the location to the race course and town was brilliant,
the smell grease, especially at night and the lighting in the hall way not always not working
the beds, one maybe is only a queens size and the other was a low over hang and you catch you shin’s on it

It was a central location and very clean and spacious. Very thoughtful welcome basket.
The parking was a bit confusing and there was a lovely thoughtful basket but there were some out of date items in it.

Location. Very clean
The shower didn’t work. I messaged the host who said that it was working perfectly the week before however, the guest book completed by a previous person in the same week stated that the shower wasn’t working properly either. I don’t think this is acceptable as a working shower is essential in a rental. It did look tired and looked like it needed replacing. Although there was a bath as I have mobility issues this wasn’t easy getting in and out.

This was our second stay in Regent House, last time was just myself and my husband, this time some friends came too. It's a beautiful apartment and has improved since last time we stayed as the owners have listened to people's opinions and changed the blinds in the bedrooms for black out curtains. Also the wifi and TV worked better. The kitchen is well equipped although we couldn't find a bread knife or any sharp knives. The apartment is nicely decorated, with plenty of space and extra touches such as a welcome basket, games for kids and Netflix on the TV. Lovely, comfortable beds and perfect location, we will definitely return.
There was a problem with the hot water in the bathroom but I messaged the owner and she offered us a discount for the inconvenience caused should we book again.

No recycling, unless we missed it? Bath water warm not hot. Tiny issues.

Very helpful when I locked myself out of the flat by mistake

The property position was excellent,
The crockery was quite dirty, we had to wash it all before we used it. There was one breakfast bowl that was filthy it had what looked like welded on weetabix still attached, see photo.

After my eleventh visit to the regent's house thirsk . I tried rebooking for a repeat visit in October for my wife's birthday. I was gobsmacked to see that the prices have almost doubled . Nice apartment but can't justify the new prices . That's us done unfortunately.

Very spacious, nice decor and furniture, clean and tidy.

Fabulous location just off the main market square, on main road but not bothered by road noise at all. Had some difficulty with the lock box for keys, that could probably do with replacing, but was well supported by the hosts by phone. Free parking space is a very short walk away so no problem.
The flat was home from home, very comfortable and roomy, very good standard. I will be back! It's a lovely flat and the location is so good for touring in Yorkshire.
The lock box for keys. Very difficult to open.

lovely flat in a great location, Sarah the host was very helpful and responded quickly to questions.
There’s a problem with the bathroom floor, shower has obviously been leaking and the floor is badly damaged, and needs attention.

Beautiful comfortable flat. It had everything we needed and was ideally located in the centre of the town.
The bed in the main bedroom was very noisy every time you moved.
It would be helpful to have the flat number more prominently part of the address rather than at the bottom of the long (very helpful) instructions for access and parking. We got confused and tried flat 3, not realising that was the building number. The lady in flat 3 was very nice considering we had just tried to get into her flat and said it happens all the time!

All the rooms and the flat itself were very big, pictures didn’t actually do it justice.
Very helpful instructions and contact who went out of their way to help.
Superb location for a visit to Thirsk
I think a few simple things you would expect in a holiday flat that weren’t there.
EG no curtains in both bedrooms, just blinds.
The main living room floor wasn’t massively clean and the dishwasher hadn’t been emptied from a previous stay. Glasses/crockery in the cupboards also not very clean/very dusty.
The Wi-Fi wasn’t working initially due to an extra socket being plugged into the wall - the sort of thing that should probably be checked in advance.

In the town nice and clean
Soft patches in bathroom floor, and carparking was good but other users parked so badly couldn't get on there even though there was only 4 cars in the 6 spaces.

Centrally located, parking included.
My daughter enjoyed the toys provided. It was a nice bonus, but I'd have liked to know they were there before arriving as I'd have brought less toys for her.
We were only provided with 1/4 of a roll of toilet roll for 3 people for 2 nights, not at all enough!
The smoke detectors have all been turned off, when we tried to turn them all on they chirped as they're low on battery. Batteries need replacing as this is a huge safety issue.
Parking is not close at all and there are multiple flights of stairs to get into the property, wasn't convenient to use with a small child.
WiFi did not work.
Note saying there was a fire with the aerial in 2021 so no TV service, should update the listing if this is not available as this clearly hasn't been available for over a year.

A lovely apartment, nicely decorated, clean, spacious and very comfortable (both beds and sofa) in a fab location. Parking was no problem, the instructions were easy to follow. We didn't use the shower, we had a bath instead so can't comment on that, same with the kitchen equipment except the kettle, toaster and fridge.
Thirsk is a beautiful place with lots of places worth visiting a short drive away. Plenty of pubs, restaurants, shops, cafes, markets etc. We particularly liked The Little 3 pub that has live music on a Saturday night.
We would definitely stay in this apartment again.
There was quite a lot of noise from traffic. The blinds in the bedrooms would benefit from being replaced with curtains or black out blinds as the bright sun disturbed us in the morning. There was a lot of heat and smell from the restaurant kitchen below.. The WiFi and TV didn't work very well. None of this would put us staying again though.

The location was really good. The parking was easy and the 3 minute walk was not a problem.
