Room with amazing view over the Lake and of the mountains.
Helpful and thoughtful staff
Great food
Lovely venue
The room was a little small.
No safe crossing from Hotel to the lake. We thought it would be a good idea to put signage up on the bends approaching the Hotel for cars to slow down, children crossing etc.

Amazing location, right by the lake. You can walk or bike around the lake which is nice. Cadar Iris is very close by if you want a hike. Bed was comfortable and room clean.

Fantastic location even in the rain

Beautiful location, arrived very early and only waited very short time for room to be available. All staff friendly, polite, professional, helpful, especially Ryan, nothing was too much trouble. Food superb, extensive wine list. A very comfortable hotel. Free WiFi. Highly recommend Tyn y Cornel Hotel and would definitely stay there again. Weather was also very kind to us. The location is truly stunning. The hotel and restaurant is beautiful and charming and the staff very friendly. Lovely, fresh food and a good selection of drinks at the bar.
The reception for the hotel, waiting area for restaurant and line for the bar were all one in the same so checking in and out/arriving for dinner/ordering drinks could get busy. Also we were staying above the main building and there isn't any soundproofing so we could easily hear the restaurant music and noise downstairs from our room. All stopped around 10.45ish which is perfectly fine, but take earplugs if you want an early night!

The view
The food, the staff, other guests rude. One staff member in general I didn’t get his name but by god he was rude. We definitely will not be returning. We stayed at a hotel down the road last year and love the area. We’ve booked a hotel 10 mins away now where we experienced a lovely welcome on the Saturday night. Shame it can’t be said about here. Don’t go. Beds are dreadful. Very soft and dips all over. The only nice part was going home

Breakfast - good to have a starter of fruit/cereal prior to the main course (good selection)
Dinner - This was excellent although it would have been more appropriate to have confined our selves to just a starter and a sweet or to eat earlier in the evening.
Treating location as a separate issue we would have preferred a room overlooking the lake but this was not an option on this occasion due to prior bookings which we accept. With regard to our accommodation the beds were a little too high for a person of small stature.

My stay here was very brief as I was travelling for business, but had a lovely stay in an idyllic setting. Highly recommend!

The location is on the edge of a lake which provides great views and atmosphere. The seating area at the front of the hotel gives for a comfortable place to sit and relax.

Location, food and cleanliness.
Lack of hanging space for coats etc in a small room

Breakfast was beautifully sourced local products and freshly cooked to perfection. Great attentive staff especially on the Monday morning.
Bit disappointed with the size of the room but that was probably our own fault for booking late.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was really good and the location of the hotel is tremendous, even in bad weather!
I think there could have been slightly more food in the main meals, as we were left wanting “more”, which tempted us to the desserts!

Location was awesome, plenty to do and see close to the hotel. The dinner was excellent my wife and I had the lamb dishes which we shared. Breakfast filling and tasty. Overall superb hotel and will definitely stay there again

You cannot beat this location! Incredible views and hotel offers the best restuarant/pub for miles. Conveniently located near a number of hikes. The Cader Idris Summit is a must!
The mattresses in the rooms could be improved.
