Great location and great staff. Room was very clean and taken care of!
The rooms were maybe a bit too cramped, and the WiFi was sometimes unreliable. However, I am working from my laptop whilst travelling and this means that my requirements are a bit more specific.
For holidaymakers, this place is perfect

The location was good
This is unfortunately the worst review either of us have ever had to write despite large amounts of world travel
They dont do the buffet as advertised. It is only a la carte. When we asked about the booking site saying there was a buffet they said it hasnt been like that since covid and that they just forgot to change it. We found it very hard to believe that in years of bookings not a single person has questioned the large amount of false advertising in tbe photos and the description. They said they made a request with booking.com to take down the false information and that it would take 6 days, its been 9 and it is currently still up.
The rooms have 3 large sensor lights in them that you cant turn off so if in the middle of the night if you go to the toilet, bright lights automatically switch on and shock you and wakes up anyone else in the room. Seems like such an uneccessary and annoying feature of the room.
It seems like the staff all make a lot of little mistakes and at the start its okay because we are only human but it starts to add up. Every morning they misheard what we ordered for breakfast, sometimes they had headphones in, and despite ordering the same thing for 7 days, when they didnt submit my order properly she told me to my face it was my fault for not ordering it despite being very clear and consistent about my order.
The coffee in the morning is undrinkable no matter the type you get, every morning we used the sachet coffee upstairs to make our own instead
There was also a loud banging every night that woke us up and kept us up any time it was slightly windy, unsure if it was the roof of their building or someone elses but it meant we were unable to get much sleep a lot of the time
We asked for a partial refund on day 1 for all the issues and she said she would speak to her boss, we then didnt hear anything for the next 5 days and felt like they were expecting us to forget.

Friendly staff and central location in the Old Quarter. Good breakfast.
A lightning bolt hit the hotel and the elevator was out for most of our stay. And we were on the 5th floor!
The room was quite small and not very soundproof.

Location great, staff sooo lovely, breakfast tasty, bed was comfortable.
My room was close to the lift, and it dinged all the time. A lot. It was a very busy lift! It was generally a pretty noisy place. Take ear plugs.

We used this room for a few hours as we had a late flight. No complaints, it was quiet and comfortable and surprisingly spacious.

We had a great time in Hanoi and our stay at the Golden art hotel was amazing. The staff was lovely and very kind and helpful. The room was very clean and the bed and pillows very comfortable. The hotel is located in the old town and the area is very lively during the day, but quiet at night as the night life is on the other side of the quarter; therefore it is perfect. As last, the breakfast was very good and made at the moment for you!
Ps. Much better than any hotel in the UK we ever been!

Tutto. Abbiamo prenotato da loro gran parte delle escursioni, tutte bellissime e ci hanno aiutato in tutto. Davvero top!!

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with open arms. Jasmine knew put names and made us feel at home. We were lucky enough to get a free upgrade and everything was clean and spotless! The beds were comfortable and the shower pressure was delightful. Jasmine helped us before we even arrived but asking if we needed any help and asked to forward any thought we had! As soon as we were checked in, we went to meet with her… she was fabulous and helped us plan out our whole adventure, not just in Hanoi but all of Vietnam! She helped book trips for us and everything was at a cheaper rate than I had researched! The location was great, a short walk to everywhere, although quiet in the evenings…which was great with early departures! Breakfast was fantastic, cooked to order. Thank you Jasmine and your team you do an amazing job! Wish we could have stayed longer to explore more! This property is great value, don’t go past it, you won’t regret it - book it now!
There was nothing at all to complain about! the service was amazing, particularly the spectacular Jasmine, she goes above and beyond, such a credit to the hotel!

Great breakfast a la carte. Very helpful and extremely professional staff! My husband and I loved this place. Truly recommended. We will come back!

Good location.
The room has no view at all; poor choice for breakfast.

The hotel had a real family feel and as a solo traveller I liked that. The staff were so friendly and helpful always asking how my day had been and if they could assist with anything. I could leave my rucksack with them whilst going off to do the Ha Giang loop which was good. I really enjoyed the French toast for breakfast. The location is great as it’s in a quiet area but within a very short walk you are in the thick of the old quarter. Great place and staff!

Lovely hotel!! My favourite thing was that it was located in a small and authentic street, a bit from the most touristy part. But still very near everything. I loved it. Also it has a convenience store just in front of it, so to buy water or beer up to room was no hassle at all.
Breakfast was very very good: I liked that it was continental choice (as I cant with noodles in the morning which seemed to be a common thing in Vietnam).
The elevator was not slow (as other hotels can have).
My room was spaceous and clean and great beds (I slept very well). The water was always ok for a hot shower.
The staff was very helpful and they almost became like "friends" because when I got back to hotel we could chat for some minutes about how my day was and they told how they lived in Hanoi. Very personal and polite athmosphere here.
I travlled alone and felt like they were my "host family" that helped me if any problems came by.
I HIGHLY recommend this place.
Sometimes wifi could be a bit slow but not a big problem.

The room was spacious, the staff were friendly, and the location was ideal. We were comfortable in the room, and enjoyed having the coffee table and chairs by the window.
The room feels quite old, with dated furnishings and old appliances. The breakfast was fairly basic. We enjoyed our stay but it didn't feel like the best value for money.

Very cosy and comfortable room. The staff can speak English very well. In the city center, very convenient to discover Hanoi. Good breakfast
Nothing, everything was great!
