We had a nice welcome and were shown to our beautiful room, very cosy with ensuite facilities. There are some steep stone steps to navigate but not a problem for us. A very peaceful night's sleep in a most comfortable bed. The breakfast was one of the best 'B&B' feeds we have had - various cereals, drinks and toast there to help yourself and full English cooked to order. So tasty and piping hot. Car park at the back of the building with plenty of space. Village itself is charming and peaceful.

Excellent breakfast included. Quiet location in pretty village, lovely surrounding countryside. Pleasant outside seating area for guests. Pub kept really good pint of ale!
Wi-fi a bit iffy at times.

Great setting in a pretty village. A warm welcome and a relaxing vibe. The landlord clearly cares about his beers which were first class.
It's a really nice pub.
Nothing major. Mattresses in twin room were soft and bouncy.

Pub in village . Rooms are across courtyard from pub. Friendly easy check in , amazing room with everything I needed provided . Owners and waiting staff friendly and welcoming
The en-suite would benefit from some modernisation . Loos seat was a bit lose and shower temp was a bit fiddly . However this wouldn’t change how fantastic the accomodation was over all.

Beautiful village worth exploring. Warm and comfortable.

Great breakfast
Cold in the room where we had dinner…….but understandable…….

The food was excellent. We enjoyed a delicious dinner and breakfast was equally good. The Inn is in a delightful village location a short drive from the A1.
The Inn is dog friendly and we had our dog with us. We were allocated a “dog friendly room”. The room was very small, the shower room was tiny and it was difficult to see why it was “dog friendly” as we had trouble finding a place for our dog bed. We were charged an additional amount for our dog.

Great location. Perfect pint. Lovely owner and staff. Cotton bed linen. Delicious full Yorkshire breakfast. Who could ask for more?! Excellent value.
Rooms are tight in size but charming.

Everything apart from the heating was fabulous. The heating needed to come on at least 2hours before 4.30pm and in the morning at least 2hours before it did and for it to stay on a couple of hours longer.it was freezing and I mean freezing it spoilt out stay . When you pay to stay you expect to be happy ,and not freezing, I can’t stress this enough put the heating on ,please.

Very welcoming atmosphere, it was a very cold night and the log fire was burning. The pub area is very cosy. The bedroom was clean and comfortable and better than I expected for a country pub. Food in the restaurant was presented well, tasty and reasonably priced.

Vintage building, quiet location. pretty village.
Carparking behind property.
Good walking direct from the site.
Good service at bar and restuarant; tasty food.
Absolutely not a problem to me, but the steps between the pub and the rooms across the garden courtyard could be very awkward to the less physically mobile.

Beautiful quiet village location and a great pub with excellent food. The room was very clean and the in room coffee was superb!
The room was very clean however, it was a bit tired and could do with a refurb.

clean, friendly, pet friendly. Beautiful setting with lovely walks all around. Breakfast was pretty good but plentiful. our evening meal was delicious. The staff were outstanding especially the young man. He was everywhere.
it is a small bar and people generally sat in front of the serving area so difficult to get served. On a busy evening it was difficult to get a seat.
