Beautiful accommodation, really lovely quiet location and typical Cotswolds style. So cosy inside and room was perfect. Comfy bed, great shower. Tasty breakfast. Nice pub style downstairs and games available to play which was nice for a chilled evening. Lots of parking on site, large outdoor area when it was warm and sunny. Reasonably priced. Staff very helpful and friendly, would definitely stay again.
Food was slightly overpriced in our view for nice meals but nothing fancy for the price, as was the alcohol.. pricey for a standard glass of wine.

Very old steeped in history and near a beautiful stream. Didn’t see much else outside as weather was not great.
The room was so hot! Bathroom rad was so hot I leant on it and jumped back.
The shower didn’t stay up.

Lovely old building with kooky quirks, room was lovely, clean and loved the toiletries and biscuits. The staff was friendly and helpful and the food was delicious.
Nothing really

Excellent breakfast, food, drinks, location? Gardens all excellent.
Bathroom in initial room was not to an acceptable standard, so we were upgraded.
3.9
Excellent stay but Breakfast took far too long, and it was pretty obvious for all to see, staff were stressed
More staff needed as everyone looks far too stressed out

Excellent breakfast. Lovely staff. The room was exceptionally cleaned.
We found the dinner menu limiting. Pies are not our favourite.

This is a beautiful building and location and the staff were lovely.
The shower is in the bath and access was a little awkward but it is a minor observation

Breakfast breakfast was good. Room was very comfortable
The heating as you’re aware was pretty useless. You kindly provided heaters to warm our room but they didn’t stop the horrendous droughts from the windows. The restaurant too was cold. We also felt the breakfast room could be perhaps partly turned into a comfortable lounge area with the fire.

enjoyable time in a romantic setting
intermittent scolding shower and just pies for dinner

We had the most amazing time at the old swan and Minster Mill. Cannot fault the place at all. It was snowing when we came and very Christmassy just before Christmas. The staff were excellent , food and spa excellent. Room also very good. Afternoon tea exceptional with some lovely.
We liked our stay as we had the best of both.... We had a quaint cosy stay here, had spa treatments, but also went out in Witney on the Saturday night. We are a a couple in our 30s, and didn't rate Witney for a night out but nice as a town in the day. We weren't expecting a night out really as it was a country stay. If venturing into Witney, go to the Plough Inn pub - food and drinks exceptional. Went for some drinks after. Maybe we didn't find the right places but didn't rate the nightlife, seemed to be wetherspoon type places. We wished we just went to the plough and back to the bar at the old swan, as it is really lovely.
The old swan does great pub food and has a really nice cosy bar area with open fires. Staff very attentive. Breakfast very good and staff attentive too.
If venturing out to Witney(or anywhere) uber doesn't work as remote, ask the reception desk for their taxi driver as he does a deal and very friendly.
On the Sunday we went for a good snowy stroll around the Minster Lovell ruins which we very much enjoyed before travelling back.
Very nice place. 100% reccomend to anyone looking for a quainte cosy stay.
Need a full length mirror in the old swan bedrooms. Can't speak for minster mill as our room wasn't in there.
Also , the rooms were not very sound proof. We could hear a man on the phone in the room next to us and could hear every word he was saying. Found it a bit off-putting personally for a romantic weekend away as not very private! I suppose nothing can be done about this as it is an old building but worth bearing I mind. Also, the steps were very steep up to the rooms. Fine for us as young and fit but probably worth warning for old people and for high heels.
Overall, we had a truly exceptional weekend away and these are minor areas to improve. Sorry to nit-pick!

bathroom needs TLC.

Good location and friendly staff.
Food at the restaurant and breakfast was good.
limited facilities beyond the room. the safe in the room not working, carpet not very clean, smell of damp in the room, bathroom door would not close beyond 45degrees, exhaust not working, TV at an angle that you cannot really watch.

Beautiful location, warm and welcoming. lovely friendly staff , excellent breakfast
no negatives. it was shame though her sister hotel the Minster with the leisure facilities shuts after breakfast on the Monday and Tuesday. it’s one to remember but the Old Swan is a gem of a place.

Breakfast was great. Local produce and cook perfectly.
We ate in the restaurant on the last night. Had to wait an hour for food, although it was busy. My husband and son both ordered the steak. It was cook perfectly, however it was so sinewy that they had to leave most of it.

Great room, great staff. It was so lovely sitting in front of the fire.
3.9
The staff were very pleasant and helpful and the hotel was very nicely laid out. The lounge and restaurant area were lovely and the service and food of a high standard.
Although the room was lovely, there were 2 broken window panes, one of which had been replaced with cardboard and the other with plain glass in the bathroom which should have been translucent. The bathroom was very dated and needed modernising. In particular the shower was simply a hose attached to the wall and far too low which made showering very awkward. This was disappointing given the price of the room.

The location was great and the building had lots of charm.
One of our rooms were spider infested behind the bed as well as the roof. We were moved to a more inferior room. We decided to check out, and had to pay full price for 2 nights. Food was disappointing.
3.9
Very quiet location, with walks and places of interest in the village. Excellent base for visiting the county.
Plumbing is ancient and we had to report problems more than once. However, it was fixed promptly.

Tres deçu du restaurant .Pies are good for a pub and not for a country hôtel restaurant
