The friendly people at Viseisei village is the best thing about this location. Viseisei was one of the first villages to be settled by Fijians and is a very historical place. You can walk to the village along the beach and mingle with the villagers and learn about their customs and traditions. Mountain hiking, river rafting, zip-lining, ATV rides, jet skiing, fishing and many more activities are all in the area.
A Fijian feast called 'Lovo' (food cooked in an underground oven) is a must while in Fiji. We can arrange a delicious private Lovo feast right at your villa and you get to help with all the preparations from marinating, weaving coconut baskets to hold the produce and building the fire for the hot stones. It's unforgettable great fun for the whole family!
There are local buses that run every 30 mins to Lautoka or Nadi. Taxis are available on short notice as well and are reasonably priced. Fijian hospitality is in our DNA. Don't get trapped in a small hotel room. Once you experience the real Fiji with us, you'll never want to stay in a hotel again.

Beautiful views and nice people

Security at the villa is very poor. Property is NOT fenced. One guy walking around with a torch. We were burgled/property stolen. Some guy entered the villa through the window in the toilet whilst we were asleep. Lucky no one was hurt. This incident spoilt our holiday. We reported the matter to police, stolen items not recovered.

It was only one night but the property is well-appointed and Ms. Va is great.

Really enjoyed our time staying here. The location of the house is so beautiful and the staff made us feel very welcomed and looked after. Two of the members of our group had disabilities and staff were very accommodating to their needs. We so loved our stay and will definitely be back in the future. Thank you for having us!

Amazing view; we all enjoyed sitting out on porch, looking over the pool and at the bay. Short walk to Sapphire Bay's beach but better beaches to stroll and explore.
Staff was wonderful; they kept our place swepted of the sand and tracked in dirt. They were very quick at reseting air conditioning when electricity went out and switched over to the generator. Our group was followed by our daughter's in-laws, staying the next week as we moved on to southern resort. Va, the manager, graciously put together a gift basket of fruit and goodies from us for our new family for them to enjoy during their stay. We must say, the transportation service contracted with Sapphire Bay Villas was outstanding. Raj and his son, Ravi Chand spent not just the 8 days while staying with us at SB, but continued on to show us the Coral Coast. Not only was Ravi knowledgible on Fijian life, agriculture, business and history but he was able to explain the hindu wedding of our daughter and her new husband as well as prep us for our patental responsibilities. We left Fiji feeling we had made new friends with Raj, Ravi, his wife and beautiful little girl. We will keep their contact should we return, we will surely request them to accompany us for new adventures and exploration.

Very nice time for our family.

Our stay was amazing and the villa was great for our group of 8 Adults and 4 children aged 6-12.
The driver Raj set the tone for the stay with his willingness to assist with all of our transfer needs for our 3 night stay. The staff at the villa could not do more for us and made the logistics a breeze from having 2 masseuses come to the villa and arranging a lovo for our last night staying. If looking to do the lovo, it might be a good idea to do it prior to your last night as we had so much food left that could be eaten the following days.
This accommodation was perfect for our needs and the location is around 20 mins from the airport and only 5 mins from the local marina which has a very nice place for lunch and dinner.
If there was one area that could be improved it was the limited outdoor furniture with only 1 sun bed by the pool for 12 guests. The villa is a little tired and visually there are areas that need repairing however, non of this impacted our stay.
Would recommend for families or groups that can all swim as the pool doesn’t have a fence for young babies. Would definitely stay again.

-very dirty
-ants and bugs in the toaster, oven, bathrooms, rice cooker
-old dirty utensils. We had to go and do entire kitchen pots pans forks spoons etc shopping to make possible for our stay there. Families were disgusted by the property.
-the infinity pool property bragging about is dangerous. Who makes a vacation home pool 8ft from start to end. Family couldn’t enjoy it as it was dirty and unsafe.
-the easy beach access was a lie. You have to walk 20 minutes thru bushes and who knows what kind of beach.
-I will never recommend anyone to this place. My families and my time and money were simply wasted. Hope VRBO looks into this and refunds some of our money. Bad marketing.

