Nothing really.
Staff weren't friendly
Room was very big, but empty of furniture - had to request a chair (and hairdryer - understandable)
Dinner was mediocre - drinks "offer" was on a couple of drinks not a wide choice which advertising suggested
Breakfast was full English or nothing. Again not the choice that we were led to believe. As someone who enjoys juice with breakfast, there was one glass handed over.

Second time I have stayed here and cannot fault it, lovely big rooms, spotlessly clean and well equipped. Great value for money. Evening food is really nice and well priced.
Nothing

No draught beer of any sort at the bar

The bathroom
Breakfast was a continental no butter cheap bread no marmalade worse still no hot water for a cup of tea. I asked for hot water got tepid water.
Would I recommend it no I wouldn't
Also fire alarm went of at 2 am no explanation from staff no one came around no communication
3.5 / 5.0
Bed was comfy. Large room. Plenty of furniture for storage if needed.
Bathroom had basin that wobbled and leaked and no plug. No hot water in morning for shower. Some fittings needing cleaning/maintenance. Nearby fire door slammed shut every time someone went through it.

the price and location
needs more attention, light switches in room were filthy, tea stains up door, no light bulb in one of the lamps, only one cup for 2 people, heating was on in building so way too warm, curtains look like they have been sliced, overflowing bins in courtyard, just looked messy and unkept

Staff were very friendly and helpful
Booked 2 double beds one turned out to be a sleeper couch that was so bad I couldn't sleep on it

Location, comfortable beds
Dirty carpets and bed sheets, had a bad smell

The room was spacious with enough space to move around.
The standard was below expectation compared to money paid for the night. I did upgraded and expected something better.

The chambermaids and the female receptionist were very helpful and understanding regarding our complaints.
The hotel is tatty and dirty. Towels were torn with holes in until we managed to get them changed. The bed looked as if it had been slept in before, the bottom sheet was crumpled, the mattresses were so uncomfortable none of my group could sleep. The curtains were threadbare and torn the carpet was dirty the settees were stained. The ladies toilet would not flush the bar had no beer or cider available from the pumps, we paid for breakfast and were then told you had to pay £7 for an English breakfast which means we paid over £40 for crossaints, toast, and cereal. The managers were hopeless and not one of them apologised as we checked out after one night. we had driven over 200 miles to spend the weekend with our family in Sheffield and we ended up driving home on Saturday not Sunday. This hotel should be removed from Booking.com web site until it has been inspected.

The young lady who served us in the k.Rave was helpful and polite
I was woken at 7 am by the squeak of the door outside and several builders knocking on each other’s doors to get up. I set my alarm for 9 for breakfast, got down to the restaurant at 9:20 for breakfast to be told breakfast stopped being served at 9. I wasn’t told at any point breakfast was finished at 9. I’ve never known any hotel to stop serving breakfast before 10:30-11. I wasn’t given a refund on my price for not having breakfast. At check out time I waited 5 mins for someone to come to reception and in the end just left my key. Very very poor.

Good breakfast and meal. Helpful staff
Plumbing was terrible. One of the ceiling tiles was missing in the bathroom. There was rubbish in one of the cupboard. They gave us only one towel.

The bed was quite comfortable but the hotel was shabby, breakfast was poor
it was deserted, no bar staff and not a very warm welcome from the man when we checked in either

The first room they gave me the carpet was ripped . Big burn in the matress frayed curtains .. didn’t look like carpet had been hoovered . When I notified the staff on reception they looked at me as though I was lying although they offered me another room
The 2nd on initial inspection looked better the sheets were clean still frayed curtains.. the mattress felt like it was years old not a good sleep but had to be up early so when I got back had a closer look at everything
Bins were dirty taps too … had a quick look for another hotel but none available so cleaned them myself
In the 4nights I was there .. I didn’t see one cleaner have a change of towels or bedding .
Or empty my bin . None of the staff are fully English speaking so very broken English so none of my question were properly answered … I decided one morning to go in their so called cafe for coffee no one about eventually got a coffe at apparently a reduced rate of £3.50 . I heard their handy man on the phone saying about doing up a few rooms to keep someone happy I only assuming they have been reported for the appalling state of the place ..
had I done what I normally do and check trip advisor I would never have booked this place it doesn’t deserve the score on booking.com at all I just really wish I’d taken pictures

Room was clean (apart from waste bins not being emptied) & tidy. Bathroom was a decent size, and power shower excellent.
Room key didn't work - took ages to resolve. Choice of drinks at the bar tiny. Location didn't have any particular benefits.

Clean and well presented. Staff friendly and helpful. Tea and coffee making facilities with kettle in room, which is always a plus. I would be happy to stay here again, and would be happy to recommend to others.
Pillows very hard and towels were ripped. Wi-Fi very sketchy and kept disconnecting which also affected my TV viewing. People in neighbouring rooms were very noisy, constantly banging doors and talking loudly outside my room when I was trying to sleep. Signage was not overly clear so I struggled initially to find my room and then find the reception in the morning. No-one at reception to check out, and no clear instructions on what to do in staff absence.

Location, large car park.
Easy wheelchair access to our room which was on the ground floor close to the entrance.
Large room, large bathroom. Enormous shower cubicle with integral robust shower seat to use safely.
The double bed was very comfortable.
All the staff were very friendly.
The wheelchair lift was out of action at the time of our visit which meant going out into the car park and using the ramp at the other entrance.
Management were aware of the problem with the lift and were in the process of getting it repaired.

The room was extremely dirty with stains on the carpet, sofa, mattress and wall. The bathroom needed cleaning before we could use it.
When we spoke with staff they were not particularly interested in helping. The TV in the room could not be used as there was no remote available.

The kitchen staff were wonderful.
I have bad allergies and the man in the kitchen heated the food I'd brought with me and let me use the fridge to keep my food for the next day.
I booked a twin room as myself and my daughter need separate beds and they said they knew I'd booked one but they didn't have any.
The male receptionist suggested my child sleep in a separate room, in the other building, through the dining area and busy room, alone!
The double room they gave us was filthy.
I had to clean the toilet and bathroom floor.
The toilet didn't flush, the window was broken and didn't close, the door had to be physically slammed to close, which set off an alarm each time.
The carpet was stained and dirty.
There was no bin....
The sofa bed had no mattress or cushions on it and when I asked for one, the one the receptionist brought was stained with sweat, urine and blood! He offered nothing else.
The double bed was the most uncomfortable mattress I've ever slept on, each spring dug in and creaked when I turned over.
I was compensated 40% of the booking for the room not being suitable but that still put the room at £55 for one night and it wasn't what I booked and I've never known a room be so disgusting.
There were cobwebs and dead bugs; food and crumbs on the floor and behind the furniture.
Our friends stayed as well and their room wasn't as bad, but still stained, food on the floor, no TV remote, they had no chairs!
The male receptionist was very unhelpful and said there was nothing he could do.

nothing
had to ask for a change of room as first room dirty and not as stated bed wise. no main light in second room, uncomfortable bed and sink in toilet didn’t drain for some time after using.
