The Hotel itself was situated in a lovely little village. There wasn't any views to be seen from our room. The female staff were friendly and helpful. The Room was Clean and nicely decorated and the Bathroom had both Bath and Shower again nicely furnished. The breakfast on both mornings was delicious and there was quite a few options to choose from both Hot and Cold. The Pub itself was full of locals which although nice meant not much seating available.
Unfortunately I wouldn't stay here again due to the Room we stayed in (Great Tew) being directly above the Bar area and the music Boomed through the floor until gone 11pm and began again at 8am. It was very disruptive and made it hard to relax.
Our room also being at the front meant that smokers were directly below the bathroom window throughout the evening and their comings and goings with noise and headlights wasn't great either.

Lovely charming place to stay. Beautiful room, spotlessly clean.
Very warm welcome.
Excellent breakfast
Great staff.
Ate there on both nights.
Menu not extensive but reasonable variety, however in the 2 nights 3 main items were unavailable 1 on the first night and 2 on the second. This was disappointing.

Very good breakfast - quality accommodation - lovely staff - picturesque village
Booking.com reservation was misleading as 1st floor room photograph did not match name of room given on reservation which corresponded to smaller 2nd floor accommodation very well appointed but with steep steps access.

The property is absolutely delightful! It is an old pub converted into rooms upstairs. It has lots of original features such as low beams. Both myself and my partner are tall so we did have to duck down quite a lot and it is a little uneven in places but it adds to the charm. When we arrived the pub was busy and I was a little worried it would be a bit roudy but it was so quiet. we could hear the birds outside the window. The food is delicious but it’s a shame they don’t serve food later than 3pm on a Sunday. We stayed in the top room so as you can imagine it was a little toasty in there but we had a fan in the room. The bed was very comfy and we had everything we needed. There isn’t a lot close by so you need a car, but we were quite happy about this. The staff were friendly and even let us have a peak at some other rooms once other guests had checked out. The garden is lovely and we ate out here on our first evening. We also liked the small touches like cookies in the room and a little fridge with milk and water for us. All in all a beautiful place to visit and we hope to return!
We struggled with the heat in our bathroom. As we were on the top floor our room was very warm and the bathroom was uncomfortably hot. We asked if there was underground heating but were told there wasn’t any. The shower pressure wasn’t great either.

Amazing location, warm and friendly, beautifully decorated with excellent dinner. The historic building is full of character.
The noise from people in the garden pretty late at night.

beautiful little cottage right next to the pub. private and secluded and we just had the best time. can’t wait to go back!!
being picky, the bathroom being up a further flight of stairs but there isn’t much else they could do. bathroom was beautiful though!!

Supper on Monday night was superb - fabulous samphire and squid starters, and the fish and chips was very close to being the best, if not the best - that I have ever had in a pub or restaurant

staff very friendly and helpful, location good for access to Cotswold sights and oxford.
Evening meal was very nice in restaurant and breakfast was faultless. I required Gluten free options, the restaurant had a gluten free menu and the breakfast was changed to suit also.
room was lovely, bed was comfy and bathroom very spacious.
The only issue for me being over 6 ft tall was the low beams in places.

The breakfast was great, although the service was a little slow - the waitress was very apologetic, but it was a full house.
Our room was a little too warm overnight, but wasn't major. The manager showed us around and said the communal fridge would be stocked with milk and water. We arrived back to the property around 10:30pm, and there was no water overnight or in the morning.
