We had a wonderful stay. We had 24 people in our party. A few hiccups with A/c, but were quickly resolved.
Valerie was amazing setting things up before we arrived. Carlos was great about getting us anything we needed. And I cannot say enough about Chef Hairo. Not only was his food delicious but he is a delightful person.
We had an amazing time!

Absolutely wonderful stay at this in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica! Serene atmosphere with ocean view and an abundance of animal sights including sloths, monkeys and beautiful birds. Valerie, David the chefs, and all the tour guides on our outings were exceptional - attentive, friendly, and accommodating. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a relaxing and enjoyable getaway in Costa Rica!

Valerie, our concierge, arranged every detail from our unending questions pre-arrival to our activities that went flawlessly. David, our host, was always available for any needs. He was very knowledgeable, helpful, and extremely nice. Our chef, Junior, and his assistant, David, were phenomenal. Every day they went above and beyond to spoil us and meet our needs with professionalism, kindness and humor. Love you guys!
Housekeepers were amazing, and worked so hard with our group of 17! Finally, the villa was beautiful, comfortable, spotless, and very spacious. Vacation of a lifetime! Thank you all so very much!

We had a very large group and everyone had a great time.
Pros of this property - the chef (He was fantastic and the food was so good), maid services was great, separate bedrooms/bathrooms with privacy, view from the upper pool, proximity to the beach, concierge service was very good and responsive.
Cons - The lower larger pool is a little cold because it never receives any direct sunlight. We barely used it because the ocean is warmer. Parking was a little tricky for our numerous cars.. No sound system for a little music at either pool.
We would absolutely stay again as the overall experience was great.

We were a group of 18 friends getting together for the first time in a few years, and had an amazing time at Casa de las Brisas. The space was perfect for 18 adults -- plenty of space to spread out, as well as lots of great options for socializing (either of the larger pools, the large sitting area, and the rooftop decks were the favorites).
Chef Hairo and his assistant, as well as the bartender were really attentive and thoughtful. Food was excellent. They managed a pineapple allergy with one of our guests so that it was pretty much issue free. Lots of great seafood and fresh vegetables and fruits made every meal a treat. There was a lot of variety throughout the week, though we did return to a couple favorites (nightly ceviche, for example). Chef was really flexible with timelines (we at was early as 6 and as late as 9:30 for breakfast, and dinners were anywhere from 6:30 to 8 -- all without issue, and with great reviews from our friends).
Housekeeping was fantastic -- and given how much time we spent at the house, they must have been very efficient! We hardly saw them, though all three housekeepers were friendly and attentive.
The host Daniel was great and responsive -- we had one small issue which he resolved within an hour, and he was able to make a few last minute adjustments to our itinerary as we updated activities.
The location is ideal -- walkable to restaurants, bars, ATMs, pharmacy, and even the beach if you don't mind a bit of a steep climb back up! Lots of stairs, but honestly not an issue.
From the balconies and rooms we saw quite a bit of wildlife (macaws, howler monkeys, capuchin monkeys, an armadillo, frogs, numerous other birds and a toucan).
I would only make two suggestions for improvements -- the lighting design around the exterior is not great. It's overly bright upstairs near the outer pool or too dark, with few options to adjust lighting to accentuate the scenery without being overly bright or just in the dark. The largest pool and lower deck were too dark to really use at night, which is unfortunate because the setting is beautiful -- you just can't see any of it after about 6:30 pm. It doesn't need a lot, but some nicer lighting around the lower deck and pool would go a long way. Same thing with the rooftop deck which has just one overhead light.
The other suggestion I'd make would be a little more pool attention -- maybe daily instead of occasional cleanings.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Casa de las Brisas. Our large extended family had plenty of space with the rooms spread throughout the villa offering privacy to all. The flora and fauna were spectacular. Our trip was especially pleasant by having a great chef and sous chef who planned our meals paying attention to individual needs and making the birthday dinner particularly festive. Thank you

The house was amazing! The monkeys, soothes, flora was just so beautiful! Chef Choko was the highlight and just so personal and his food was great!! Valerie was so helpful with our family excursions and overall very responsive and insightful! We were there for my Dads 80th Bday and he loved it!! There was 26 of us under 1 roof but the property is so spread out everyone felt like they had their own space! Great location and property for event! We hope you enjoy it as much as we did!

