If you are looking for peace and quiet in a beautiful setting this is the perfect spot. The cabin is one of the few on the lake that retains its old-timey charm with just enough modern amenities to make things comfortable. It is a true getaway. I loved my stay here and look forward to a visit next year.

If you want peace and wuiet this cabin is for you. At the end of the lake there is little noise except for the loons on the water. All the furnishings are adequate and comfortable. The best features are the screened in porch for enjoying your meals and the deck for sirring, reading and relaxing. If you are looking for peace and quiet in a beautiful location this is it. Everything you need is right handy (although no tv and internet -fine with me). Lovely screened in porch for eating, beautiful deck on which to watch the loons and almost no noise. Love it.

Quiet Maine camp like you'd read about! Relatively close to town and a bit of action- but not taken over by speed boats and party barges!

We loved everything about our stay at this camp! It has everything you would need for a wonderful camp experience. We really enjoyed the privacy provided by being at the end of the lake. The listing stated it included a canoe and paddle, which were not there. This wasn't a big issue for us, as we brought our own fishing kayak, but may be a bigger deal for others. The big front window and screened in patio provided a beautiful view of the lake, even on cooler or rainy days. As a lifelong Maine resident, and having grown up spending time at my grandparents' camp, I can definitely attest that this property truly is an authentic Maine camp! We will definitely be back next summer.

Beautiful stay
Our over all experience here at the cabin was beautiful. The cabin in itself was not. It is a cabin so with that in mind, the glass is single pane. Meaning you can stand on the otherside and have a conversation. It is not well insulated hence the wood stove. The cabin was not cleaned prior to our arrival. Not sure if that was on the "maintenance manager" or the last guests. The red couch was covered in dog hair and black stains make sure you bring furniture covers. I went to Walmart thats about 10min down the road for alot of things. The toilet seat was broken. The rugs throughout the cabin were soiled. The cabin is about 3hrs from Acadia Park. We went for the day and came back woke up the next morning and found the paddle boat we left in the water was gone. (the canoe in the listing has a crack in the front. Paddle boat was provided.) I text Alison in a frantic manner as we thought someone had taken it. Turns out the maintenance man did and didn't bring it back. He put it in storage for the year. That stinks, that was part of the listing/perks as to why we chose this place. That was the 3rd day we were there. We had 2 days left and no boat or anything to go back out into the lake with. There's a picnic table out on the island. You can putz around the calm lake on the boat. It's really nice , it is. We ended up cutting our vacation short due to the above reasonings.

Great location
We had a wonderful stay here, would've like it a little cleaner and the canoe we were told was there for us to use had a big hole in the bottom so we couldn't use it. We did enjoy ourselves.

End of lake bliss
This cabin is at the end of a lake with wonderful privacy, quiet and loons. The swimming to a large granite rock across the small lake was fabulous.

Unplugged Retreat
Perfect getaway! We enjoyed the paddle boat, swimming, watching the loons and hanging out on the screened porch. It’s a quick trip to the dairy bar.

Slice of heaven
Everything was just perfect. The privacy at the end of the lake was incredible. The water was shallow enough to not worry about my kids by it. The property had everything we needed and then some!
We saw loons, bald eagles, bunnies, etc.
My husband and sons caught a bunch of fish!
We swam, we had s’mores, hotdogs on the fire both indoors and out.
We explored blueberry island and had a picnic
We enjoyed dinner and ice cream at nearby Anderson Mills Dairy Bar
The golf club restaurant has amazing food and service as well!
The cell service was unavailable in the house, but came back as soon as outside. It was honestly perfect. It kept us off our phones and spending quality time together!
Our boys cried as we left and are already asking when we can go back!
Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity for such amazing memories at your oasis :)

Quiet and relaxing
If you wanna just chill by the lake, spend time with family or even play some golf then this is perfect. There is only one house nearby so it’s extremely quiet. You are only 12 minutes away from a Downtown that has everything you need. No internet or TV so it forces you to put down the electronics and get away from work for the time you are there. My cell phone worked fine and I was able to stream a Celtics game using cellular data. I highly recommend staying here. My favorite parts were having a wood stove and two big recliners that face the lake. Let’s just say I fell asleep for naps often. Much needed retreat. I have already recommended this property to other friends that wanna get away.

Perfection
This little cabin is a slice of heaven. Lakeside, woodside, no other camps in sight, and a world of wildlife to listen to and watch. No need bring your own binoculars, the camp has at least one pair. Everything works like a charm and clean up is a breeze in this camp tht harkens back to simpler times.

Quiet peaceful Maine cabin on the lake
Perfect relaxing experience on the quiet end of a beautiful Maine lake. Loons, geese, eagles, are part of the landscape. Close to town. A wonderful refreshing respite.

Breathtaking view of Lake Nickersonn
The property is a "no frills" camp that has absolutely everything needed for a wonderful stay. There is a fire pit and wood burning stove. The bedrooms are comfortable but sparse. The deck and screened in porch offer the most spectacular view of the lake. There is a canoe and paddle boat. There is also plenty of seasoned firewood. I would totally recommend this property fo a relaxing and comfortable stay.

Two for two!
This was our second time spending a week in August at this adorable little camp. We loved our stay! So private, the lake was perfect for swimming and fishing and we spent plenty of time exploring in the paddleboat. So nice to unwind and unplug! We can’t wait for next time, thank you!

Cozy and quiet. Lake fairly shallow nest camp limits speed boats but attracts birds.
It’s great if you’re looking for a peaceful place with all the basics you need plus some nice amenities.

Authentic Maine Camp
This is an authentic Maine camp, no frills, but clean and well equipped with the basics. Our goal was to unplug and relax and this property provided the perfect setting. We enjoyed watching the loons from the deck, almost daily visits from a bald eagle, and even caught a glimpse of the otters. Great communication with the owner throughout. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to get away from it all.

Lovely camp!
Right on the water! Really pretty, cozy interior, great screened porch and deck. Awesome time watching a loon family, eagle, geese (not too many) and fireflies. Large boats seemed to turn around just before they got to "our" part of the lake (because it's shallow, I'm told). Camp has a nice canoe, life jackets and a paddle boat. All the kitchen gadgets we needed, puffy feather pillows, and a big pile of books for leisure reading. Charcoal grill and a firepit. We loved it!!

Wonderful stay!
Everything about this little gem is magical. The location on the lake where we heard loons and bullfrogs sing every night for us, beautiful cabin with all we needed for the week, great weather and easy to get to town location. We are coming back next year!

Get away to a quiet place.
It's an older but charming cabin on a quiet end of the lake. The water is quite shallow out front which, while still OK for swimming, limits big boat traffic--a good thing. The entire opposite side of this pea pod shaped lake is all conservation land. That helps make the cabin a peaceful place to read and appreciate nature. Loons, heron, kingfisher, hawk and a barred owl all made appearances while we were there. As others have said, the kitchen is fine and the screen porch is great.

Cozy and Quiet! A Geat Hideaway
I grew up in Northern Maine, but live in the city now. I love taking my kids to this camp to share a glimpse of what life was like ‘when I was a kid’!!

Peaceful and Perfect
This little gem is exactly as described, but the pictures don't do it justice. Very private and so relaxing, we didn't mind a bit not having TV or Wi-fi. I would recommend that you bring games. There is a nice selection of books. This was the perfect get- away and great for entertaining family. Comfortable beds and everything needed was provided. Loved seeing otters playing, loons with babies, osprey, and heron. Quite convenient to restaurants and shopping. When we return to the Houlton area, we will definitely stay again. Thanks!
