Prachtige lodges, heerlijk zwembad en lekker eten. En toen 2 van onze groep zich niet zo lekker voelden mochten ze kosteloos de hele dag in de Lodge verblijven om op te knappen.

Agama charged us for 2 units, although we only used 1, due to an error on the Booking.com site. We've taken this up with both Agama and Booking.com but it has not been resolved.

Most amazing pool area and view over the mountains. Fabulous food to order for lunch and gin and tonics. The buffet breakfast and dinners were also delicious. Rooms were huge and clean and equipped with coffee and tea. Efficient air conditioner unit in the room made sleeping pleasant. 10/10!! Photos don’t do this lodge justice, well worth the money.
Wifi didn’t work properly at the rooms or at the pool area but I believe they are working on having it fixed and it may not be an issue to some people.

I booked Agama Lodge as a bday gift for my partner as we have been on the road camping. Agama is a beautiful lodge and is special due to its location. The main outdoor seating area behind reception open out to the mountain range view and the infinity pool looks onto it. The pool itself feels a little out in the open with the restaurant and outdoor tables facing it, but nonetheless , beautiful. There is a second small pool tucked away amongst the lodges which we took a moment for a cold refreshing dip ( it was winter ) before we got ready for buffet dinner. The location is stunning and what you pay for, watching sunset and sunrise is so special. Around the facility you can see warthogs and oryx walking around peacefully. The staff were helpful, friendly and made you feel at ease. There are a number of tours they support you to book as well as special treats such as skybeds. The rooms are clean and spacious.
My only issue is that there was someone else's hair on our bathroom walls and in the drain. For the price you are paying you'd hope that detail would not be missed. Also if you are vegan and gluten free, be prepared to not have much to eat. Veganism is not a thing in Namibia. If you are vegetarian you will be able to eat a few of the dishes.

Beautiful lodge, surrounded by natures beauty. The infinity pool was throroughly enjoyed in the African heat. Even better you could see warthogs and oryx's roaming around whilst taking a dip. The food and drinks was also very good. The rooms were spacious and clean. The AC much needed was very appreciated. The staff was all welcoming, friendly and willing to attend to us. The best part would be the "sleeping under the stars" experience. They setup an extra bed with sparkling wine and snacks on top of your chalet roof, to enjoy the starlight and you have the option to sleep outside. We decided to head back inside just before midnight because even though I enjoyed the starlight I wasn't going to sleep outside :) it was still an amazing experience. For our checkout day we had to check out early morning, they were so sweet and setup breakfast for us to ensure we have something to eat before we left. Thank you!
Loved everything of this property to be honest.
Just a note:
The road from Swakopmund/Walvis Bay is dreadful (that was where we came from) but it's no fault of the property. Just a heads up to others, drive slowly and vigilant and try to not drive at night. The road is quite bumpy and animals roam freely in surrounding areas. We had a zebra run out of the bushes into the road. Amazing but little nervous experience. So just a heads up, be patient you'll get there :)

The swimming pool
Dont fool yourself with the pool. Our room stank, we didnt had proper towels, food sickened us and the staff gave us the wrong instruction about going to Sossusvlei. And we had over 30 bugs in our room when we first entered the room.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Experienced a warm, heartfelt atmosphere.
The scenic game drive was superb, a 1 in a million experience with the snacks and drinks on a red dune with magnificent views.

Amazing location and unbeatable views! The staff is also super friendly. The rhino trekking start very early, so if you're planning to do that stay a couple of days

Beautiful infinity pool, lovely staff and good food.
Rooms are a bit close to each other, not sure if you would have enough privacy to utilize the rooftop bed

Exceptional location and relaxing atmosphere. We spent the last night in the luxury room and it was very comfortable and spacious.
If you have the budget, opt for the luxury accommodation not standard...the difference is huge.

Loved the room, pool, facilities in general.
The food was just ok, not as good as a typical Namibian resort.

The sunset

This lodge replaced their former campsite with new rooms in 2022. The new rooms are the superior suites, they are very spacious and comfortable. They each come with air conditioning and they keep the heat at night so you don’t need heating. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. There is no fridge in the rooms.
In terms of service the food is generally good. Lots of choices and good taste. The service was good and vey friendly!
The pool area is comfortable and has a nice view.
The activities are expensive compared to other lodges but generally very good. The visit to the dunes was very good and the sunset tour was really stunning! They have a beautiful farm, you don’t get to appreciate the beauty from the lodge, but when you do the sundowner tour you really see it!
Do know that they close the bar, restaurant and reception at 9pm sharp and all the staff leaves and closes the spaces with locks. There is no minibar in the room.
The sunbed mattresses in the pool are in so-so shape with stains despite the lodge having opened only a few months ago. The pool towels could be better like the ones in the room. We stayed there a few nights and it was quite unpredictable whether they would place all the chair cushions or not each day, whether they would clean the pool or not.
The sky bed activity was not worth it in our opinion, you can stargaze from any place in the lodge, and they gave us one small cover for a single bed, instead of a large one, so we were cold.
Despite the comfortable rooms, they were built so that many of them do not have a nice view to the mountain in front of the lodge, but rather to the other houses, which is a shame. You get your own terrace and sky bed, make sure to close the door to the terrace since we did see mice from the savannah on the terrace one evening.
As guests that stayed there a few nights, we wished that the reception team or manager had been more present and had followed up on some of the questions we had. We spent time with Lucas during the tour and he is very friendly and approachable.
Yes, wifi is quite unstable and they let you know the moment you check in, but they are hoping to get fiber internet from Solitaire in the future.

We picked that place as it was not too far (40 min gravel road) from the entrance to Sossusvlei. What should I say: It is phenominal. The apartements with the roof top beds to see the stars while spending the night on your roof is great. The infinity pool is absolutely great and the employees are super friendly and helpful. The breakfast and Dinner was also delicoius. It is definitely worth driving the extra kilometers to the gate and to stay here.
