The Trooper is walking distance to the castle and Eton, located at the end of Windsor’s main shopping street. The staff were very friendly. Rooms are located above the pub and along one side of the pubs beer garden. We stayed in a twin room in the beer garden which was nicely furnished. The room and bathroom were both clean and the beds were comfortable.
As with a lot of places in the UK the shower was quite small by US standards but adequate.

Location was great.. 10 minutes walk into the centre. Coffee man in the morning was a lovely and welcome touch.. he was fantastic.. rooms were cosy and comfortable.
Bathroom was a little on the small side.

Breakfast availability.

The pub is located in a fairly good location and the staff interaction was good.
The room just didn't suit us and we found it difficult to close the window. Just not the right room for us.
4.3
Great location
Steep stairs but ok for me and my son. More food choice later on on evening in pub would of been nice
4.3
The location, close to the castle and the chargers on the road outside the pub.
Beds were a little uncomfortable, but ok for 1 night
.

The location was great and the room was clean.
The room was on the 3rd floor and in the night it got quite hot.
4.3
Lovely cosy room, very clean, great location for walking into the city centre, nice pub for a drink and a great Japanese restaurant next door (one of many restaurants within a few minutes walk).
It wasn't a problem for us as it was cold and wet when we stayed, but I can imagine the beer garden, right outside the room, would be quite noisy in better weather. Wouldn't recommend this room for families with very young children.

Amei o fato de ser pub e hotel, me senti num filme medieval. A equipe é extremamente atenciosa, me deu muitas dicas locais. O quarto é maravilhoso, cama excelente.

The hotel did not serve breakfast but recommended some places in Windsor. The room was good and clean. It was located at the other end of town but it took only 10-15 minutes to get to where the Castle is. Quite a lot of shops, pubs and cafes to choose from. There is a Chinese call 1623 (or something like that) which was amazing. The hotel is actually a pub - and is a very friendly one. The guy let me sample some of the beers and I enjoyed a pint in there before heading off to look around.
The bed was ok but I would say there is some room for improvement on that front. I suppose you might want to ask for a room on the lower level if you have trouble using stairs. Other than that, it was a fair price and I would certainly return.

Location
Could not get the tv to work.

The location was brilliant
The room wasn’t clean very basic
Uncomfortable beds .
The sink in the bathroom was filthy
Shower curtains very old fashioned need shower screen
Open your window on first floor at front and all you could smell was cigarettes. Very disappointed for £130 not worth the money at all

Was really nice room for a very reasonable price. Was able to get into central Windsor in 10-15 minutes. Lovely beer garden for evening drinks.
Fire alarm went off at 4:30am, wasn’t too happy about that.
4.3
Good location, near Windsor castle
Nothing to dislike
4.3
Location and staff excellent
It happened to be a very warm evening. There was no air con, and the floor fan was very noisy. Also couldn't open the roof velux window in the bathroom so difficult to get a breeze, but I'm sure it's not like that all the time.
4.3
Great location and clean with great shower pressure. The staff were friendly and helpful especially when dealing with a busy Friday evening. The personal check in and ‘leave anytime’ checkout process were seemless.
The walls in the bedroom could have done with redecoration and the hallway to the rooms though clean felt a little seedy.
4.3
Very nice small pub with good rooms. Rooms were very clean and comfortable with everything you need. Had a nice meal at the pub, they have different caterers each evening.
Beer garden is near the rooms, was raining when we were there so no one in the garden and no noise. I believe the beer garden closes at 10.30 so noise shouldn’t be a problem anyway.
Its a very handy place to stay for Heathrow.
very good value.
