Very comfortable bed and friendly staff. Good location in the middle of the forest.
Stained shower curtain and 3 lightbulbs needed replacing. We had expected to stay in the house but had a room in a 1980s conversion in the car park, perfectly comfortable (a bit dated) but not what we anticipated.

It was over priced so difficult to answer.
Cold breakfast.

love the location, rooms are a good size. Staff are brilliant. good value for money, and a bit of history thrown in.
Bathroom needed updating, the shower cubicle on the court yard rooms are small. The family court yard rooms could really do with a bath for children rather than a shower.

Location great and breakfast very good.
All good!

Our accommodation was comfortable, clean and well provisioned
comfortable with an excellent breakfast

The staff were lovely throughout the hotel, there was a problem with the hot water but we were notified on arrival and offered another room but we didn't need it as our water was hot by the time we returned from our days activities.
Towels could be a bit bigger, the largest towels were still quite small, bath sheets would make a nice improvement

Food, location and staff were excellent
Our bathroom was in need of updating, was clean but looked grubby as was quite stained. The toilet brush had toilet paper stuck in it and the toilet was hard to flush (room 12)

Full of character, wooden beamed ceilings in the dining room as befits a property of its era. Large, comfortable bed, (room 6). Clean large bathroom, plenty of towels. Generous tea and coffee making facility in the room. Excellent choice of food for breakfast, well cooked. Plenty of parking.
Large chimney stack from kitchen made the small sitting room unusable during my stay.

everything was first class. staff, service, food, bed, shower, room, restaurant and function room.
the temperature in all areas was much to cold I had to keep my coat on to eat at breakfast, in the restaurant and function room for the wake and people were not very happy about this after attending a funeral and coming in from the cold.

Situation in the Forrest
No comfortable place to sit for an evening drink. It was like sitting in a waiting room . Very dirty carpet in room 33

Room location, breakfast very good. Staff went out of their way to make everything as perfect as possible for my friend who was celebrating her 80th birthday at the hotel.
Room was a bit chilly.

Whole experience was decent.
Not the fault of the hotel, or maybe it is, but the bloke in the room next door snored all night. This resulted in a poor nights sleep for me.