This house was able to accommodate our large group of 19 individuals and our group certainly enjoyed all of the amenities that are available at this house: pools, foosball, billiards, and space to spread out. What really puts this house at the top of our list is the people that helped to make the experience so seamless: Valerie, David, Chef Jorge, Sous Chef Jeremy, Meal Hostess Kimberly, and all of the cleaning crew. This was our first vacation where we did not have to engage in cooking our meals and cleaning up and it was such an amazing benefit. Chef Jorge and Sous Chef Jeremy were thoughtful and accommodating...Kimberly helped us with coming up with menu ideas....they did not waste any food (always put the leftovers to good use). A great team. Valerie the concierge answered ALL of my questions with patience and enthusiasm. And the cleaning crew....friendly, accommodating, thorough, and creative....top notch. We had a very pleasant stay. The only critique that I would have of this property, and this comes along with renting during the rainy season, a few updates to the property would be helpful (plaster repair to eliminate leaks in room, tile repair on the roof, and a general airing out of the rooms during the dry season. That is all minor though compared to the excellent experience that we had. Thank you Costa Rica and ticos for making our experience exceptional!

We rented this amazing home for 7 families to celebrate a milestone birthday so we had a range of ages and interests; this was the perfect house for us and we can't wait to come back. With the high ceilings and multiple levels, it really meant each family could have their own space -- none of us felt on top of each other yet when we wanted to, the house provided great gathering areas for everyone to hang out. Hands down the best feature of this house was the chef/cooking help as having two delicious meals prepared for our group and cleaning after allowed us to more fully enjoy each other and the space. The views are also incredible with wildlife viewings (toucans, monkeys, sloths) from each balcony and location is walking distance to local stores like grocery, pharmacy, bank and coffee. Our only (minor) complaint was that the pool water was colder than we would have liked, even with the hot weather. We ended up not using the pools as much as we thought we would because of the cooler water temperatures. That said, we would 100% rent here again.

The home is absolutely amazing! So many comforts and amenities to keep our large group of teens and adults entertained at all times. There are a ton of stairs (!) and the rooms are very spread out over numerous floors separated by stairs. Excellent for privacy but challenging for keeping an eye on the kids.
I had to give this listing 3-Stars because the services did not meet out group’s expectations. The food was excellent the first night, but $32pp. We asked the chef to please plan meals within a $15pp grocery budget for the rest of our stay. Apparently, he was offended and after that, the food and the service reflected his frustration. For the record, the moms on our trip are all excellent cooks so our families expectations are high. Nonetheless, our group viewed the chef service an over-priced hassle.
This brings me to the frustration we felt with having to calculate and pull out cash every night! I would much rather have had a set payment amount that could be paid either up front or at the end of the trip. I felt like it was literally a job for me to gather money from my friends and family over and over again for every meal and every excursion. There has to be a better way to do it! Anyways, to sum it up, I learned a lot about how and how not to travel in Costa Rica.
Make sure you ask LOTS of questions and expect to have a lot of work organizing each day as the assistance you receive is very limited.

The house was beautiful and the location is great as you can walk to restaurants and shops (although a little up hill). There were also lots of activities and excursions from this location. Valerie was amazing helping us get everything planned and organized for our arrival, she was quick to respond and detail oriented! Once there the on-site manager was also easily available and helpful. The cleaning service was on point and the chef made it easy to feed our 23 people! We monkeys and an iguana visit the house regularly and could see various birds from the house at well, we actually saw more wildlife at or near the house than even in the park (sloth right down the street!)

