Nothing - the room smelt bad like someone had been smoking, the shower was a cupboard that was dirty. The bed wasn't too uncomfortable.
What could have been better is if Bookings.com actually went to inspect the places listed on their website. It was shocking - the room smelt bad, with damp and water damage on the walls, the shower wasn't useable because it was dirty, with something oozing out of the shower head.

Small cozy room for a cheap price close to the university of Edinburgh (Pollock Halls). The bed was soft.
The accommodation is easily reached by multiple buses from the city centre of Edinburgh.
Requested if I could leave my bags after departure for a couple hours and there was no response from the accommodation. If you're interested in things more towards the city centre, than this accommodation lies a little further out.

The bed was really comfy, and the room was big.
Didn’t like the code system, they weren’t easy to use. Wasn’t sure if allowed in breakfast room or if breakfast was included as the room was locked.

having codes to enter the building in room made it easy when arriving. it was a quite area and had an amazing window in our room.
the shower was a little awkward but considering the building it worked.

Room comfortable and warm, but had to change room once as there was leaking water on the floor in the first room allocated. The staff were quick to reallocate to a dry room.
This hotel has stopped providing breakfast, a big disappointment.

clean , spacious and only a 15 min Uber from the playhouse
plug in oil heater small, I would have preferred an extra £10 charge for the heating to be on

It was good for a 1 night stay in Edinburgh.
The room could of been bigger.

There are bus stops nearby, the only staff member we saw was the cleaning lady, but she was very kind an helpful, bed was ok (a bit too soft for us), shower was good.
There were two big problems for us:
1- Heaters don't work, and this is Scotland in the winter. We were provided with one extra heater, but it wasn't enough for a room our size. The next morning we asked the cleaning lady for an extra one, and then we got warm.
This should be explained before you book, I think.
2- The toilet just won't flush properly. Imagine having a family of four, with a toilet that won't flush? They need to fix this asap. Not only that, but there was something wrong with the toilet seat, and every time you sat on it, it would slide to one side. Really uncomfortable.