Driveway to villas - very bumpy & pot holes. Needs upgarding badly.
Cannot get to the beach from the villa as grass & trees overgrown so not a 5 minute walk to the beach.
Beautiful views overlooking the bay.
Staff very helpful and enjoyed their massages.
Fridge - wasn't working & freezer drawer broken - had to throw a lot of food away, especially fish. Had to buy a lot of ice to keep things cool.
For a villa sleeping 12 or more - gas cooker was slow, not enough large saucepans or frypan for cooking, no large bowls to prepare food.
Roof leaked in 2 bedrooms when rained.
Bathrooms x 3 - tiles in shower slippery - lady nearly broke her head falling down when getting out of shower. Our ensuite - water was coming into bathroom when rained.
Toilet papers - 1 ply with gold finger for a number 2. suggest they upgrade to 3 ply.
No air con in lounge - very hot. Air con in Villa 2 bedroom broke down on the last 2 days.
Raillings around the back patio, a lot were broken & loose. BBQ facility not working properly.

From the moment we walked into the property we in awe regarding the size of the lounge, dining and kitchen area and the pool and view outside. There were many 8 people in our party 5 adults and three teenagers and we split ourselves up into the 4 bedrooms which were all air conditioned and a welcome relief from the heat! Unpacked we headed for the pool which was a beautiful temperature and emmersed ourselves in the natural environment that was our outlook across Nadi Bay and out to Denarau Island. The property is solid and the furnishings were dated but everything worked for us. The lounge, dining and kitchen area wasn’t air conditioned but the bedrooms were fully air conditioned so you had a nice place to relax in of it got too humid - or we would just jump in the pool which had a perfect temperature.
There were no more insects about that you’d expect to see on a tropical island but we found that during January there were very few mosquitos. There were a few ants but nothing to be worried about.
As there were 8 of us at the property we took advantage of the driver allocated to us. He had an air conditioned van so it was perfect for our trips to Fiji Zipline, the Coral Coast (day trip), and Denarau Island. He was also very well connected into the tourism sector so was able to suggest very reasonably priced experiences that were really awesome. He also had access to metered taxi drivers who could take smaller groups to the supermarket or other places.
I would definitely book Sapphire Bay Villas again. It was away from the resorts on Denarau and the people were very down to earth and super helpful and friendly. It was also in a rural setting so gave you a sense of being in the real Fiji. Also the ability to be self-catered meant we could save money on eating out.
Overall a great holiday and I would recommend this property.

We really enjoyed this property. It was reasonable close to several interesting sites (if you have a car rental). The kids loved the pool and the air conditioning in the rooms was amazing after 9 days in the open air. We were very happy with this property, especially given we were here the last two days of our Fiji holiday. Great place to relax while waiting to head back to the States. The property manager was very friendly and helpful, and it was amazing that we were allowed a late check out, which allowed us to better align with our flight schedule. If we were to visit Fiji again I would chose this property again.

this was a great stay and everything was pretty much as described in the promotional material . it is close to amenities but it would pay to have rental car available to get around.

The Villa was spacious, clean and beautiful. We enjoyed swimming in the pool, hiking along the coast and using the patio to lounge on.
The only suggestion I would have for anyone traveling here would be to bring washcloths and something to plug the tub drain. I wanted to soak in the bath but could not keep water in it.
Those small details did not hinder our experience though! It was absolutely lovely! Thank you Va for making sure we were comfortable ♥️

I expect the owner will try to delete this. The advertisement is misleading. The photos are misleading. The place is tired, worn out, not maintained. It is dank, smells and “furnished” (barely) with worn out beds and lounges. It is not - as advertised - a walk to the beach, or occupied by the owners’ family. The Fijian employed staff did their best to present it, but in the end it was terrible. We left. The owner refused to properly refund.
Be very cautious.

