The host is very kind and waited for our arrival even though was late in the night, as we had a heavy rain on the arrival day. She was kind enough to leave us some cake and beverages. The property has everything you need for a fabulous holiday.
The location is great to explore the Peak District but also good for a day off in Manchester or even Liverpool.

Location is great for walking, and 2 pubs really closeby. Owner has provided a range of provisions like milk, bread, butter, coffee, tea, cake which is really useful to settle into the place. Kitchen is well equipped. Living area is very spacious and well organised.
The bedrooms are on the smaller side but comfortable and more than adequate.

excellent WiFi connection.

The downstairs living area was exceptional: airy, well furnished, spacious. The 'food pack' left for our arrival was very welcome (incl milk, bread and a chocolate cake). The outside courtyard kept us cool in the very hot weather. It was very useful to have two toilets, downstairs and upstairs - and the upstairs bathroom was large, airy and had all that was needed. The location of the property was perfect for our walking ambitions. The village itself was very pretty with a couple of shops and two very good pubs. We had a great short break and this exceptional property certainly made its contribution.
Given that all we could come up with was the need to have a mirror in the downstairs toilet, it shows how good the property turned out to be.

There was a lovely covered outdoor space to enjoy. The living area was spacious and very comfortable. Our host had left us a very tasty welcome cake and coffee. The kitchen was well stocked with crockery, pans and utensils. We were more than happy with our choice of accommodation and would love to stay again if visiting the area.

Excellent accommodation and location, perfect getaway. Sylvia was the perfect host.

The open plan downstairs is superb - everything is catered for and it is tastefully decorated. Everything worked well and the supply of walking guides and DVDs was great. The owner was very welcoming and she had provided all the basics in terms of foodstuffs which was a welcome surprise. There was also a delicious chocolate cake. The bedrooms are bright and airy with good storage in the wardrobes and the bathroom spacious.
For me the bed was a little hard and i do not like synthetic pillows. So i was not very comfortable at night. We all struggled with the pillows.
