most of the stuff are good and up to good standards
location is bit confusing but it’s okay

Lovely welcoming, helpful hosts. Help was also offered to a guest in the form of an offer to drive them to a nearby wedding venue. Super breakfast - worth booking for it alone at the price we paid.
Our bedroom needs a few little repairs to make it perfect.

Just what we needed for a place to stay after attending a nearby wedding. Breakfast was nice and staff were brilliant.
Could hear people in neighbouring rooms and their toilet flushing.

location was brilliant, good value for money
only issue was size of the shower was slightly small

The single member of staff we interacted with during our one-night stay was polite and checked us in without issue, no complaints there.
The room. It was freezing cold and the heating could not be adjusted by us, it's controlled externally/by the hotel. The shower was small and water didn't drain, pooling around the feet when in use. The toilet dripped and hissed all night.

Bed was comfortable
Breakfast was lovely
Lack of space in the room and the shower was terrible - barely a trickle no matter what temperature or shower head setting

nice atmosphere staff friendly welcoming
breakfast so much choice rather than the standard English cooked breakfast
bathroom was a bit small okay for us but would not suit a large person

Very good breakfast
The plugs in room didn’t work or the lamp

The breakfast was good
You can literally hear every word, every toilet visit every argument and every couples make up after the argument through the walls. We hired 2 rooms and both rooms said the same. Literally got no sleep.
Light fittings with electrical wires loose and bear.

Lovely attentive staff.
Bar shut early and not enough ambience to want to hang out in the bar area. Bedroom very small.

Staff were really friendly and helpful, the decor is nice and welcoming, especially in the bar/restaurant. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was freshly cooked, piping hot and really tasty. It's a nice place to stay. Room was spotlessly clean.
I'm trying not to be too harsh because I've stayed before and had a really pleasant weekend. However, when we first went to the room it was really cold so I went and asked one of the bar staff if there was an issue with the heating and I was assured that it was on a timer and that it would be on to have the room warm in the evening and morning. We returned around midnight and the heating had clearly not been on at all as the room was freezing so we went straight to bed. As a result of the temperature I had hardly any sleep and the heating also failed to come on in the morning. We did get an apology and was told that somebody forgot to switch the timer on and I'm grateful for the apology but the issue did spoil the stay.

One of the nicest places we've stayed
Loud music was heard until midnight (this may not have been from within the hotel). Other guests were extremely noisy coming in after midnight (not sure what the hotel could do about this though).

The breakfast was amazing and the staff were lovely
The room was freezing when we got in that night because the windows were open the heatingwouldn'tgo on, the room smelt of drains. The shower was freezing and the shower tray filled up with cold water until the hot came threw . The shower waste wasn't draining and the smell was of drains. I did complain the next morning and was expecting a call that I never received.

Where do I
start with this hotel? It wasn’t the best to try and locate, there was no signage indicating where the hotel entrance was. Upon our arrival of staying there for two nights, the staff member appeared somewhat approachable but wasn’t the best conversationalist when trying to have a bit of banta. Once given our room keycard, didn’t really work for the door, the room wasn’t the most hygienic place to stay, stains on the floor and curtains, other peoples hair in the bath tub. The room was very outdated. The electrics were dodgy, flickering lights and I wouldn’t trust the bedside lamps as far as I could throw them. My girlfriend tried to use the hair dryer that definitely wasn’t PAT tested as it was useless and couldn’t dry anything. Our room door was right near the rear entrance/ exit and the other guests were talking and their farts could be heard due to the walls being that thin. You could hear people coming in the door and felt like they were coming in your room. The light from the landing was shining in our room all night. also, you could hear the people above us all night walking around, talking turning in bed. In the morning we went for the worst breakfast I’ve had in a hotel, things floating in our apple juice and the staff tried to play it off as not seeing what was in the glass until they did notice something and tried to blame to actual apple juice instead of their inability to actually clean glasses properly. The pancakes weren’t the best and were drowned in maple syrup, the milk for the coffee was off as their was lumps floating in it as well as the yogurt which did not taste right. In the morning the same staff member looked very miserable when I went to hand the room key in and I declined morning breakfast and he seemed to be offended by this. But did say goodbye. Overall the only bonus from this hotel was the free parking and beautiful Northumberland views. However, they did give us extra pillows when requested the only positive of the trip.