My husband, myself & our 2.5 yr old met my parents here for a holiday- check in was easy and we were able to get in early - Va (who was absolutely wonderful!) was waiting for us to walk us through the beautiful villa. The view is amazing , the rooms are spacious- the house is great . Also the beds are super comfy too and the master bedrooms lock so if you have any valuables you can always lock the doors, we never had anyone around that wasn’t familiar and no one entered unless they knocked and asked - we felt safe and secure the whole 8 days. It’s a little old but it’s Fiji. The house had everything we needed - we used the bbq , cooked and did laundry . The rooms all have air conditioning which works great - the rest of the house doesn’t but all the windows open and there are large standing fans - your in Fiji embrace the heat and humidity. It was hot while we were there and we were never uncomfortable. Although the pool was quite cool - even towards the end of summer. Some pool blankets would do wonders for the pool temp. The pool is also quite deep - so my dad & husband had to swim with my toddler since I’m short (was a nice break for me though)
We had the Lovo feast (just a note it’s only for a minimum of 8 people- but we did it anyways and glad we did cause we had leftovers for days- didn’t have to shop or prepare lunch or dinner for days!) the feast was amazing from the wonderful Kava ceremony with the men which was such a great experience ( also was Covid safe) the guitar and singing and dancing was so much fun even my son joined in, we will never forget it! All while the women sang and laughed while preparing our incredible meal ( best one ever in Fiji!) Can’t thank Va and everyone else enough for everything! We hope to see you all again in the future!
There was never anything they woudnt do or help with . And thanks for the delicious coconuts in the mornings. This Villa and the people who look after it are worth it! I can’t wait to go back!

I’ll start with the pros of this property.
-Gorgeous view. 5 star scenery
-Your own private pool
-lovo dinner was amazing 5 star
Cons
Our biggest complaint was, the ONE day we had the employees come in to clean our villa, $600 was stolen out on my backpack. The villa manager has never gotten back to me about the stolen money. After the cash was stolen we didn’t feel safe in our own villa.
-The Villa is in the middle of no where! It is close to nothing! Not near a restaurant. Not near a grocery store. So if you don’t plan on the employees cooking for you every meal... good luck on finding groceries. Everything was closed when we flew in so it was hours before we could find something to eat.
- Air conditioners are only in your bedrooms. Which is great at night when you’re sleeping... But if you want to visit with your family or friends you’re cooking your brains out in the living room or the kitchen. They have two fans set up that do almost nothing. There is no air conditioning in the bathrooms either. So you have to hurry and go to the bathroom and get out fast before you sweat to death.
-we found tons of bugs. And I’m not oblivious that Fiji is a tropical climate and you’ll find lots of different insects… But we had cockroaches, ants, huge spiders, and tons of mosquitoes. You literally had to wear bug spray at all times. Maybe some screens on the doors might help the mosquito situation. Or some bug zapper’s on the back porch. But having to put mosquito spray on after you shower is ridiculous.
-The whole villa really needs some love. There was sheet rock coming down in one rooms over the fan in the ceiling… There were doors with holes in them… The walls need to be repainted… The pool needs a good cleaning… The barbecue needs some propane… The living room and kitchen need air-conditioning… The smaller rooms need a better closets.
If we ever come back to Fiji. We will be staying at a resort.

we were surprised to have to drive to rural part north of nadi after landing. cannot see the 3 villas from the road really and it was a long rutted dirt road to get to it. once inside it was nice and big with minimal cabinets and 2 rods for a closet. it was a very large layout. we enjoyed the large dining area and infinity pool a lot.
the kitchen has no dish washer. sometimes we run out of hot water to do dishes if someone takes a shower. ants will appear in droves and need to be sprayed. spiders come visit too.
but the ladies va, lai and sara and nathan were friendly and helpful. fresh papayas, coconut and sugar cane. they served us a lovo feast and serenade us while we ate delicious food from the luau. the chef cooked dinner the second nite was fine dining also. there are no close by restaurants or groceries. you need transportation.
when you drive into the hotel dominated area you are in just any another resort really. so even we were in a bare rural place we liked our experience.
another family moved in next door and the renter came over to tell us they found 2 intruders running through their unit at 3am and took some cash. we stayed for 4 nites and we did not have anything happen.

