The location is great but all else was subpart

Lovely room set in amongst beautiful tropical gardens. The room is generous in size with a large balcony looking through the jungle out to sea. The kitchen is well appointed with good quality cookware and plenty of crockery and cutlery. Our room, E4, was a short walk down to the beach.
The trucks and buses can be a bit noisy putting on the brakes going down the road below. Not a problem at night.

Truly awesome location with lovely pool(s), stunning views and visiting wildlife - depending on which room you get. It's all rustic style scattered around up on a hill, gorgeously surrounded by nature. We saw monkeys, gouties, toucans, parrots, macaws, and more, all from the pool and balcony. It's not in a town but there are options for bars and restaurants within a really easy walk and there are regular buses (or 10min walk) down to the beach. Staff are helpful with info, booking tours etc. Rooms are very comfy with balconies to relax on. Really Lovely!!
The rooms vary, even within the same category. If you get lucky it's awesome (none of it is bad, by the way!) For example, we moved room twice to not be by the car park, and not in a dark corner, and ended with a gorgeous view of forest and sea. Decor is hit and miss too - it really wants to be stylish (it's not cheap!) but sometimes just seems cluttered.

We loved being in the jungle and surrounded by all the vegetation and of course the wild animals. It was nice to have an ocean view even if it was small. The place was very calm so this was a definite bonus.
The walk from the reception or the restaurants seemed "far" after a long day of tourism. The beach was not as close as I thought. We walked there one day but then took the very convenient bus the other. It would have been nice to offer brunch.
7.0
large comfortable rooms, big terrace and terrific views. anaconda for breakfast - good choice and views (not included).
furnishings and bathrooms are dated. staff rather surely. no separate towels for pool (you use your room towels) and no provision for beach towels. With room rates at $300+ per night without breakfast, I found the value lacking.
5.0
close to beach and restaurants, there are rooms with nice ocean views.
we stayed in efficiency room with so called garden view, which was actually parking lot. room was full of windows, there's no view but parking lot - you basically feel staying in a fishbowl like place at night.

gorgeous views, very friendly and helpful staff, and comfortable room. And our kids loved the zip coaster ride on/near site.
no hotel transportation option. to beach and was steep walk. would recommend they run a few shuttle times there and back per day as another place we stayed in area did.
8.0
location, view of pacific, restaurants, balcony & rocking chairs
noise from street, only one set of towels not second for pools

Beautiful location and facilities. The property and setting were gorgeous.
The staff in general were profoundly homophobic. They treated us with distain and profound disrespect much of the time. The staff at the restaurants either did not think we understood Spanish or did not care that we heard and understand their insults. There were 3 exceptions--2 front desk staff and the bartender at the pool bar were professional, courteous, helpful. But the others were so unpleasant we were stunned. It made the trip a huge disappointment.

We stayed in the adults only building. Our room was very large and fit 4 adults very comfortably. It was great to have several restaurants close by. spectacular views.
I would not say did not enjoy but I will admit this resort was more spread out than I expected and a few of the restaurants required a walk up a steep hill.

What an amazing stay, lovely staff and location. The views were exceptional and very close to the beach. It was also surrounded by beautiful wildlife

beautiful property surrounded by jungle
the hotels hosts wedding events with very loud music into the night. not exactly what you expect when you go to a location to enjoy nature.

The hotel turned out so much better than we expected, the location is perfect, close to the national park and beach and close to many restaurants and a nice bakery where we ate breakfast each morning over looking a breathtaking view. The adults only pool was lovely and the views were again breathtaking especially at sun set. Saw lots of wildlife around the pool area which was Incredible. The pool bar done very nice cocktails. Waking up to howler monkeys was amazing. The staff were lovely and very helpful, they booked our tour for us for the national park which I would highly recommend doing. We saw so much wildlife while staying in Manuel Antonio. The hotel made our stay here even more special. Book Costa Verde you will not regret it!!
We liked everything about this hotel I can't even think of 1 thing we didn't like.

what a wonderful location! we possibly saw more
wildlife close up whole we were in the hotel poo
then the whole 3 weeks in Costa Rica including a
sloth and it’s baby hanging out on a low branch on
a tree. We were greeted so warmly by Jason on
arrival who helped with so many things. The room
was superb, the beds the most comfortable thing
I’ve ever slept in and tue views were breathtaking
across the ocean.

The staff was very helpful and prompt when we had questions about how to operate the safe, etc. The room was nice, and it was convenient to have restaurants associated with the property. There is a sloth that frequents one of the pool areas, which was entertaining to my kids.
The windows did not open, and the A/C was hard to adjust to the right temperature. On a day we had hoped to rest in the room, there was loud construction going on (jackhammers) right below us. At night, the loud music from the hotel restaurant could be heard as we were trying to sleep.

The setting, location and staff
Breakfast was not included. We were told that option was not available in the hotel.
During breakfast there were others in the hotel who had breakfast included though.

The location next to Manuel Antonio National Park, is fabulous! Our studio had a huge, beautiful balcony with a gorgeous ocean view.
We went to several restaurants on the property that were great, they’ll even shuttle your around to them.

The view from the main pool is incredible, and we saw tons of monkeys and iguanas on the property.
