Location is ideal.
I was in the mews rooms. It wasn’t very clean, there were cobwebs all over.
The bathroom is tiny. You can hardly sit on the toilet as the sink is over your knees. Overpriced to stay in a horrible room.

Our stay at The Golden Fleece was excellent. Our room and en suite were very clean and beautifully decorated.
Our evening meal and breakfast were delicious and the staff were helpful.
We would definitely stay there again.
The bedroom was a little too warm for us but that could just be our personal preference.

Loved the location and the staff, food was good too.
The room we had was very noisy as it was near the kitchen area and there was a motor vibrating :(

Comfy big bed and lovely breakfast. Toiletries were good.
Bathroom a bit small and had to ask for towel as only one left in room.

Staff at breakfast were helpful and friendly. Check-in and check-out staff also friendly and helpful.
Staff on for lunch and dinner were dressed in jeans and trainers with phones in their back pockets. When chatting amongst themselves not very willing to come and serve - unless you had a dog with you.

I felt very welcome and my room was very comfortable. It was quiet and peaceful. The staff were helpful. The food was very good. There is a very nice atmosphere. I very much enjoyed my stay.

Very comfortable beds and we were upgraded to a deluxe twin, which was a lovely surprise!

actual shower could have operated better. maybe because of lack of use only problem. lighting not good enough for makeup as per my wife’s needs

location, nice decor and good food
the room we stayed in wasn’t that clean, dog hairs all on the bathroom floor, the shower needs a good clean in the grout and door runners and it could have been dusted as there was dust on the lamp bases.

well placed in the centre of Thirsk and was a lovely cosy hotel.
The lager that we drink was unavailable so we had to go elsewhere and there was a lot of noise coming from the room next door which wasn’t a guest room.

Receptionist was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Upgraded to a better room.

Brilliant location..pubs really good most dog friendly...hotel great selection of drinks and food...
We had our old dog with us and we were on the top floor 3 flights of stairs, so wasn't great for her...
But that is the only thing.
