Still our favourite hotel in Manchester and would stay again.

First night was excellent and we enjoyed the drinks in the hotel bar which is lovely.

On the second evening there was a private event which meant the bar was closed to hotel guests which we didn’t know when we made the booking. The event was noisy as we were on the floor below and it went on till 1am. When we told reception on checking out they removed the service charge as a goodwill gesture.

A special occasion -25 anniversary unbelievably disappointed and fortunately not a marriage breaker

Megan the "duty manager" dealt with my dissatisfaction appropriately although some of the points she made I felt were totally invalid.She did follow up and did attempt customer satisfaction;Given the issues were not of her making she responded as best she could and even if she had given a full refund, which she did not, I would have still been upset with regard to the preceding events

The swanky bar where I envisaged spending the night drinking cocktails could have been open as opposed to closed off for a private party.The in room info does invite you to enjoy this facility - we were not allowed to and had to walk to the Lowry Hotel to avail ourselves of their facilities instead.Apparently as we booked the day before they did not have time to tell us and we were the only ones not informed(although a fellow guest at checkout said he had the same complaint)and apparently it's appropriate for hotels to close of the swanky facilities you've booked there for with notice or recompense. Room was nothing like the glamorous visions shown on website - no slipper bath for us just a disabled walk in shower. Informed of 25 wedding anniversary and the minute and clostrophobic reception area allowed us to greeted by a mid twenties youth ,who could not have been more ambivalent. Finally, upon leaving the lift would not arrive;as I stood waiting I noticed the adjacent lift was ajar and presumed it had arrived but the door had not fully opened so I stepped in although it was partially open and fell as it was broken and the floor of the lift had stopped short of the exit door. and had not been sealed of or sign posted.The drop was not great 8 - 16 inches or so and I only tweaked my ankle but the response informing the staff was jaw dropping. "It's not been very long .... only 45 minutes" So seriously 45 minutes and not taped off, no cones,no warning sign in front or no 5 star penguin suited employee to stand there preventing such accidents. I'm sure a Premier Inn standard hotel would've had it taped of in under 5 and might have even offered us a drink on arrival but I guess fancy suits, 5 star attitude will keep the wealthy clientele coming back

Best hotel in Manchester. Will always book

The inner sanctum room was fantastic specifically the Curtis. Loved the decor and layout. The staff are always amazing and friendly and the bed is super comfy.

A couple of the towels had holes in it. The tv remote also didn’t work from time to time.

Good spot to check out all nice places in Manchester. Great restaurants nearby. Especially Gordon Ramsey’s Lucky Cat.

Location, great room. Good bed

Light in the room is all it nothing. A dimmer would be nice. Staff is not responsive when it comes to special wishes. Nice bar but we never found staff there. Brought our own drinks. No lobby. Restaurant has no atmosphere. Unlike the rest of the hotel.

Disappointing and overpriced

Bed was very comfortable.

Very strange reception area on 6th floor, asked to add breakfast into booking (this was not done). Room was ok but way smaller than expected at the price point. Breakfast service was not great with much of the breakfast itself being very bland. On checkout we were shown our bill only then to be charged again later that day for 4 breakfasts!!.. money refunded but they still have a £100 deposit on hold which has not been returned 4 days later.. overall a disappointing experience.

The attention to detail was superb. Very, very stylish room. Fabulously firm and comfortable bed. Excellent shower!

ermmm good But not Five star

The property is stunning the staff where lovely there was only us in the restaurant

all the windows are sealed shut so there’s no fresh air we have both had bad coughs and flu like symptoms since the visit. The hotel staff as lovely as they were tried 2 times to charge us. extra even though we had paid half board The food was lovely but very limited. breakfast we received our toast in a bag i had to get up and get butter

Fantastic hotel, great location, super helpful and friendly staff

We have stopped here a few times, All the staff are very welcoming, they have the added benefit of valet parking should you require it, it also has a roof top bar and a fantastic restaurant all with excellent views of Manchester, the hotel is only a few minutes walk from shops bars night life etc, I would highly recommend this hotel and I will be back again hopefully very soon

All style, no substance.

Very stylish decor, beautiful to look at.

Sadly the lift malfunctioned and i had to forcibly open the doors, this caused me to have a panic attack and feel extremely uncomfortable so we decided to immediately check out and return home.

Nice hotel that very clean in a good location, with friendly staff.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming, the hotel was atmospheric with the themes.

Didn’t have a good nights sleep the bed linen and a fragrance that got on my chest & kept me awake.

Beautiful property let down by management

Great property but a lot comes at an extra charge.

They only tell you via a phone call that I missed, due to busy schedules etc, that the card that you book on is the one you must leave a £100 deposit on, which then gets tied up for a month. Not properly stated and the management have a very robotic response to deflect concerns.

Fabulous Hotel and Rooms and Excellent Position!

Room was classy and clean. The bathroom was beautiful. The bed linen was very fresh. All in all the room and stay was very good. The hotel is very well positioned in Manchester and the service is friendly and professional.

We didn’t book the breakfast although it looked great. It was a little bit expensive for us but I’m sure lots of people would be willing to indulge.

Fantastic!!

Great location, comfy beds, beautiful boutique hotel. Staff couldn’t do enough for you. It was our wedding anniversary so we had a nice room and chocolate treats waiting for us. We had a lovely meal and drinks in the roof terrace. All staff very attentive. Thank you

room extremely hot with no ventilation no clear pricing on the mini bar - tag on bottle of wine but no menu of charges visible complementary items used. Half full shower gel and conditioner. notepad full of handwritten notes and food stains. lots of dust in the bathroom lipstick marks on glasses in minibar poor quality breakfast item. - cheap frozen sausage

Excellent business trip.

Great theme to the hotel. Excellent customer service. Quality of food really good. Great shower and facilities in room, if a bit small.

Ventilation in room cool. Only 1 lift was working and reception is on 6th floor. Poor non dairy options at breakfast. Quantity of food is small.
