(for East Side Hotel, not Mitte) rooms are small. But ok overall

I liked the bedding. The staff were friendly and the location (I stayed in Meninger East Side not Mitte).

The rooms were too small. The shower literally was a cage. I barely fit through the door and I genuinely wondered how anyone even a little bigger than me can fit.

Bene ma sempre meno benissimo

Il pregio più grande di questo hotel della catena Meininger è la posizione: i mezzi di trasporto, le passeggiate, la vicinanza con gran parte delle attrazioni principali del Mitte, la via piena di localini e ristoranti di ogni genere, i parchi... tutto mi fa dire che questo ostello/hotel sarà sempre la mia prima scelta soggiornando in città. Il prezzo si è alzato molto negli ultimi anni, però credo che ancora valga la pena. Sempre carino il cortiletto attrezzato con qualche tavolo e sedie. A colazione c'è qualche proposta per vegani come due tipi di hummus e un affettato (molto buono) 100% plant-based, oltre al pane, cereali, latte di avena/soia (da chiedere al personale perchè non è esposto nel buffet), frutta e verdura. Non è cosa da poco.

Non è la prima volta che soggiorno qui e devo dire che sta andando in peggiorando. Partiamo dalla pulizia: qualche capello e troppa polvere di troppo. Seconda cosa, per me assurda, il deposito bagagli a PAGAMENTO. Viaggio parecchio ma è la prima volta che mi capita. 6 euro, comprensivi di tasse, per portarti da solo i bagagli in uno stanzone dove chiunque ha accesso e se li può prendere. Comunque è proprio il pagamento che mi sembra assurdo, a prescindere dalla sicurezza. Capisco che il Meininger faccia anche da ostello, ma un conto è un ospite che deve fare il giro della Germania e lascia in custodia i bagagli una settimana, un conto è quello che ti chiede di tenerli dal check-out al pomeriggio in attesa del volo. Boh. Mi pare assurdo.

Poprzedni pobyt w tym hotelu zapamiętaliśmy dobrze. Ostatni niestety już nie.

Wybór hotelu był podyktowany głównie korzystną lokalizacją. Poza tym miałem już okazję korzystać z tego hotelu w minionych latach. Obsługa hotelowa była sprawna i pomocna zarówno podczas procedury check-in, jak i check-out.

Poprawy wymaga czystość pokoju hotelowego (nr 120), zarówno toalety, jak i przestrzeni pokoju. W pokoju na ścianie pokrytej ciemną farbą zarówno przy sztucznym jak i naturalnym świetle widoczne były bardzo liczne plamy. Toaleta (przede wszystkim sedes) nie został oczyszczony, a silny zapach uryny sprawiał, że korzystanie z łazienki było bardzo niekomfortowe. Niestety podczas śniadania mieliśmy również nieprzyjemne doświadczenie; wśród dużych talerzy do samodzielnego przygotowywania śniadania trafiliśmy na kilka nieumytych (niedomytych) talerzy.

Only the location.

With all my heart I do not recommend this hotel and would never go back there even for one night. In the advertisement of the hotel it says that they have a parking lot. This is a lie.After I read that the hotel has parking, I communicated with the hotel staff because we needed a parking space and they replied that there is a reserved parking space for us and wrote to me about the conditions of the parking space, deposit, car size and etc.However, when we arrived at the hotel, the staff told us, no, we don't have parking and there is no reserved parking space.I showed the message with the promise, where it says that there is a reserved parking space and asked, why did you lie to us? They replied, this is not a lie.I have never seen such rude attitude from hotel employees. First, they lie in the advertisement that there is a parking lot, secondly, they lie in a message to customers that they will reserve a parking space, thirdly, they brazenly and rudely stand in front of the customer and say, we do not lie.The room was not cozy too. With stairs, the TV on one level, the bed on another.

Muy buena ubicación, excelentes instalaciones, con muchos restaurantes y cafeterías cerca, a 10 minutos caminando de la isla de los museos.

ESTAFADORES!!!

ESTAFADORES. NO VAYAN. Al dejar el hotel me cobran 250€ de indemnización, sin comunicármelo, automáticamente. Tras varios días me entero por mi cuenta. Llamo y me explican que consideran que he fumado en la habitación. Es FALSO. Es INDEMOSTRABLE y te dejan en una situación imposible de defenderte.

Ich würde gerne mal wieder kommen.

Wir haben nicht im Hotel gefrühstückt, weil keiner in der Gruppe früh isst, aber es gibt in der Umgebung auch viele nette Cafes wo mann sehr gut frühstücken kann. Die Lage des Hotels ist phenomenal mit der Museumsinsel, dem Hackeschen Markt und der Station Friedrichsstrasse im Umkreis von 1 km. Das 3 -Betten Zimmer war ziemlich klein, ohne richtigen Schrank (mehr Ablage) aber sauber und die Betten waren bequem. Es war nur ein unangenehmer Geruch im Badezimmer (das übrigens auch sehr sauber aussah) vorhanden, den auch wir trotz wiederholtem Putzen mit Desinfektionstüchern nicht beheben konnten. Das Personal an der Rezeption war immer superfreundlich u. hilfsbereit. Es war im allgemeinen ein sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt.

Ein kleiner Schrank mit etwas mehr Abstellraum und etwas mehr Kleiderbügeln wäre praktisch und irgendwie den Geruch im Badezimmer zu beheben ist notwendig.

Not clean, unfriendly staff!

I had two days stay at the hotel, The first time when arrived the staff forgot to give me the door card, they just gave me a letter with the door number and they said is OK with this, i went to the dor and figured that i will need a card to enter the room, went back downstairs then they were fooling with me that i did forgot the cart.. but that was not the case.. then the guy started programming the card and gave it to me.. the second day i went out during the day, when i went back to the room, i was locked out! went downstairs again about the problem and the guy started laughing with me saying that it was my checkout day! but i did paid for two days.. then i showed him my booking and payment invoice, then he gave me another card... (the bed was full of girl hairs) and the room was really small for 6 beds!

The staff were great but i probably would not stay here again.

The staff were very friendly and always happy to help any queries that i had.

The curtains at the window were too short and it was difficult to get them to close to fully cover all elements of the window. There was nothing to grab onto stepping out of the shower and the shower tray itself was very sloppy , so i was concerned that i may slip every time i had a shower. The mattress were very hot. I had trouble sleeping on then. In Room 415 the soundproofing of the room is very poor , you can hear a constant slamming of doors as people open the adjacent entrances. So much so that it's sounds like someone is trying to open your own door.

Exceptional

Staff in recepcion was very friendly and for my surprise one of the girls spoke Spanish hahah. The room was clean and the give me towel without charge anything extra. I'm going to stay again when I return to Berlin
