The location was great! The room looked as the pictures. The complimentary free breakfast and the breakfast staff was nice. I appreciated the fan in the room!
NO WIFI! They claim to have wifi! It would connect for about 30 seconds and disappear. When I asked the gentleman at the Reception Desk he told me it must be my device. He didn't care! I have no issues with wifi on my new iPad or iPhone. It was not my device. He also said that he has no other complaints about the wifi from other guests. Two other employees in the building told me the wifi was almost not existent. I was unable to do any bit of work that I needed to do.
The room could use a deep cleaning. The fan provided was covered with dust. I would not have been able to stay in the hot room without the fan provided. The bathroom had a bar of soap that was about an inch long and 1/4 inch thick! They have a split property. There is Balmoral House on one side of the street and Balmoral House Hotel on the other.

Location and price. The receptionist was very polite, friendly and helpful. Perfect for just coming back to shower and sleep for a night or two.
Small room, narrow stairs without lift, low shower pressure, but these are all very common for hotels like this in London.

L’emplacement était parfait :)
Le petit déjeuner. J’aime le breakfast anglais, en revanche j’ai connu mieux dans le même genre d’établissement.

God beliggenhed og små, men okay hyggelige værelser.

Location. The hotel was close to Paddington Station.
Breakfast. Our stay came with hot breakfast, which was great. Simple English breakfast and toast, and if you want to have cereal, they also have it. They also have a fruit basket for those who want to take fruits.
The staff was really nice.
The hotel has 2 parts, Balmoral Hotel and Balmoral House Hotel. The check in is at the former, whereas we booked for a room at the latter, which was across the road.
There is no lift and no rooms on the ground floor (that we know of), and you are in trouble if you have heavy and large bags and need to access them during the stay. Fortunately for us, we didn't need to access our large bags and we just left them at the check in area. However, we knew there were only stairs, but did not know they had no rooms on the ground floor.
The room we stayed in had no air-conditioning. Luckily it was in the Autumn, so we just kept the windows open. THey had a tiny fan to keep 1 person cool. I would avoid this hotel during the late spring, summer, and early autumn when the temperature is warm to hot.
The toilet in our room was small, like really small... it felt smaller than the lavatory in the plane. But they had a common bathroom close to our room, so we just used that when there was a queue for the toilet.

nothing.
Our room was on the top floor (5th). It was the hottest time in London and the staff locked the public bathroom on this floor. All the hot air gathered on this floor and no air flow. When we asked the staff to open the bathroom door to allow some airflow we was rejected. There was no lift with this hotel and we had to carry our luggage up by ourselves. We are senior and it was very harsh to carry heavy stuff to clime 5 floors. The staff was cold heart. Also the public bathroom on the 3rd floor had no shower head and they did not bother to fix it.

Hotel was very clean and well decorated. Staff were effective and polite. Room was very quiet. Cooked breakfast of bacon, eggs and baked beans, cooked to order, was very nice and exceeded my expectations for a hotel in this price bracket. I would definitely stay again.

Location and cleanliness
smelled a bit and was noisy
9.0
location, cleanliness, breakfast, staff
it would be handy to have a mirror on wall beside hairdryer- mirror in bathroom too far away! Also rubbish outside bins.

It was perfect for our one night in London. So close to the Paddington train station. The breakfast in the morning was great! Staff is super friendly. The room is small but that's typical for budget travelling in London.

Very central location.
Helpful, friendly staff
Rooms a little on the small side.
A lot of stairs to climb. Did not affect us but would impact on anyone with mobility issues.

Friendly welcoming staff and good location for central London just outside Congestion Zone. Breakfast was good.
Parking availability was one of the reasons we booked but we didn't realise until check in that this would cost £30 per day in addition to the room fee. This was in the booking information but not well advertised. We also got a twin room when we would have preferred a double but again the booking did say twin/double room - it is an idea to specify on booking. On Sunday morning breakfast was only available till 8.30 which we thought was a bit early when check out was not until 11.00.

great location and close to Paddington station
My friend struggled with the 75 stairs to our room .

The room was adequate, beds comfortable and area quiet. We were able to park right outside and stay for the duration.
Area close to central London and Uber’s were quick.
We didn’t realise there were 2 buildings to the hotel and we ended up staying on the other side of the road to reception.
The bathroom was really tiny but did the job!
The cooked breakfast was just egg, bacon, beans one day and just egg, bacon another. Not many other options- (croissant, 3 cereals and old fruit).

we liked the location
to wait for a breakfast in a line for 20 or more minutes In a very tiny hallway, because they only serve from 7-8:30 am, the breakfast “lady” ask me to leave my table because I only drink coffee and others are waiting for my table! the next day as I came at 8:45 because nothing was available before she told me the breakfast is done and we are too late. so the next few days we rather avoid the morning stress and ate outside in the city. the hotel rooms are little, yellow spots on the bed blankets, no AC, your luggage needs to be under the bed so you are able to walk ,
for us it was a very bad experience and we paid for it!

Great location and great staff, including kitchen staff. Paddington station was VERY close and made getting around the city easy. 100% recommend. Will definitely rebook again.
Bathrooms were a little too compacted BUT it was great regardless.

Easy walking distance to Hyde Park for Queens funeral procession. Parking right outside the hotel.(£25 per day) Good breakfast served up quickly. Comfortable bedroom.
Had to walk up 3 flights of stairs. A little noisy with the window open at night.
