All staff were lovely and welcoming and an extra shout out to the young waiter at breakfast Wednesday 8th May.
Room was basic but all I needed. Clean, good TV and tea and coffee. Toiletries were supplied.
Breakfast was excellent. Easy to find and good location.
Curtains could do with replacing to stop light coming in and shower curtain needs to be longer to stop water on floor.

Great Staff and good location. Be aware if driving Union Street inside the “bus gates” is for buses, taxis and delivery vans only, our GPS took us this way !
Breakfast was ok - would prefer better coffee not filtered coffee.
10.0
The fact that it had a lovely view of Union terrace gardens at the front of the hotel . Also the location was central for the town
5.0
Great location ,small car park behind hotel with back door entrance
Room was a bit dated got woken up in middle of the night by a drunk guest punching our door tried to call reception but phone was not working ,very scary experience, daughter called reception from mobile ,didn't sleep that night as could hear person along corridor .
Disappointed staff did not contact us or acknowledge what had happened in the morning . Receptionist seemed unaware

Modern, Clean, friendly staff and great location. Will definitely be back!
the breakfast was great, but felt the food at dinner time was a bit of a let down. For example, the veg looked off and the sticky toffee pudding was a bit hard.
7.0
Room size and location. The hotel has a nice feel to it.
The very large windows had a lot of flex and looked as though they would fall out if pushed or leaned against. The rooms are dated.

The location is great for attending the music hall the bar is nice and cool on a hot day and all the staff were lovely. The burns suite was lovely also will certainly be back

Room was nice and spacious
Ordered a chicken ceasar salad, chicken was undercooked and pink, asked for new dish, came back 2-3 minutes later saying was fresh chicken however it looked like the exact same salad dish, but chicken had been blasted in microwave and replaced on same plate, Apologies given by staff buy no offern of reimbursement, had to request this on check out.

Excellent hotel, at which I have stayed many times. I was disappointed that reception was unmanned at 8am. I waited for 10 minutes -to hand back my keycards - but as I had already settled the bill the previous day, simply left them as I had a pressing appointment. Surely this is a priority at check out time?
7.0
Good location, good views from the window. Leisurely checkout.
One of the lights was out, and wasn't fixed during our stay despite reporting it. We had repeated issues with the access cards. Eventually they replaced them, but until that point we got locked out every time we left the room. Breakfast is overpriced: no option to only take the continental option.
1.0
central location
rooms had damp mould up the walls, tape over sockets, duck tape holding shower head together, staff were rude when approached with complaints. Couldn’t change rooms as hotel was also booked out with Homeless/Migrant/refugees who were constantly approaching us for money and food. Didn’t feel safe with my young grandchildren or elderly parents. This was not made aware to me at time of booking nor check in

Room a little worn. Carpet etc.
1.0
Room was fine: bed comfortable, bathroom well designed and very clean, nice area with arm chairs and over shoulder light for reading, nice furniture. The breakfast was fine and worth the discounted price. The staff at breakfast were very friendly. I was faced with an emergency and the same lady as at breakfast, got me a taxi in a great hurry for which I must thank her. The location is great, a stone's throw from Union Street and easy access to bus routes and train (if needed). A taxi rank is only one street down which was handy as well.
They lost me as a satisfied customer before I had even checked in. They offered me discounted breakfast, an offer they withdrew after I had accepted, and only re-instated once I complained, quoting a "computer error". I arrived early. At their own admission, my room was ready, but they refused to give me access unless I paid them an additional £10 per hour (i.e. £50 as I arrived at 09:00, check in was 14:00). They would rather a tired weary traveller sleep on a sofa in their breakfast area and wait 5 hours, then give room access (out of the goodness of their hearts, now E20). Utter profiteering at customers' expense. This may be part of their policy, I do not care. No other hotel I have ever sayed in has ever denied access to a room that was ready. I complained to the GM, who proceeded to give ma lecture about how they had done nothing wrong and followed procedures and how he had to be fair to other customers. Basically, "if we do the right thing for you, we have to do the right thing for everyone else." I woke at 13:20 on their sofa, with a sore back, sore neck and a dead leg to find my room keys on the table, I do not remember who put them there or when. So I went to reception to complete check in, and I got very clear dual check of the clock, a tut and I "suppose it is near enough 2pm" response. Shocking. The room was fine, except the shower had a habit of turning itself on during the night, and waking me up with the sound of water hitting the bath tub. I had to get up, turn it on, then turn it off again for it to stop. I was on the third floor, and the sound of techno beat music from their function room could be heard and kept me awake on 2 nights until after 01:00. My card keys failed once, so had to go back down to reception for replacement. Once I got replacement cards, I went back in the lift to find it stinking to high heaven of McDonald's food. I will not be back! Ever!

Great location and friendly staff especially Sophie who was working at the bar that evening, excellent customer service. The location of the hotel was perfect for us keeping local to the centre of town
Toilet in our room was a bit hit or miss for flushing
7.0
The location was excellent. Breakfast very good. Staff every friendly and helpful.
Our room was lovely and warm. However the area downstairs was quite cold. We had my Aberdeen family there for afternoon tea one day and several sat with their coats on so the heating in this area needs to be improved in this cold weather.
6.0
the room was nice and the location was perfect
there was no power on for us to check into hotel. when we did get checked in our reservations for dinner had to be cancelled because there was no hot water for us to shower. Wasn’t totally satisfied with the stay
3.0
Location was spot on for what I required. There was a particularly helpful member of staff who working in the bar/restaurant I think.
The booking.com website did not reflect what I got. The room was not well maintained. The curtains were half torn off of the curtain pole. The tv was sat on a coffee table with wires on show. The carpet had what I think was a big burn by the side of the bed. The bathroom was soooooo small and tight with black mould round the seal. If had to pull the corner chair away because I dropped something and it was very dusty.
Upon check in nearly 50% was added to the balance from what I had booked on booking.com. This took a while to resolve before getting my room keys which then after getting to my room the key didn’t work. Was not ideal.
10.0
As central as it gets. Large room with very comfy bed and all the amenities you need. Bar was good and all the staff were very nice.
7.0
Registration was easy and we were welcomed warmly by reception staff and all other staff
The room we were allocated wasn't captured on any of the photographs. Having said that it was clean, comfy bed and clean bathroom although we had wanted a room with a separate shower and not an overbath shower. We were there for only 2 nights so it wasn't worth trying to get a different room given the length of travel time we had had getting to Aberdeen,
