loved the gameroom downstairs and the hot tub. We did have one small issue with the hot tub and the management property called me within 10 minutes of my request and we got the problem resolved. I am very happy with everything!

Wonderful stay
We loved everything about this place. The game room was a big hit for my 10yr old son, and 7yr old daughter. We had awesome family time down there. The place was very clean, cozy and there was space for everybody to get away when needed to read or have quiet time. We will definitely be back. We got a ton of snow and would love to try this place in the spring.

Excellent experience
A beautiful, well maintained cabin. Very spacious, comfortable and the keyless check in/out was a bonus. We loved how peaceful and private the area was. Close to a grocery store, valle cruces Mast general store and many other places to view the mountain beauty. We have already booked again! Highly recommend. The staff were so helpful and always available. Definitely has a steep narrow road up to the cabin which will require 4 wheel drive in inclement weather as noted by the staff.

Summer Vacation 2020
Very relaxing and peaceful stay. Morning coffee on porch was awesome. Stay was mostly positive. Consider fixing double doors to master bathroom as one door is hard to close and open. Cabin was warm during the day. Thanks, we enjoyed our stay.

Great Home Base for a Mountain Getaway
We had a really magical time at About Time this past week. There was plenty of room for my family of four to spread out. My boys LOVED the game room and we all spent a ton of time down there playing. The property was very clean and very well kept. The hot tub was also a huge hit. It really felt like we were living in a secluded tree house for the week. The location is perfect for all kinds of day adventures in the area. It felt close to everything but still away from it all. The check in and out process was incredibly easy. I would have had no reservations about giving a five star rating if it were for the following few critiques.
1. I'd read in several previous reviews that the property didn't provide many towels or any extra toilet paper/paper towels. I thought there was a chance they had remedied that but packed extras just in case. I'm so glad that I did.... six towels for the four of us with daily hot tub visits and showers were not enough and the extra tp and pt came in handy quickly.
2. They were also, compared to other properties we've stayed in, a bit low with basic supplies. With the threat of germs we have going on currently some of this is to be expected but it's also the reason having some of these basics available would have been really kind. Providing cleaning spray for the kitchen and at least a small detergent would have been helpful. We blew through the three dishwasher pods provided in no time as well with eating the majority of our meals in house due to the Coronavirus restrictions and social distancing. Providing pump soap in each bathroom would have also been a good touch.
3. Providing a small amount of outdoor adventuring equipment would have been helpful as well. We had to purchase camp chairs and small cooler. Having those available to vacationers coming in from out of town would have been great.
Those little touches would have made a really good rental GREAT. It would be really easy to tweak this rental just a little to really create an experience that surpasses all expectations. I know I probably sound like a complainer.... but my family and i did truly have a great time and would recommend it to anyone! Just make sure to pack supplies accordingly.

Awesome time
We had a great time at this cabin. The game room was absolutely amazing, the kids and adults loved it. Very cozy and comfortable. If I had to add anything I'd add some blinds in the living room to be closed at night time.
We would love to come back.
