Very beautiful riad. Great customer service. Amazing rooftop. Great location. A different breakfast every day. Recommend a lot for couples.

A beautiful riad, beautifully maintained. Service was excellent.
Our room wasn’t as nice as others, but it was among the less expensive in the riad. We had the opportunity to change to a beautiful suite, and we declined…so that is on us.

Wonderful food, friendly and accommodating staff. They went out of their way to make guests feel welcome and comfortable. Riad Alya is beautiful.

The raid was impeccably executed and situated in an excellent location. The staff members were exceptionally friendly, and I thoroughly relished my time during the raid. My only recommendation pertains to the room's lighting, which was somewhat dim. It would greatly enhance the experience if there were at least one radiant lamp illuminating the space.
Nevertheless, I express my gratitude for the exceptional hosting provided.
the room was too dark

This was an authentic Riad in a very manageable part of the Medina. so much so that by the second day I started to be able to find my way around fairly comfortably. We visited (for meals and massage) a few of the most expensive and highly rated riads in Fez, and each time came away feeling like Riad Alya was a more authentic experience. The Casablanca Suite was very large and although the bed was extremely firm, all three nights culminated in restful sleep. The view from the terrace is wonderful and each breakfast was made special because of our location. The breakfast was the same each morning with attentive service and more than adequate selection for the morning meal.
Our dinner the first night was set on the spectacular balcony. If I’m being honest, the Pastilla was burned and dry and the Tagine was also overdone with limited flavor. However, climbing the stairs to a meal under the stars on night one, while we got our bearings, was just fine. The price was reasonable.
This riad certainly has it’s small issues. It gets heavy use, and there are signs of age. However, in many respects those same issues are what made Riad Alya seem more authentic than its more generic competitors

Beautiful and calm riad, lovely and attentive staff, wonderful and spatious suite!

Stunning riad with the most beautiful rooftop where you can just relax in the sun, enjoy the view, or have breakfast! The staff is super friendly and always ready to help to make sure you have a perfect stay :) their spa is also super relaxing. We had dinner here twice and it was delicious!! Our room was very spacious and soo beautiful and spotlessly clean! If you arrive by car, you can park in a parking spot about 3 min walking distance away from the riad and someone will pick you up (this worked out perfectly so we didn't get lost). I highly recommend this place which offers a very calm atmosphere and allows you to escape the noise of the medina.
Nothing at all , thank you so much for this pleasant stay ! :)

Breakfast outrstanding - much better than anything we have had in Morocco before. Sfaff lovely - attentive and very friendly without being too much. Beds a little hard for our old bones :) Dinner on the first night was truly wonderful; whomever cooks for the Riad is amazing - and the flavours were just wonderful - especially the salads! Overall I cant recommend it enough

Lovely breakfast, varied each day. Tasty, local specialities for dinner, reasonably priced. But even better... the brilliant staff - all the team were absolutely excellent and really took care of us.
Beds were a little firm for our liking, but that is a matter of taste.

Breakfast was amazing, a different Moroccan speciality every day. The room was unusual as the bathroom was on the floor above accessed by a little stairway in the corner of the room- cute ! The staff - Lahcen, Chaimae, Mouad and Houssine, were exceptional, going out of their way to make sure we were well looked after. We also took a guided tour of the medina through the Riad which was essential as the Fes medina is so huge- he was called Azedine and was very knowledgable ( and didn’t insist we went to any shops !). Wonderful Riad in a great location.
The pillows were very plentiful but quite hard ! Small thing which didn’t detract from a great stay.

Everything ! kind and profesional staff!

absolutely beautiful. spacious comfortable room. great bed and shower. very friendly helpful staff. perfect location. grand view from the rooftop terrace.
internet is spotty. they need to install more routers. one on the terrace and in a building like this you almost need a router in each room.

Delicious breakfast all home cooked and we had a lovely dinner meal at the restaurant, must do this whilst you stay. Well located with short walk to all the sights. Quiet at night - had the best sleep here during our trip to Morocco. Hotel arranged all facilities; tour guide, taxi, laundry, boarding pass printing etc. Anything we asked was no issue! Super friendly staff with great English. Wonderful stay.
Slow WiFi in the room.

The staff were very friendly and room was really clean and calm. We did massage here and it really worth the money!

Great ryad! the decor is beautiful and the breakfast delicious. We did the hammam as well and, although not super hot (of which the hotel staff had diligently informed us beforehand), it was very relaxing and cozy.

Its almost luxurious with an en suite bathroom in the second floor. And a heating! Even for the towels. The Riad is run like a hotel. Breakfast (included) and dinner (on demand) is delicious.
The bed was uncomfy (and I can sleep almost anywhere). Its noisy too, but I always use earplugs, which I recommend using in a riad in the medina anywhere in Morocco. 🙉

We stayed 2 nights on Meknes suite and 1 night on ground floor smaller room. The suite was amazing plenty of spaces in the room but, ground floor bedroom was very dark and feel claustrophobic. The roof terrace provides amazing view over the city. Hotel staffs were very helpful and friendly. The central courtyard has lovely traditional decoration. We booked a guide through hotel who has knowledge about the medina but you need to be firm if not interested in shopping opportunity as he would insists on taking us to buy stuffs from his connections. We had food one night which was ok, the best meal we had was at the "Ruin Garden"

It is a beautiful Riad. We were treated really well by the staff and our stay has been relaxing and wonderful.
Nothing to dislike only that the size of the room could be bigger.

From before our arrival to our check out, it was an absolutely memorable experience for all the right reasons !
Lahcen was extremely helpful in answering all my questions before we got to Fes. Husin and the other guy ( don't remember his name, sorry ) were always so friendly and attentive to our needs. Fatima the cook, u must taste her cooking! Easily the best meals we have ever had during our 10 day stay around Morocco.
Room is comfortable and spacious, 5 stars !.The terrace view from Riad Alya, well u gotta see it to believe it.
Honestly we can't stop gushing about our stay in Riad Alya..thank you so much for making our stay in Fes so memorable.
Oh yea, if anyone needs a guide to navigate the Fes Medina, pls ask Lahcen. The guide he got us was something like a walking encyclopaedia of the history of the medina.

Nothing!

Beautiful place, exceptional staff and amazing food. It was difficult for us to decide to eat outside of the ryad because the food was so good and the staff so nice. We felt like part of a family there. Even though the location was very close to the central medina, the place is quiet
so we slept well. The guide (Sabah) for the visit of the Medina was very nice and the driver (Haj) was really good too. In every detail, the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. A fabulous stay overall and we would stay there again!
The only little low was the hammam and the massage. Even though I booked the hammam the day before, it was not hot at the time of my appointment and the lady just let the water run very hot to create some steam there. The massage was not very high quality but just ok.

Of all our riads in Morocco, this was the BEST one!
There are sooo many positives about this riad. The team ( Fatima here!) and others organised our multiple day dessert tour.
Their food was the most delicious! The dinner was fantastic and all home made. We've eaten at soo many places before but the flavours and freshness of the ingredients of all the meals here are unbeatable.
Breakfast is also such a fantastic spread and they change up the menu a bit so you can taste local specialities.
Now to our room..that was amazing as well. It was quiet even though it faced the centre square looking into the riad. The room was tastefully decorated and we also got water! (Not had that before in our rooms!)
We didn't try the hamman on site but it looked good and you can book it.
All in all, they make you feel at home & really do their best to accommodate you. Highly recommend it!
That I couldn't book more nights at the riad as it was fully booked :( but honestly, no negatives!