Blended family trip of 25 people ranging from 4 year olds to 65. The property was beautiful and large enough to fit everyone comfortably. Gary the property. manager answered all of our questions and was attentive to our every need. We made several trips to and from quepos and Manuel Antonio with our large group and he was there to help every step of the way.
The star of the show and what made this trip so easy and unforgettable was our Chef Jorge. With so many mouths to feed he went above and beyond to make the menu perfect for everyone. I myself have been a caterer for many years and we have a large group of foodies in our family so food and vacation go hand in hand. Jorge was able to provide us with a unique Costa Rican food experience. Every meal was over the top amazing. Even our picky eaters of kids loved the food. Especially his Banana Pancakes. I loved watching him work around the kitchen clearly doing what he loves and making his clients happy. He treats his clients like family and I believe he will continue to impress everyone he serves. When considering renting this property please request him as your Chef . You will not regret it. After spending long days outside exploring Costa Rica there is nothing better than coming back home to a home cooked meal made custom just for us. We all really appreciated that part of this adventure.
The cleaning staff was incredible and made keeping up with cleaning and laundry so easy with a group this size and messy little kids. I wish I could have taken them home with me.
The location of this property is perfect. In between Quepos and Manuel Antonio , quiet and private. We were able to see so much wildlife without ever leaving the house. Monkeys of all kinds and a Sloth as well as lizards and Tucans.
Overall we had a very great stay and miss it already. If considering this property DO IT > You won't regret it

We had a wonderful time. We stayed with my parents and my wife’s parents and 6 kids 2 - 7. The property is beautiful and is as pictured. We really wanted to see wildlife on our stay and were lucky to see multiple monkey troops (white face capuchin, holler, and squirrel), toucans, iguanas, and macaws from the house. The animals got really close, one of the white face capuchin monkeys even raided the kitchen and took off with one of our mangos.
The pools are beautiful and clean. We had a great time spending hours each day with the family, appreciating the water works. All three pools are great for kids. The largest pool is shallow, to our relief with so many young kids.
The property is spacious and well laid out to give everyone privacy.
Gary, our concierge was responsive and set up excursions for us with no advanced notice.
Chef Marco did a terrific job taking care of our family. He did an excellent job preparing for multiple dietary needs. The chef experience was one of our favorite parts of the trip. We tried a different dish and dessert every night, happy with everything we tried. Chef Marco and his sister took away many of the stresses typical at meal times (prep work, cleaning, and planning).
The cleaning staff was also amazing. They cleaned our laundry, dishes, and deep cleaned the property daily.

It was a divine experience! The place is just beautiful and the communication from the concierge, Valerie and Gary, was wonderful!
The only complaint is that we had no WiFi all week. :(

We loved staying at this beautiful and eclectic home with sweeping views of the ocean. It was fantastic and so special. Highly recommend. Shout out to Valerie and Gary for ensuring we were comfortable at all times!

We had an amazing time staying at this house, the property was gorgeous and well managed. Gary and the cleaning maids were wonderful and extremely helpful throughout our stay, we can't thank them enough.

We booked this home for a work trip with 14 total adults. It had plenty of space to accommodate all of us. The rooms were amazing. Comfortable beds. A/C in each bedroom. The common areas were great. The chef was the best part about all of it though. We had restaurant quality food all week! I would recommend this rental property to anyone.

This home is so beautiful. Our family of 23 stayed here for 8 days. It was the perfect accommodation for all of us. Although there were so many of us it never felt over crowded. We could hang out together and swim or play pool but we could also get away and have privacy. Gary and Valerie were so helpful setting up our adventures and getting up to 23 at a time from point A to point B. The home is within walking distance to many restaurants, shops, and bars. It is a 10 minute taxi drive to Manuel Antonio beach. We looked forward each morning to breakfast and each evening dinner prepared by Chef Esteban. He is fabulous! The title for this property is Ultimate Reunion Villa. It really is that. The only thing I would caution somebody about is that there are ALOT of stairs. We knew that going in but unfortunately my sister broker her foot a month before we arrived and was still wearing a boot. She couldn't really get around other than on the main floor. We helped her get down to the pool and game room a few times but it was difficult. If you have any mobility issues, this would not be the home for you. We loved it though and highly recommend this home for anyone looking for a place to accommodate many people with views that you will never get tired of looking at.

