I really liked all lovely reception staff. Maria was an incredible reception manager!! She looked after me, she showed me a great job positing, Maria was very inclusive and I told her about an incident which occurred and straight away she checked the camera and spoke with the other party involved within 24 hours! Maria needs a raise or a promotion!!!
I also like the warm blankets that the staff put on the beds, the nice chill hammock area, the pool table and how everyone put away their dishes bc the staff go out of their way to check the cameras and confront ppl for their laziness. Kitchen closed at 11:30pm which was great! There’s friendly wild cockatoos that would visit the hostel around 3-4pm and would fly onto your arm/shoulder wanting food. Don’t feed them bread like every other tourist does it’s rlly bad for them.
Paying $340 a week to stay in a hostel is ridiculously overpriced. And long term stays at the hostel have to pay $280 a week!!! The only oven in the hostel is in the staff room (no guests are welcome to use). The common area felt too small. I didn’t like a group of the long term stays that acted like they owned the hostel. The shared bathrooms were really gross. A room In the mixed dormitory next door to the bathroom on the bottom bunk closest to the bathrooms smelt really really bad. After sitting/lying there for 5-10 minutes you could smell the urinals. Also the mattresses were really uncomfortable to sleep on.

The hostel it’s very nice and cozy. You”ll feel like a guest house. Even if seems to be far than the rests of the hostels it’s still very close to the centre.
Sometimes could be a bit dirty. But it’s pretty normal in a hostel and specially during high season

Nice and cosy. Lots of spots to hang out. Not in the centre, but no more than 5 min walk to stores, beach etc.
No railing on top bunk and rooms were quite small. Okay if everyone is organized, annoying if people are a bit more messy.

Our private room was nice size and comfortable with a lovely view. The receptionist was super friendly and helpful!
whole place needs to be redecorated. the bathrooms with the the topless models on the walls were extremely odd and they always smelt bad and the toilet bowls were yellow. the kitchen was too small for the amount of people there.

Friendly people on the reception, nice small dorms, big bathrooms, cute "Bungalow-Style"

Staff were friendly and helpful. Only stayed one night so didn't get a chance to use the pool as spent the day out in airlie. Bed was comfy and rooms a good size with storage place for bags at the end of the beds. Close walk to the greyhound bus stop tho it is up a bit of a hill. 15 minute walk into town so easy access to everything and a quieter hostel for a good night's sleep.
Hostel is a bit dated, the communal chilling area is a little small however that encourages it to be more social.

The bottom bunks had curtains, and there are small lockable boxes for your valuables. They let me use the hostel for the entire day, after I had checked out in the morning. The staff were very helpful.

Very friendly staff and good location.
Very dirty and run down facilities. Bedding was brown (always best to have white bedding).

The best place to stay in Airlie Beach. Friendly and cosy, and on the most part very clean, it felt like home. The kitchen is well-equipped and there’s an extensive social space with a pool table. I spent my evenings playing board games and pool, while others watched movies outside together. It’s also very near the Greyhound stop.
The rooms are slightly cramped. Many of the people are living there long term so have formed friendships already, but they still come across very friendly and inclusive.

I didn’t stayed there since it’s very bad after seeing it directly but still they charged me..
Everything is very bad..

The place is nice and beautiful, you feel at ease there.
The bathrooms are the ugliest and the most sexist that I’ve ever seen. It’s almost funny cause it’s absurd that such a decoration still exists in 2023.

Large communal kitchen / dining space. Amusing images behind the showers.
Kitchen, bathrooms & pool could be cleaner.

Clean enough, bathrooms clean, plenty of kitchen space.
Lots of long-term stayers, wifi not working at all, would be better if it was a bit cheaper
