I liked the bar section & the pool table etc , not a great variety of beers to choose from but Camden larger did the trick for me :)
The walk in shower was very good also
I didn't think the size of the room was great and could have done with a mini fridge to keep the complementary free water cold atleast, when drank I drank it, it was very warm. Which brings me onto my next point... the air-conditioning in the room was terrible... I was absolutely boiling hot all night and the aircon was just not making any difference... infact it just felt like warm air coming out ... definitely think an upgrade on this is needed.

The location is perfect, easy to get anywhere in the city. The beds were comfortable and the shower was powerful with plenty of hot water. The bath sheets were an amazing size and very plush.
No air conditioning so we had to have the window open. As the bar is 24 hours, it was extremely noisy until 4 or 5am. Doors slammed if they were left, which happened frequently and woke us up on many occasions over our 2 night stay. Called reception to complain about the noise 6 times but the phone was never answered… even though the reception is open 24 hours

Everything about this hotel was perfect
If I had to complaint about 1 thing it would be the pillows as there a bit too thick for 2 but not enough for one but easy enough to adjust!

The aesthetic and facilities are fantastic
The bar prices. I paid £8.91 for an appletiser and a red bill which is essentially fraud. Horrible

The bar was fun to hang out in. The rooms were clean and pleasant. The staff were very friendly.
The bathroom was very small. The bathroom would benefit from some steam ventilation.

The room was clean and the shower was nice and hot.
1. Parking charges - I would have expected free parking as a guest. There was no mention of car parking fees anywhere on the booking site or confirmation email.
2. There was only 1 hanger in the room. A small detail but important as both myself and my partner had clothes to hang up for a wedding we were attending.
3. There was only 1 plug socket near the bed so only 1 of us could charge and use our phone while In bed.
4. The tea selection in the room was poor quality. Coffee was cheap and nasty and only 1 variety of tea offered. Asked at front desk for alternative tea bags and was told they didn’t have any.
5. The lighting in the room is shocking, no main ceiling light in bedroom area, only lamps. I felt very stressed that the room was continually dimly lit. I had to turn on every lamp just to try and brighten up the room and even then it wasn’t very bright.
6. The room was freezing on entry as no heating was on. Confusing temperature controls and took ages for the room to warm up. Went to reception to ask for an extra duvet and the current duvet was paper thin. I was told they couldn’t get me one and would find me a heater. They brought a heater that took forever warm up and did nothing to alter the coldness of the room. I was shivering in bed due to the cold.
7. I did not sleep very well due being freezing cold and also the bed was rock hard and extremely uncomfortable.
8. The buffet breakfast was shocking. At first glance it looks nice with all the jars and quirky layout, but on closer inspection they are filled with things that I wouldn’t use (lots of seeds and nuts and strange jams). The cereal selection was either stale cornflakes or musli. The hot options were poor. Anaemic looking bacon, cheap sausages, rubber fried eggs, soggy scrambled egg and watery mushrooms. Safe to say I didn’t touch any of that. My partner tried some and it made him heave.
Not worth the price we paid. Found out we could have stayed at a premiere inn for half the price!

Smooth, efficient check in. Rooms very clean. Good beers in the bar.
Nothing!

I didn’t like much about the hotel it was grubby and tired looking. The only thing that was worth talking about was the small gym and sauna.
The breakfast was average at best - cheap poorly cooked bacon e.g.. burnt. Additionally, sausages and scrambled eggs were like rubber.
On check in and check out the reception lady (larger girl) had a really bad attitude not only towards me but other patrons whom she was dealing with at the reception desk. Her attitude towards the Hotel customers was very embarrassing, she really lacked in any kind of customer service decorum.
During my first week of my two at the Penta I had to move rooms due to noisy - i.e., air con, water pumping through pipes and shower drainage noises etc. Furthermore, all three rooms I stay in were grubby with stained carpets, loose tiles on bathroom floors and damaged to doorways etc.