Our stay at Casa de las Brisas exceeded our expectations, and was quite simply perfect! Our group included 8 adults, 8 children, and one infant. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel welcome and comfortable. Most of our group arrived around 8pm after a long day of travel, and the chefs, Jeremiah and Marcos had an amazing dinner of fresh swordfish ready for us when we walked in the door. Gary, the concierge, gave us the tour and showed us a few things about the house. He picked up groceries, set up tours, arranged cabs and buses, and was available via the house phone whenever we needed him. Marta and her team of housekeepers kept the house immaculate for our entire stay. With kids ranging in age from 3 months to 15 years old, that is no easy feat. Every meal Jeremiah and Marcos prepared was delicious and perfectly presented. The home itself is beautifully appointed with spectacular views from every room. The roof deck overlooking the jungle and ocean was the adults' favorite spot, and the large pool in the back and the lower level game room was the kids' favorite. From the house we saw toucans, monkeys, iguanas, and more. This home is truly paradise, and we are grateful for our stay. We look forward to going back!Pura Vida!

Casa de las Brisas in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica was the prefect space and location for our yoga retreat (SJYogaretreats.com). We had no idea what to expect booking through VRBO except that the reviews were outstanding. The house and staff exceeded any expectations we had. Daily breakfast and dinner cooked by our enthusiastic chefs (Marco and Jeremias) were the perfect blend of local fair from mahi mahi to ceviche, beans and rice, roasted veggies, colorful fruits, chips and guacamole (yummm!). Martha and Kimberly (the house keeping staff) worked diligently throughout the day to keep the house in pristine condition and even made time to dance with us!. Gary, our concierge, was always available to arrange tours, answer questions, or deal with any household issues that needed attention. The common areas of the house, including the kitchen, large pool and upper deck, were the perfect places for a group of 14 to congregate. As a yoga retreat, we were nervous that the upper deck would not fit 14 yoga mats. Not only did we all fit, we were immersed in nature with visiting monkeys and lizards throughout classes. Never a dull moment and what a great way to practice mindfulness in nature! The upper deck never had too much much sun for our morning and evening classes or issues with bugs. The rooms were well appointed and meticulously clean. Our guests particularly loved the outdoor showers (in 3 of the rooms) and the air-conditioning was great for sleeping. The location of the house was also perfect. Walking distance to our favorite coffee and breakfast shops (Milagro and Emilio's Cafe). Or a quick bite and smoothie at Aqua Azul -over looking the pacific. Playa Espadilla was within walking distance albeit down a steep hill, but there was a regular bus or an easy car ride with parking (be prepared to pay for parking at the beach closest to Manuel Antonio National Park). Mary's Rentals on Playa Espadilla Beach offers surf lessons and rents surf and boogie boards. The instructors are incredibly patient! Even we got up on the boards by the end of the lesson! We rented a sail boat through Trimaran Sunset Sails Tour. Our guide Minor and his crew were incredible. We toured the coast of Manuel Antonio and saw stingrays, snorkeled with colorful fish and enjoyed lunch and drinks aboard. Two companies we highly recommend are Paddle 9 for stand-up paddle boarding adventures and waterfall tours and Quepos Canyoning for rappelling. We hope to be back next year.

We attended a yoga retreat here at Casa de las Brisas. The villa is situated on several levels, each level with its own pool. The largest pool was on the lowest level and was totally surrounded by trees and monkeys! My room was clean and well kept, and included an outdoor shower. The view from my room was the large pool and surrounding greenery. The ocean view was visible from the kitchen level and the top level where we enjoyed our yoga classes. The kitchen was large, with a sitting area away from the dining table. The food was delicious. The staff was friendly and courteous, and always willing to help. The grounds were very well kept. I was not the organizer of the retreat, but I do know that they were always able to reach the owner if need be. The villa is in walking distance to a spa and restaurants, and just a short ride to the town and beach. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Casa de las Brisas. Footnote: There are many stairs at this property, so it would not be good for those with mobility issues.
