Everything. The staff were lovely and couldn't have been more accommodating. My dogs were the centre of attention.
The beer and evening meal were excellent, the breakfast was exceptional.

Excellent and welcoming staff. Enjoyed the setting and pub dinner.
Loose toilet seat in bathroom and slow television.

We had two veggie breakfasts that were cooked to order - the chef was fab, friendly and very accomodating.

Nice characterful pub with a good atmosphere. Simple, cosy and clean room room with very nice staff.
Food prices were a bit expensive, but worth the service.

A delightful country/village pub which was well used by the locals in the evening. Care needed on the roads leading to the location. The evening meal I had was excellent - congratulations to the new chef! Easy access to the A40 for onward travel and I left early so did not have breakfast.

Staff were welcoming and friendly. Location was spot on.
Room / bathroom was not adequately clean.
Lack of plug sockets. Only one outlet on a supplied extension lead worked. Exposed brickwork around bathroom sink unhygienic. No mirror at sink.
Full English only choice at breakfast. Ordered Chicken Thai Curry for evening meal. Menu stated served with rice. Was presented with an over chargrilled chicken breast on a bed of full length spaghetti in a kind of oriental broth. For £17.50, this was very poor.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and as it was a country inn we could enjoy a drink in the evening in the bar. A great location to explore the local area.
It was difficult to find initially, down country lanes which were single track.

Beautiful room, exceptional food and the most incredibly pleasant/helpful staff x
Issues with wifi, but this didn’t spoil our stay

The room was clean and comfy. Expected the restaurant to be open on the night of my stay but it wasnt. Young barman helped me order a takeaway from menus.
No television. It was digital only and had to have a pass to watch TV which the young barman couldnt help me with.

Location , only reason to stay there
The bed was terrible, dipped in the middle of the mattress = no sleep
No early breakfast accommodated when we had to leave early, email sent to say no food on first night so had to find another place after a long journey

Lovely old pub full of character
I hadn’t noticed the bar closed at 9 or 10pm. As it was quiet the staff were closing early so all we could do was go back to our room at 8.45pm. The WIFI TV didn’t get a signal so we couldn’t even watch TV in our room.

Nice quirky bedroom clean and decent shower.Good choice of beers and nice choice of food which was excellent.

Nice pub with great food definitely one of the best to eat in in the area. Room was nice and comfortable. Staff were very welcoming.
WiFi was not great. I travel for work but could not get a good WiFi signal in the room so was unable to work in the evenings.

Breakfast was fine and cooked freshly to order.
The TV didn't work - it was wifi driven but the wi-fi signal was non-existent. At £130 per night I would expect a TV that worked.

Very quirky room, decent view. Really glad to have a fan available.

The location was excellent
Wifi in all areas was advertised but was very poor in the rooms. The tv only showed BBC Iplayer and Netflix and was constantly buffering

Quite small and cramped. Dinner was very good but instant coffee is not adequate these days

Pub is really nice, room was small and needs updating, no bin in room and needs an upgrade
Towels smelled of mould and couldn’t use them, shower very basic and in need of upgrade

The room was comfortable and clean.
The A40 runs along the back of the pub and was much noises than I had anticipated. The duvet was too thick for the heat and no sheet was provided (to be fair I didn’t think to ask for one). The staff were perfectly pleasant but showed no interest in me beyond providing the service they were paid to do.

Location, staff, room and food excellent, would absolutely stay again, loved it

Great little place, handy for the Three Counties Showground that we were going to the next day. Only a 35 minute drive away. Nice walks nearby for the dog.
Nothing we didn't like! Weather was a bit wet which was disappointing as we would've liked to have sat in the outdoor area as it looked great.

Loved the friendly pub atmosphere. We were welcomed right from walking through the door. Loved the doggie facilities too! We met with family and ate from the menu and the food was 1st Class!
Nothing we didn't like! Rooms were small but we were aware of this when booking and it wasn't a problem.

Lack of choice at breakfast but I am sure that if I had requested an alternative one would be made available.

Nothing to dislike.

No Chef when i had been asked if I wanted to book a table the night before. Had to settle for fast food from a greasy spoon place.
Room was disgusting. Bed had sheets on that hadn't been ironed and the bed was collapsed. Three different towels of shapes colours and sizes. Bed spread had food on it as if it hadn't been cleaned.
wasn't opened till 4.30pm. No details of how to get out the next morning. Had to leave via the back door and unlock the conservatory. No details of anything really. No manger on site to speak of. No breakfast either.
The overflow in the cistern on the toilet was going all night. Had to eventually get up and jam a bit of paper under the arm in the cistern to stop it from continually running.
All in all it was a disappointing experience.
see above.
