Keys were in the door. Could’ve done with a proper stove but understand kitchen space was limited and a worktop one was provided in the cupboard. Was a great location and very oeaceful
Signposts to location could’ve been bigger we drove down wrong drive at the end of instructions as there wasn’t a signpost.
There was masking tape over the bathroom threshold. It really should’ve been replaced they don’t cost much. We were a little bit cautious about opening the windows for fresh air as they was a wasp nest in the roof. So could’ve been really stuffy and unbearable in the height of heat.

Lovely room in stunning location with thoughtful touches - own farm honey, local walks, fluffy towels....
A what.three.words on directions
Not a negative, but a heads up of no local shops so bring breakfast/milk... (we did but others might not think to...)

We wanted to step off the tread mill of life and relax, They said all you would hear was the birds singing, That is exactly what we got, Oliver the host welcomed us on arrival and said where he was if needed, It is called the Hideaway and it certainly was, Would we book again? Yes we would,
That we only booked 3 nights,

This was a self-catering property. In an ideal location for walking in the South Downs. It was private and quiet. Beautiful surroundings.
The option of a lighter summer weight quilt would be helpful but not an issue to worry about.

beautiful area and property, very clean and would highly recommend for a weekend away.

The location suited us well. However due to its rural location was a little tricky to find. The property itself was very well equipped with good quality appliances spotlessly clean and pretty much everything was there to make our stay comfortable. The host was approachable and helpful.
access roads very rough due to this property being located on a working farm. However this is to be expected of a property of its type..The peaceful surroundings were worth a few bumps.

Beautifully furnished, comfortable & clean

Firstly, the property was immaculate and everything was of a high quality. Two huge sofas and the most comfortable bed we've ever slept in made for a relaxing stay. Good WiFi and phone signals too. Owner, Oliver, was particularly helpful and provided lots of useful local information.
Secondly, the location is brilliant; it's so quiet and peaceful, you feel in the middle of nowhere but in fact you are only about 5 minutes away from several village pubs, all offering meals. It's also a beautiful area. A big plus is being able to walk miles (if you want to) along byways/paths directly from the property without having to use the car so bring some boots!
Not much really; maybe a few more direction signs along the route having left the main road? Having said that, the hand-drawn coloured map provided by Oliver was the most useful.

Full of everything we needed to make it feel homely and welcoming.
The bed was amazingly comfortable.
Nothing that really stood out as a dislike although the TV was a disappointment. Terrestrial TV wasn't available and ITV hub wasn't working.

Loved the secluded location in the woods. Comfortable sofas, quality bed and furniture decorated with quirky fun objects.
Hot tap in bathroom basin, hard to turn off. Maybe needs a new washer.

Location was great - once you get used to the farm track! Very quiet at night and if you're a star gazer you won't be disappointed. Lots of local wildlife - deer, badgers, birds of prey etc - enjoyed it immensely.
The farm track is the only gripe - some of the holes really need some filling!

Plenty of space, comfortable bed, lovely and quiet.
Bed size and position in the bedroom meant I had to duck and walk sideways to get out of bed and leave the room, and I’m only 5” 3
Basic cooking facilities, you might struggle if you were staying longer and didn’t want to eat out every evening.

Great space, so relaxing and quiet, beautiful surroundings. Helpful and easy to communicate with the host.
Stayed for a wedding and it was the perfect space to feel nice getting ready and relaxed afterwards. I would highly consider staying again for a long weekend away just to relax.

Nice spacious apartment.
Large comfortable bed.
WIFI.
Mile long drive up the bumpiest road. External appearance was overgrown with lots of junk lying around.
No welcome pack, e.g. coffee and milk.
The bed was almost as big as the room, making access from both sides very difficult.
TV didn't work.
Didn't see our host at all.

Fully equipped. Peaceful location
Sofa seating is tired and too soft for people like us with back issues. Pretty uncomfortable and difficult to find a suitable position. A more conventional couple of sofas would be the only improvement needed.

Nice area. Bit difficult to find but more our fault not reading instructions properly. Accommodation good. Kitchen compact but able to cook small meals. Bedroom compact with sloping ceiling but comfortable bed. Bathroom good shower works well, nice towels and plenty of hot water. Went to Goodwood races which were within easy distance and we both enjoyed our stay. Everything clean and nice walks around the property.
Only negative no mirror near sockets when trying to dry my hair.. otherwise all fine.

The Hideaway is situated in a wonderfully quiet and peaceful location. There's lots of local wildlife to see and there is great access to the South Downs. The 6 foot wide bed was super comfortable.
Access to the bed on the sloping roof side - you need to be an absolute contortionist - not easy in the middle of the night! The property needs a mirror located where you plug in the hair dryer as the only mirror is in the bathroom (no plug socket in there obviously!). Streaming TV shows is a bit hit and miss - what's wrong with a basic aerial?

wonderful surroundings.
poor cooking facilities, poor condition of road to property. strange alarm in the middle of the night 2 nights.

Location, location, location: a very, very nice environment (total quietness and in the middle of fields/forest) in the middle of South Down National Park. No better place to walk. Nice pubs nearby.
Not that easy to find out (even when you know the place which I did): the landlord might need to send a better map to find his property and maybe to put a sign at the entrance of this big farm. It would definitely help.

The property was fantastic, clean, very comfortable and well equipped.
Nothing, remote but exactly what we wanted.

The location was perfect in the middle of a farm; it was in the beautiful countryside the locals were kind and helpful. We will definitely stay again.
Everything was as expected or better

Lovely location. Great for walking. Quiet and peaceful.
The hot water wasn’t sufficient for two showers.

Lovely setting and hosts

Very cosy, clean, and spacious, the sofas were very big and comfortable. The property was nicely laid out with charming decor.
I didn't like the fact that the property was just left open for us on arrival, with nobody else around. I would of preferred the keys to of been in the lock box instead of in the back of the door. I didn't feel safe walking into somewhere that had been left unlocked no matter how out the way it may be.

The Hideaway was a lovely place to stay for a few relaxing days before the onset of a full on family christmas. Oliver the host was charming and friendly
Everything was great for a relaxing time out. Wish we could have stayed longer and enjoyed some local walks

Great Location, very peaceful and secluded. Beautiful countryside set among woodlands and pastures in a 'dark skies' area allowing great star gazing. The hideaway was first class. Very comfortable accommodation for our weekend. It was a cold that weekend but the room was snug and warm. All facilities are supplied. The host was very helpful. There is easy parking at the property. There are a number of good pubs with great food in the area within a brisk walk or short drive away.
Would highly recommend the hideaway for a quiet time away.
Nothing to dislike
