Peeling wallpaper used to try and cover up the mouldy walls. Holes in walls and tiles in bathroom. Lots of noise. Fire alarm went off 3 times in 2 days.

I used to Booked that Small Bark of Jail for 6 Nights. I do not have any experience with that city, and that place, I and My Wife finally reach that disgusting place. First of all, we did not believe about that place is running Business as a hotel. But we were very sure in the past century that place was used as a small castle house. In The Parking lots, we step out of Taxi and felt a very Bad smell. Even the Taxi driver was also wondering about choice. Anyway, there was a very funny Entrance Door to that place, and Looking for the reception counter. Long story short > A guy show up at front of the table, and I explained about room Booking. In the meantime, he started thinking, and after a few minutes, he pass me a room key. There is no Lift to go to the second Floor. I and My wife hardly pick up our luggage. There was no Help for pieces of Luggage transfer to the room. Anyhow, on the Floor, the Carpet was soooooo Ugly and had some kind of very very ugly smell coming out, and during walking, time carpet looks like flooding the walk. We pend the room door and felt a very BAD BAD Discugsting Smell. and found a very small room, even not for sufficient room for one customer. We came back to the front counter and told the attendant about the room's condition. Long story short > Actually I and My wife decided to call a Taxi to go to another Hotel. But Guy told us I can give you another room on another upper floor. Hardly' We went to the next floor with our luggage. The room was a little bit bigger than the first one, BUT Bad Smell is the Most questionable there. No Hous Keeping, No Idea How can turn on the room light, and No calling system from the room to reception, I walked down from the table and asked that guy HOW CAN TURN ON the ROOM LIGHT. Guy Told me to Pull the Roop beside the Door. I went back to my room, and on the way Hallway almost fall onto the floor Carpet. Anyway, Turn the room lights, My wife wants to get a washroom.
I COULD SAY BRIEFLY, PLEASE RETURN MY MONEY BACK TO ME. Can't believe How the Local health department allowed to run that place as a HOTELING BUSINESS. There was nothing and any single thing to admire. How we spend one night there, Hard to explain. Very next, Moring, we run away. and Booked new Hotels for our stay In Glasgow city, and Newcastle. MAYBE YOU PEOPLE CAN CHECK OUT OUR RECORD.

We had a slight problem with our room when we first arrived, however the staff were very nice & allowed us to change rooms! They were very accommodating and helpful.
First room we were offered was very hot, the heating had been on all day so when we arrived it was really hot. Unable to open windows due to bugs flying in the room.

no breakfast on offer.Convenient location
Having travelled the world,I can confidently say that this was the most disgusting "hotel" I have ever stayed at.
one curtain missing, the other hanging by one hook.
The bathroom defied belief - no ventilation, mould all over the walls, light too dark to shave, broken shower door,no catch or lock on entrance door,no hot water.
No need to list more, you get the drift!

Nothing of note
One word......grim. Arrived and the reception attender was outside smoking with the doorway open. As I entered, they went back inside bringing the smell of smoke with them. They didn't acknowledge me until I said I wanted to check in. The actual process was not too bad. I was then told where my room was, I made my way through the hotel towards it. I crossed a few corridors and physically gagged a couple of times at the smell. Reminded me of gone off school dinners, it was rancid. Got to my room and right away, it looked like a prison cell. The walls by the bed were discoloured, there was brown goo smeared across the mirror, damp and mould in the corners, bathroom window was open, a small puddle of water on the window ledge and dead in the window. The toilet smell was just awful, the shower walls had holes in and it just smelled mouldy.
The bed felt unclean, there were stains on the pillow and the carpet was unhoovered. The smell was a cross between gone off food and smoke, again, I physically gagged when first entering the room. I seriously considered going and sleeping in my car in the carpark, it was just awful. This place needs some serious tlc. The building itself is gorgeous on the outside. The state of the inside is repulsive, uninhabitable and unhygienic. Never again.

The receptionist was very respectful and helpful as much as he could
Very dirty, teenagers under 18 were left to book making all kind of animal noise all night long, kicking furniture, destroying, shouting. Dubious people indoors.

The hotel manager was very helpful with taxi and things needed.
A lot…
Hotel was very dirty, room was dirty, price for the great north run was so over priced but I know a lot do that however for the money I’d expect a hell of a lot more.
No toilet roll, bedding was damp, huge spiders in room, cobwebs everywhere, tv didn’t work, no biscuits or milk as states on arrival, shower plug was blocked and dirty, toilet seat was broken, bed had mould down the side like a sick stain mould, bedding was dirty I had to sleep on clothes as pillow had funny stains.
