Beautiful building
Beds very uncomfortable and wedding parties were very loud.
4.5
Idyllic location and beautiful grounds. The hotel is steeped in quintessential English charm.
Everything was perfect during our stay.
4.5
Whitley Hall is a delightful period property set in lovely grounds. Plenty of parking spaces. Large, clean rooms with furniture to match the age & style of the building. The hotel has a quaint bar & restaurant, although living locally & having eaten in the restaurant several times in my opinion there is better food & value elsewhere but it’s a nice dining experience in pleasant surroundings.
I felt the mattress in my room had had a lot of wear & was probably ready for replacing.
No conditioner only generic hair & body wash
Shower over bath which is a bit steep to get in & out of

Lovely location.
Room wasn’t clean, dirt and dust everywhere. Sheets were dirty and no shower that worked.
4.5
Lovely setting and the staff very polite and attentive.
Would and will return
Two weddings on so a little noisy but didn’t go on late.

Breakfast was great. Staff was very friendly. Location was nice.
There was a wedding (or two) at the hotel and people were loud, even late at night. People having arguments loudly outside out window when we were trying to rest, until late at night. There are no double-glazed windows so even with them closed we could hear everything.
There was a constant fan or motor spinning permanently near the outside wall of our room - must have been a vent or something but it was quite loud and you could hear it all the time. Had a hard time sleeping because of it.
4.5
Friendly people. Flexibility in timings (we were late for breakfast). They coped well with all the different parties on a busy night.

The room was a bit hot and suspicious stains on the wall above the bed

My sister and brother in law had their wedding at whitley hall on the 12th May and the staff were absolutely amazing provided us with everything we needed and made the day so beautiful cannot thank them enough!
Everything was amazing!
4.5
The venue was stunning, lots of beautiful features in the interior and exterior, blending the old and the new seamlessly. The rooms were very beautiful and luxurious. The food was of a high standard, and the grounds were lovely.
It was a great stay, no complaints. We were there for a family wedding and it was all pulled off very well by the venue staff.

Staff were friendly. The hotel was very comfortable.
The television reception in the room was poor. The door to the room would not lock properly.

location
I didn’t think it was value for the money

It’s surroundings are beautiful and the hotel has lots of character; parts of it being built in 16 century. There are peacocks roaming in the grounds. The catering and disco were really good!
During the night there was the dull sound of a generator running somewhere near my room.

The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The property is lovely - a very big room with a very comfortable bed and two decent arm chairs. The bathroom was well planned with a bath and a rainfall shower head.
It's harsh to say 'not like'. The fundamental hotel facilities are great. But there were a few odd bits. The staff didn't seem to quite have their systems together. Individually good, but not quite happening together.
I ate a lovely dinner- but they forgot the chips (the only potato offering, sadly) so I ate it in 'two courses'. The meal was served but no-one checked back with me. The on screen TV guest instructions did not indicate that I needed to book a table with reception. So when I arrived I was sent three steps to reception and then turn round and give my details again to check in. Difficult to explain but just not smooth...

the package, I have stayed there once a year for 10 years and always enjoy it
shower over the bath, as I get older these get tricky

The rooms were spacious and comfortable and clean, the en suite was very nice.
Breakfast wasn't included in the price of the room, which we all thought for the price we paid it should have been. There was a wedding on at the time and the hotel bar was not staffed, you had to ring a bell for someone to come. Unfortunately this had been left to a member of staff who had never worked behind a bar before and it was obvious that he was not happy and felt uncomfortable being there. The cost of a round of drinks was extortionate.

Room was clean and had a great selection of pillows. The actual building was amazing. Breakfast in the morning was great.
Nothing. We arrived late, so next time I’d love to get there earlier.
