It was a great little cottage in a lovely area.
We stayed at this property as we were going to Blenheim Palace, which was only 20 minutes away.
There is a lovely little pub a 2 minute walk.
We stayed there on a really hot day, but the owners don't leave you with the patio key so the property was very warm.

Stunning cottage and location
The stair gap upstairs is a bit of a hazard, if you misstep. The check-out cleaning requisites are a bit much, considering the price, you would think cleaning was included in the fee.

The location was good and the facilities also good
The toilet broke on the last night which meant I had to use a bucket to flush as a plumber couldn't be reached. This was a little frustrating and unpleasant. I understand these things happen but there hasn't been a mention of any compensation as a result of not having a functioning toilet. A little disappointing.

The cottage is located in a very nice and quiet area.
Heating is controlled remotely, you have to get hold of the manager to change the set temperature.
Extractor fan landed on my head while cooking. Property owner was kind enough to provide a refund for one night's stay + dinner. Booking.com's handling of the situation was terrible, creating confusion and even refusing to provide information on how to file a complaint.

Beautiful location, pretty cottage tastefully styled and decorated
Traffic noise from the main road, thought the 10am checkout was to early and they wanted £10 for every hour over. Bathroom radiator needs bleeding, the top half was cold

Overall we had a lovely stay at the cottage. We had some trouble with Wi-Fi but this was soon but right by the owners.
Thank you for a great place to stay!
The only thing was there were a few hairs on the bedding but apart from that it was wonderful!

On first appearance the cottage is very cute, great shower.
When we arrived the property hadn’t been cleaned - we’d been travelling all day with a 3 month old baby. We contacted the agent who after a couple of hours sent a team to clean it, we ended up having to wait at a local pub for 2 hours, eventually getting into the property at 8pm. I’ve contacted the owner to complain about this - not heard anything.
A few other points; the sofas are very tired and uncomfortable, although the shower is lovely the drain doesn’t catch all of the water so ended up putting a towel down so as not to flood the bedroom, the appliances are pretty basic (also the microwave stank of curry which is lovely when sterilising bottles!), the bed is creaky and hard.
It’s a shame as this was our first trip away with our baby for my 40th birthday, I’d expect a bit more for the price.

the property was situated within a perfect distance to Blenheim Palace and we also had a wander into Oxford too.
the chickens wandering around were lovely to see and it was certainly picturesque. It was a lovely touch to have eggs on our arrival aswell as fresh milk too.
The Bells chiming on the church each hour were the only downside to the property as everything else was just perfect.

There was everything I needed in the apartment for my stay
everything was fine

Beautiful location and nicely decorated inside. The fresh eggs and milk were a welcome touch!
Cooking equipment could benefit from modernisation, but that’s a very minor point.

Great location , very nicely decorated inside the cottage , nice little touches like tea and coffee already in the kitchen. Nice touch with the fresh eggs from the hens. Very quite location, perfect to get away and relax - overall a very lovely stay for us
Only thing we would say is that our back patio was inaccessible and the nettles were left to grow all over the back windows, we wouldnt of minded the back view of the logs that seam to be a complaint from other quests but the overgrown nettles was abit much for us

I loved the privacy of having our own place. Having a key safe to use for a no contact check in was great. The whole cottage was spotless. The milk and eggs were a nice touch. The Chequers inn was a 2 minutes walk away, this was a friendly pub with good food. Location only a short drive from Pear Tree Park and ride which we used to visit Oxford- this was an efficient service and only cost £6.50 which saved us paying £18-28 for central parking.
There is no shelf or hooks in the bathroom. Check out at 10am felt early on a Sunday, especially as shops don’t open until 11am.

Everything was exceptional. Will definitely visit again.

Spotlessly clean
The owners had thought of everything
Kind gesture of milk, eggs, toiletries
Beautiful view of church from front of property
Very quiet with lovely facilities
Didnt meet the owner but keys were left for us.
I was shocked by the log store built immediately outside the rear patio door, no light into property, looked like a building site. With the beautiful plot of land around the cottage, surely this could be moved to open up the view of the garden & let light in

Lovely location
The logs outside the back patio doors.