Our family enjoyed the spaciousness of the villa. The villa was clean and had the amenities that we needed. The patio was huge and accommodated all of us without feeling crowded. The pool was breathtaking with views of the ocean. We were provided plenty of towels for the whole family to use. There was 5 of us everyone had there own bedroom. There were 2 large master bedrooms with attached bathrooms with a soaking tub with a view of the ocean and 1 more bathroom for the other 2 rooms to share. The kitchen area was huge and offered everything to be able to cook or bake and eat your meals there. We had a problem with ants coming in and Mrs. Va and her team promptly took care of it. The whole staff was kind & efficient one of the housekeepers Sera provided us with information about places to go, she was really a nice & kind person. Mrs Va provided us with choices of areas to go eat, transportation & things to do. Thank you for a wonderful experience.Cynthia W. & Family

We had a great time at Sapphire Bay Resort, having booked all three villas for two nights to celebrate my son's 21st. The location is perfect and the view is breathtaking. The accommodation is spacious, clean and has everything you need. The staff were perfect and responded promptly to queries. Awesome place, relaxing and private.

The home is perfect for small or large families. The home is well appointed and if there is a need for anything, the housekeeping staff will get it for you. Mrs. Vi, the head housekeeper was lovely as were her assistants, especially Max who brought us fresh fruit. The bedrooms were all air-conditioned and comfortable with excellent open closet space for clothes, shoes, luggage. The great room is a combined area with living room, dining room and kitchen with a wonderful modern appliances and room for many at the dining table. The room is not air-conditioned but fans are available, and keep the room comfortable. The pool alone is worth the stay here: large enough for laps and/ or lounging. The pool was cleaned daily. This is a tropical area so get ready for bugs, mostly mosquitos and ants. The home was infested with ants which are driven inside by rain but they appear to have set up house . It was not pleasant having to use bug killer spray but both master bedrooms and bathrooms were teeming with ants. The area is kind of remote albeit off a main road but the private drive to the property is unpaved and was pretty treacherous when it rained (slippery) and otherwise full of ruts which gave us a bumpy ride. Paving or a gravel rode is needed. Our driver, Mr. Raj, was great but unless you drive yourself you are dependent on the driver to take you anywhere and everywhere. Each time a cost was involved and by the end, we spent a considerable amount of money on transportation. The towns of Lautoka and Nadi are nice modernized towns with grocery stores, shops, etc but the town of Port Denarau is super modern with hotels, a shopping mall, and best of all, the docks where the boat excursion companies are located. A trip to another island or any excursion is recommended. On the other hand, there are mud baths and hot springs, a botanical garden, a nature center, visiting a native Fijian village, all available by car. I do recommend the property for families or big parties but do realize that transportation is necessary to get to any other island attraction,,

The initial reaction from Everyone was WOW!!! Right from our collection by the Sapphire Bus at the Domestic Arrivals, every courtesy (and patience regarding all our whims!) was extended by the happy band of Fijian ladies and gentlemen who were on hand to make our holiday one of the Best. We were an initial party of 8 adults and enjoyed a Superb Fijian Feast on our first night, extremely delicious, ably cooked and well-presented, preceded by a Kava ceremony (a first for many of us) pool side. Dining was accompanied all the while by sweet acoustic music and to finish a song and dance to the delight of all. We had the freedom of an hire car and drove out locally to sample markets in Nadi and shopping generally. Lautoka was closer and a very pleasant town. One day we made it to Suva and enjoyed driving via the southern Coral Coast. The villa itself was clean and well-maintained and during our almost 2 week visit, the ladies came in to clean and provide towels when needed, Mrs Va and the owner were ably on call and there for any queries or reassurance. A mobile phone was provided for the villa which was a boon. The kitchen is very well kitted out and should be enjoyed by anyone who cooks. A large barbecue by the pool was also in use. We were all most comfortable in our various bedrooms, and in the general living area. Most of our time was spent under the covered verandah or lounging (asleep) on the pool chaise longues. The pool was used every day at all hours with its exquisite 180 degree panaoramic view over Nadi Bay, and all too soon our time in Fiji is but a magical memory. The friendliness, courtesy and respect with which Fijians treat visitors and each other makes it a wonderful country to visit - I shall return again and again. I would happily recommend the Villa to anyone - just a note to Taro - would it be possible to have a few board games, Scrabble, Backgammon and the like to help while away evenings or perhaps a small library of DVD's? We did buy some cards and had more than a few hilarious Gin Rummy sessions! My grateful Vinaka's to everyone concerned with the smooth running of the Villas - you do a fantastic job -- WELL DONE!!

