It was “beachfront”
The restaurant was terrible, the waitress was extremely rude, it was like 1000 stairs to our room which made it imposible to carry our bags. The safe broke with all our stuff inside, during the night the water got inside our room from the balcony because it was raining. The keys stopped working every day and the breakfast that was “included” was only like 3 things from a small buffet and it was cold and horrible. The a/c controller never worked so we had to guess which mode it was on and the temperature. Never coming back!
7.0
Nice pool and very close to the beach
Free sun loungers on the beach
Location to Manuel Antonio national park
Wildlife on the hotel site - monkeys, Iguanas, Agoutis, Toucans
Breakfast was basic but did the job
Wifi was poor. Our room was up the hill and the wifi would only work in half our bedroom
The bathroom was very very small. It had bits of mould on it as well which wasnt very pleasant
The menu at the hotel was absurdly expensive. $10 for an iced coffee, $25 for a pizza.

Very near Manuel Antonio entrance and the hotel has lunch and bed at the beach. Very convenient.

Nice location and appreciated beach access. Great breakfast. Enjoyed seeing monkeys at the restaurant. Staff were very friendly and helpful in booking tours.
More hooks and hangers would be nice. It's definitely a long hike up to the villas but the view is worth it.
7.0
Good but would’ve been nice to have someone in charge of lifting buffet lids instead of having to do it yourself and cover up some other container while serving yourself.
Towels for the beach were very worn. Also they did not replace when cleaning.

perfect location! Far enough away from the park that the beach was not too busy but still so many animals. we saw monkeys every day, iguanas, lizards, agouti, macaws, and even an anteater at the beach! kids loved the fun pool with a little waterfall. we loved having beach chairs to hang out out in and it’s a very fun beach to play in the waves. Villas were basic but clean and great views, definitely a hike to get up to the room. very good, filling breakfast.
Restaurant food was not great and prices were very high. stick to the burgers and pizza there.

Easy access to a wonderful beach with shade as well as sun.
The breakfast, while it was all very tasty I would have appreciated more meat options and real butter. If possible, a gluten free bread. But what was provided was delicious .

We saw sloths and monkey. Great view from the bungalows on the hillside.
Walking the long stairs to the top bungalow where our room was. Stairs were uneven and tough walk up.

Easy access to beach. Beautiful, simple, never a wait or line.

close to the beach but are room was located up 100 steps
the room was dingy, several cracks in walls , would be nice to know about 100 steps to get to room

Lovely location by the beach (beach front rooms), with lots of animals (birds, monkeys, a sloth etc.) in the gardens.
Nice comfortable food.
The restaurant is ok, but could be better.

Great position, book a bungalow on the hill and you will be rewarded with a stunning view and pleanty of wildlife.
Breakfast was a bit slow, restaurant average.

The cost...expensive...!

Very comfortable bed, great sea view, fantastic breakfast and beautiful well kept gardens!
Still some renovations/landscaping needed on mountainside. Breakfast was great but other food and drinks available were very overpriced and not particularly nice.

This place was pretty incredible. The view from our room was excellent and it was a short 2 min walk to the beach. The room and bed was comfortable. The wifi was solid. I'm used to being in place with not so great wifi, so this was plenty fine. The food was also pretty good at the restaurant. Would definitely come back here again.
Located on the edge of a very touristy area, the prices were pretty high, which I guess is expected, but I didn't love that part.

Great beach access (and a very nice beach - Espadilla), restaurant just steps from the beach, tables among the trees between the restaurant and the beach where you can have a drink and watch the monkeys above! Short walk to Baldi's for the shrimp tacos!! Within walking distance of Manuel Antonio Park also!
Breakfast could have been better (we tired of fried plantain and chunks of wieners)

The check-in, staff, view, clean room, beach access, chairs on the beach, and grounds were all wonderful.
We would return here because of all of the pluses and with foreknowledge about the internet.
The wifi was spotty and one night we could watch Netflix and the next we could not. I could not access the internet on my iPhone or iPad while there, although my wife with an Android could a little bit. I had work and did it over text instead of email which was not ideal.
We ordered a virgin pina colada and a regular pina colada and they were plasticy tasting. Even as a sweets lover mine was way too sweet.
Breakfast was supposed to be at 7 but it was not ready until 7:15 and we wanted to be in the park as close to 7 AM as we could. Normally in the pura vida lifestyle, 15 minutes is not an issue, but because the park is super crowded it was difficult to get a guide and process our already-bought tickets because of the people in front of us. I feel like the 15 minutes would have made a bit of a difference.

The bungalows are really nice, huge window with a sea view. Beach is really close and that is hard to come by in Manuel Antonio, as this is rather mountainous region. We even walked to the National Park from the hotel, it's not that far. The staff is very positive and helpful. The drinks in the restaurant are pretty nice as well!
The food in the restaurant is not only relatively expensive, but also really bad. Breakfast is OK (buffet) but if you order something for lunch you may regret this as we did. The driveway to the parking lot is quite steep and you can damage your car if it is low and you not careful.

Location was perfect, right on the beach and a walking distance to both the national park and restaurants. The views from our villa were spectacular, absolutely beautiful. You could spot capuchin monkeys, agoutis, iguanas, hummingbirds etc daily from the terrace of the villa. The room was a decent size for two and the buffet style breakfast was good, although the same every morning.
The bathroom door wouldnt lock. Not an issue for us though. Also the climb up to the highest villas is quite tiring, but worth the views.

location and staff
quite a hike to the rooms, all uphill!

Beach access, incredible views, flora and fauna galore.

The location of this hotel is perfect. You can access the beach from the hotel but there’s also restaurants within a 10-15 minute walk. The bus stop is right outside which is only 390CRC into the main town. There is a little convenience store less than 50 meters away on the main road and a fridge in the room to store anything.
The wildlife around the hotel was incredible. There was a sloth beside the pool for the duration of our stay, lots of lizards and iguanas, capuchin monkeys being mischievous and capybaras wandering around.
We stayed on a road side room and the noise throughout the night was unbearable. The quad bikes and trucks go past all through the night and due to the steepness of the hill the engine sounds are extremely loud. If it wasn’t for that we would’ve given this place 10/10. Not being able to sleep really impacts the quality of your stay and all it would take to resolve the issue is double glazed windows.

Nothing
Everything was really bad. The room was very far away, a few hundred stairs and they offer no support with the luggage. Breakfast was really bad: rice, scramble eggs and margarine. Some very old fruits and that was all.
People not very polite and not willing yo help
Will never stay here again

amazing location on the beach! next to the bus stop to get into town. the reception were super helpful organising us shuttles and tours. the rooms were clean and comfy. also in walking distance to the national park entrance.
the sun beds on the beach were a bit worn out, plastic and cheap which made the hotel not look as nice as it actually is! also the wifi is very temperamental

our deluxe bedroom villa view was stunning
