Great location right in the middle of town

The location was amazing! You walk out the front door and Windsor castle is literally a stones throw away. Changing of the guard occurred right outside the hotel on Saturday which was a treat to witness . We had a car which we could park in the basement for 40 pounds a day. It was clean and the staff were very friendly.

Great location great for hotel before we flew out from Heathrow
Parking was ridiculous. £40 for the night was a joke.

The location is superb, on the High Street, right opposite the entrance to Windsor Castle.
Breakfast was tasty but bacon all stuck together on all 3 mornings, no grilled tomatoes available, eggs good, toast burnt, coffee good on two mornings, very bitter on the third.
Dinner was good in the evenings but excessively costly compared to last year, service variable from day to day.
This hotel is dog-friendly and the lifts work (I am mobility disabled), both of which are very good.
It was not as busy as last year, so plenty of space available in the underground car park.
Bed was comfortable.
We booked and paid for the same quality room as when we stayed here at this time last year, but were given a smaller, inferior room with no view (windows were opaqued!). Room had a Velux skylight with the electric blind thereto not working, which would result in the bright sunshine coming through from 4 am directly onto the bed, preventing sleep. We asked for this to be repaired, told it could not be, and grudgingly allocated another equally inferior room, but with no skylight. No help was offered or given to us with re-packing, transferring, and re-unpacking; staff were grumpy and unhelpful. Rooms both in need of attention, not everything working properly, room only serviced 2 days out of 3, only 1 towel left on one day, (so needed to ask for more) - overall lack of attention to detail, this was a great deterioration compared to last year. WiFi intermittent and unreliable.
The breakfast time given is 7 am to 10 am but the staff were noisily clearing away the buffet before 9:50 am - it should remain intact at least until 10:00 or 10:01 am so as not to disturb those still eating. Cutlery blunt.

Location was very good - within 100 yards of the castle, and there were lots of restaurants and pubs within a few minutes walk of the hotel so plenty of options for food & drink.

Room was a bit small compared to my previous stays there. Otherwise comfortable.
Bookings.com charging me for a no show the night before when I had cancelled the reservation and had received a cancellation confirmation from bookings. So the next time I book a hotel, I will never use bookings again even if I have to pay more.

Due to issues with a hotel next door, I ended up cancelling and booking at the Macdonald. Within 10 minutes of checking in they had the child bed brought up and made.

The location . Staff very good and friendly.
Looked a bit tired . Our room had a fan outside which made a noise 24/7

We were attending an event at Windsor Castle and the location couldn't have been better. The parking was expensive but the concierge was lovely and very flexible about the time when we needed to leave. The breakfast was excellent.
We had difficulty finding the hotel because of the scaffolding that was up at the time.we stayed. One of the rooms we had booked didn't have a second comfortable chair even though it was a double room.

It was a great place to stay ad the staff were very friendly.

Location
No shower cap
No body lotion
Shower really hard to turn on and off almost needed a spanner!

Very clean and central location for Windsor. The staff were very friendly, extremely accommodating especially Concierge for our car parking. Stress free for the two days we were here. Our room had all we needed, the bed was very comfortable, extra touches of bathrobes and slippers. Good choice at breakfast.
There was nothing I didn’t like.

We loved everything about this hotel, from start to finish. The staff were 100% customer service there was nothing nothing to much trouble for them. Even with the busy street outside, when sat in the lounge area it was so quiet.
Only the bath was too high to get in and out off. We did mention it on the way home e the staff told us we should have . This is not saying we didn't like the bedroom assured us we would have been moved

Excellent location right near Windsor Castle and the Ivy Restaurant. Hotel room was very basic for the price.
It was overpriced. For $180 it is a basic room facing the interior, looking into the windows of other rooms. Felt overpriced for what is was.

Lovely room. Great breakfast. Excellent value for money.
The air conditioning did not work and the room was hot

Brilliant room and great staff.
Breakfast was nice, selection a bit limited.

The location was the best. The room was comfortable.
There was mold around one of the window frames. I could clean it off with a tissue. I wish the cleaning staff had seen that first.
I was offered an umbrella by one of the staff (manager maybe) But when I went down to get it the woman at the front desk looked at me rather suspiciously and I had to confirm who I was and what room I was in. She then very quickly said there were no umbrellas. No smile. No courtesy. I ended up buying an umbrella from Boots just for that one evening. Don’t know her name.

Great location, Breakfast was of a good standard and lots to choose from. Rooms were clean and spacious, lovely bathroom with large shower area.
Drinks in the hotel bar were quite expensive, because of this I chose drink at one of the many bars in the surrounding area.
4.2
Perfect location for Windsor castle and the town. Room very spacious, modern and clean
The pillows were far too soft. Also the car parking rate is extremely high.
I wasn’t aware that there was no front of hotel drop off point for luggage

The staff were exceptionally and genuinely kind and helpful in every department. They went out of their way to make sure we felt looked after and had everything we needed for a comfortable visit.
4.2
We were made very welcome from the start of our break till we left
The disabled toilet was out of action which made life a little difficult for me
4.2
Beautiful room, very clean, comfortable and well appointed. We had a standard room which offered us more than enough space for 2. Staff were friendly and very helpful, and hotel in general was very welcoming. Conveniently located for the castle and town centre. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.

Fabulous staff, breakfast not included in the price, too pricey so went next door.
Bar shut very early.
Nice rooms
Car parking staff excellent.
Car parking at £39 a night was way too high.
Breakfast expensive , on top of the room charge.

Close proximity to the Castle’& other things planned for our trip
We were advised to book early if we wanted to eat in the restaurant, which we did .
However, when we went down for dinner which incidentally was a Birthday meal of which the hotel was advised at the time of booking.
All the tables (7.15pm) were laid up for breakfast , the restaurant was empty & we had to wait to have a table made up for dinner.
On reflection we should have gone out & found another restaurant but it was all a bit embarrassing.

Location in Windsor opposite the castle. Room layout and details different from the norm. Welcoming and helpful staff. Dog-friendly.
Lift key in use for added security.

Location
Until midnight there was a wedding in the hotel with very loud music, right after midnight the fire alarm went off. And the alarm was coming on every few minutes for several hours. The staff said they can't do anything, there's no fire but someone damaged the alarm point and they are waiting for engineer. We couldn't sleep in the night as this went on for hours, every few minutes; it was terrible. In addition in the morning there was no hot water, only cold so we couldn't shower as well.
On check out we complained and they said they are aware of the hot water problem as it's connected with the fire alarm.
Also that someone will contact us for potential refund of some of the money, they asked for our details and we gave them. We received no apology,no contact from the hotel whatsoever to date.

Location
They were so understaffed that no one answered the call to reception when in our room. I had to go down in my dressing gown to ask questions and get ice. One poor man (Chris) was running the whole hotel on his own. We decided to stay over spontaneously so we were not prepared. The hotel was ina ale to provide us with any complimentary toiletries I.E. toothpaste. Even the Holiday inn provide this. Upon leaving the receptionist accused us of not paying the bill which was highly embarrassing! We paid upon check in as per the hotel policy. We were forced to find receipts to provide proof. This hotel was unfortunately not worth the money we paid and we were left very disappointed.