We had a fabulous family holiday at the Sapphire. There was plenty of room for my family. The pool was well used and the other facilities were great. Sapphire had everything we needed. It is within walking distance of Anchorage and First Landing however I would particularly recommend the Marina for meals and chilling over a drink or two. The staff are lovely and it is a great place to watch the sun set.

Bula.....If you ever travel to Fiji this is your place. Perfect description of property..beautiful sunrise from the master bedroom and the patio. Picture perfect. Taro and his family were outstanding hosts. When we traveled to Beachcomber one day, he was waiting after a long fun but exhausting day to take us back in his vehicle so we did not have to walk back to our villa..a great surprise. The home has everything you need. We had a lovo feast and got to watch the digging of the ground, the lighting of stones with a fire, the preparation of food using banana leaves, the actual cooking and removal of food and the best part...a delicious feast with just the right Fijan style and hospitality and plenty of leftovers. There were 7 adults and our granddaughter..we enjoyed the pool immensely..transportation was arranged, we were provided a local phone, food was recommended...our only regret...we did not stay longer! Highly recommended for all ages! You are the best and we hope to come back again and stay even longer. Vanaka!

I would like to extend my thanks to Taro and Mrs Va and staff for making our 6night stay at Sapphire Bay Villas so enjoyable and made the end of our trip to Fiji so relaxing.
Arriving later than expected on our first night we were warmly greeted by a staff member who took us to the Villa and on approaching it the photos on the website do not do the villa justice as it is very large and spacious which is what I was looking to accommodate 10 adults. Two fruit baskets were waiting for us with a few beverages in the fridge which was really appreciated by all especially having traveled from Suva that day.
The main attraction though when we entered was the infinity pool which was used immediately and given the thumbs up by those who were eager for a night swim. Also the youngsters enjoyed having wifi available from anywhere in the house.
All the rooms were nice and big and master bedrooms were perfect with more than enough wardrobe space and en suite and having aircon in each of the bedrooms was ideal. The kitchen was so perfect for us as it had everything we needed to do our own cooking and we did make use of the outdoor BBQ as well.
The location was great for us as it wasn't far from Nadi, the aiport and Port Denarau. We managed to visit a few of the local restaurants like The Boatshed and First Landing and definitely recommend going to these places.
A few family members made use of the Beachcomber day trip and highly recommend doing this and this was kindly organised by Mrs Va. We spent most of our time relaxing by the pool, going for walks and visiting the local village or going shopping and wished our trip didn't have to come to an end.
Vinaka again to Taro and Mrs Va and staff and we would be recommending this property to all our friends and family and also will be visiting again.
Only suggestion would be to have ceiling fans in the main lounge room. We did have the top windows open but it did get a bit stuffy. But apart from that the property was clean and well maintained and once again Mrs Va was always on call if we had any questions and what a great idea to have a mobile phone provided of our needs.
As mentioned before, staying here made our holiday so much perfect and honestly no one wanted to leave.
Vinaka and until we return again

Myself and my husband and daughters aged 16 and 19 found the villa layout to work extremely well and is really spacious. It has a lovely kitchen and is well appointed. The flow from the main bedrooms through to walk in wardrobes and ensuite works really well and added a luxurious touch. The air conditioning units in every bedroom were appreciated for those balmy evenings. The shutters on the windows with mosquito netting meant we didn't have to worry about getting bitten. Taro the owner provided excellent customer service and we were given a cell phone to ring if we needed anything. You will need to provide all of your own groceries but the staff were happy to take us to the supermarket and butchers and market for a fee. The pool was amazing and the staff kept it immaculate each day. We hung at the villa most days and relaxed but had a nice meal at the Vuda point marina also did the sabeto mud bath at the foot of the sleeping giant which is well worth doing. The high ceiling in the living area did give an echo effect but believe this is going to be rectified. We would definitely recommend this luxurious villa as a family or group of friends and have made some close friendships with the people we have met there. Hope to be returning in the near future.
