Shower and sink plumber seriously needs sorting and v.annoying you couldn't turn the bedroom radiator down from scolding 🫤 wouldn't stay again

Fluctuation of price depending on if the local football team are playing at home, no reward for loyalty, so I won’t be returning

Really nice hotel, good location, nice staff
3.5
The room had a bath, it was clean and the bed was nice. The English breakfast was great. Good location for us with a rental. 3 min drive from the local mall Derbion.
The hotel allowed a late checkout for an additional fee.
No fridge and no lighting in the main room, apart from two small beside lamps.

Breakfast was excellent and the staff great and very polite and friendly 👍 as to the room it was adequate could do with a mak over in the bathroom and possibly new carpets as they seem to have been cleaned 🤔
As said above not 100% happy with some aspects of the bathroom as ok it’s clean but could do with a refurbishing to bring them up to standard.
3.5
Generally clean although some areas a little dusty, great reception staff good size bathroom. Gated parking
Good if you want the train station, although the side road next to my room was busy at night with pick-ups of tipsy/chatty people

staff were really 👍🏼 great Rooms comfortable and clean well serviced. would recommend a double room as a single for a single is very small. rooms refurbished in simple contemporary style - all you need.
unless you know it’s very difficult to find - covered in scaffolding- and sat nave doesn’t take you outside - would suggest the hotel tells you it’s opposite the train station. and covered in scaffolding and sheeting - the hotel currently doesn’t resemble the pictures. also that free parking is round the side of the hotel in the side road - don’t park on road as is expensive and unnecessary. large car park through metal gates - better signage is required for hotel and parking please 🙏🏼 also only sandwiches available at night 🙈 lunch menus also very limited - bar shut too it’s under resourced clearly,

Fantastic location very handy being across the road from the railway station. The shower was nice and the staff were friendly
Breakfast was a buffet, which i liked, but some items were not hot enough. Could have done with more condiments in the room

location.
we paid for a room rate inc breakfast then received an e-mail the week before to say that the kitchen was closed because it was Christmas and only a grab and go breakfast was available! This was disappointing when we were expecting a cooked. real fast included in the price.

Nice and relaxing! Staff very helpful! Ideally suited for city centre and train station! Have stayed there twice recently and will be booking again

clean and tidy staff very pleasant and breakfast was good

The car park has sufficient space for a lot of cars. There is a buzzer the gate so you need to get out of the car to get access. We asked for a fan in the room and they had one ready. There are extra rooms for events such as weddings and parties, but beware of noise at night. It usually stops by midnight ish. Food can be good if cooked individually but buffet style is not as good. Location is great for Derby and there are also a few indian restaurants close by . The reason we sty there is mainly for the price but as it goes up the standards do not seem to match.
We have stayed here at Aston Court for many years , mainly as it is central to Derby Town and handy to drive to. The hotel was once a private home and still has the staircase but the rest is modernised now. It appears grubby at the rear where the car park is and has extensions. Some of the room overlook the main road and crossing so the noise can be heard when really busy. The hotel could do with a refurbish. Meals used to be served and cooked on site but in recent times only breakfast is cooked and we had a buffet breakfast. We were the first in and the food was only luke warm , with eggs, bacon and sausage tasting of oil. The staff has changed and the rooms are getting a bit shabby. We found the bathroom door rotten at the base along with silverfish on the floor. The lighting at night was so low we could not even read the remote control and had to have it replaced as it did not work. The price is rising and there is no air-conditioning at all so it can be hot in summer.
