Friendly staff, breakfast and food
No hairdryer in room plus very noisy until bar closes
4.0
very good full English breakfast. The place is well positioned for the walks, for parking place and for the Harbour sea view. suggested if you like a quiet place
3.5
Very convenient location. Staff were friendly and helpful. Some parts of the hotel, particularly the ensuite bathroom, looked a little tired, but the bed was comfortable and our room had a good view over the bay.
There was some noise from a snooker room beneath our room which did go on quite late some nights. Also it's a shame that breakfast service does not officially start until 8.30am, but helpful staff allowed us to start a little earlier or we might have missed our 9.30am appointments.

Bright, clean well looked after

Before I doing this review I wrote telling them what I was going to say and asked for comment &/or compensation-no reply. Very friendly staff and good meals
OUR ROOM SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN LET OUT. It was dirty and the razor light broken. Tea and coffee facility was just a couple of odd cups. Any person of a certain size would have trouble using the toilet as was basin is so close

clean, fresh and lovely staff food was amazing - lovely breakfast and evening meal
nothing… but there is a few things that could be done to improve… there’s plastering needed in the bathroom where it looks like there used to be a towel rail and there was no shampoo in the bathroom

James, the owner, is fantastic nothing was too much trouble it’s just a great place to stay and central to everything. Fabulous staff, relaxed atmosphere and the food is all freshly cooked and served hot and delicious. Superb value for money all round, we wouldn’t stay anywhere else.
No dogs allowed currently but hopefully that may change in the future 🙏

For the price of this room it is excellent value. The rooms were very clean, all the accessories, the staff were excellent, the breakfast was very good. I don’t really have a bad thing to say. How they manage to charge so little is beyond me.
Nothing, keep it up everybody!
3.0
Clean although they didn’t do rooms unless you asked .
Air source pump outside a bit noisy but couldn’t be helped . Tables always sticky at breakfast . Poor selection for breakfast although they did a vegan breakfast fair play .

Absolute value for money. Great local accommodation including breakfast.
Restaurant and bar downstairs with friendly staff.
Need to change the pillows

Nice hotel with friendly staff. Room was small but adequate for 2 adults. Lovely shower and super king-size bed. We enjoyed walking along the harbour after a delicious meal.
A pot of tea with breakfast would be nice.

The staff were very good and friendly.
Very rundown and you have to go outside the pub to go in the B&B. Very cold and noisy with pool room under our bedroom.
4.0
Good sized room, fantastic view, comfortable chairs, good breakfast. We were worried it would be noisy being above the pub but it was actually quite quiet.
The bed was a bit hard. You wouldn't want to lie in in the morning for too long. The toilet paper was very cheap and thin.

Breakfast very good. Staff pleasant.
Had a room over the bar. Loud music until 12.15am, didn't sleep until 1am. Spoke to manager about it, wasn't particularly concerned. No apology at all. Stayed for work purposes, had busy day next day, really tired. If you stay here be sure to request that you don't stay in that room. Text the management next day to state how annoyed I was, no reply. Says it all...

The location is perfect, and the staff are always very helpful and will go the extra mile to make sure we are looked after. We would recommend the Rose and Crown to anyone looking to stay in North Pembrokeshire.
The entrance stairwell to the room could be better but we understand that the owners have recently taken over the neighbouring building and they are working to improve things.

Very nice atsmophere, great hosts and amazing food. Great location, very clean and a great pint. Wish I had a longer work trip!
Nothing at fault. Breakfast could be served a little earlier if there was anything to pick up on.

Brilliant price. Really convenient for the Ferrry. The room was warm, spotless and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. Wonderful breakfast included in the price. The shower was terrific. Bar and restaurant on the premises.
Not really a complaint, because I can live without it, but there was no connection to the internet from my room, tho there was at the bar.

We were happy with it as it was warm, clean and comfortable for the price 💞

Food was good.
Delphi was very pleasant and helpful
Stock in room. No spare toilet paper. Had to ask for some. Shampoo and shower gel were tiny and only enough for one shower. Two of these supplied for two people for two nights. Not enough for a two night stay. Only tea or coffee at breakfast. Juice would be a good option if you dont drink hot drinks.

Room was clean. Staff welcomed us warmly
Room above noisy bar. Opened window as room hot but got smoke from people smoking outside bar in window.
Bedside lights in room did not work. Every fire door in building was propped open by either door stops or cardboard wedged under them.
Ordered vegetable curry for evening meal but it arrived with small pieces of meat in it.
On arrival told breakfast not available until 8:30 in morning but unfortunately we had to be someway by 9.

The room was a little bit small with all our baggage

The staff were happy & friendly and always were quick to respond to requests.
The room was clean and tidy on our arrival but wasn't cleaned or visited during our stay and therefore they would have noticed a shortage of tea bags as only two supplied at the time of our arrival and we were staying for three nights. Door knobs missing off the shower door, and adjustment cord missing off the venetian blind. The wall mounted TV should have been higher on the wall to make it easier to negotiate whilst having to squeeze past at the end of the bed. Breakfast isn't served until 0830hrs, which seems to be for the staff's convenience and not necessarily for the guests!

De ligging ten opzichte van de boot terminal fishguard - rosslare echt om de hoek.
Het constante geluid van de afzuiging van de keuken

4.0
Breakfast comprehensive and very tasty.
Bed comfortable
Shower excellent, both a rain shower and hand held to rinse well
Room seemed very warm even though window was open.
Right on the street, no parking to offload directly into hotel, had to park on yellow line.
Paying Car park nearby

Staff were very friendly. Room 1 was huge for a solo traveller. Breakfast was served until check out time at 11 am, and it was lovely, which was great. It is less than a minute's drive to the ferry check-in, and there is aTesco about 3 minute's walk. Good value overall.
There is a pay and display public car park adjoining the hotel where I parked. I didn't see any free parking for guests, though I may be wrong. I was staying for one night so I paid for parking for the rest of the evening I arrived but by the time I got to my car the next morning at about 11.30, I had been given a parking ticket. So, be warned. The parking wardens are very quick off the mark, so make sure you get out early in the morning, unlike me, to pay for parking. In fairness, the lady who checked me in told me that she had gotten a ticket herself a few days previously so I cant say I wasn't warned.
Also, the hotel is not in the main town of Fishguard (about 30 minute's walk, partly uphill away) where most of the bars etc are. I didnt mind the walk myself, and the bar staff in the 2 pubs I visited were lovely and chatty, indeed I got a lift back to my hotel from two of the fab barstaff in the Royal Oak when there was no taxi, but if you want to be near most of the pubs etc, you might prefer to stay in yhe main town.
4.5
It was close to the port and also had dinner available in the bar attached
It said there was parking but didn’t mention it was paid parking behind the hotel

Everything was great here.
Met expectations easily.
4.0
Accessibility from ferry port.
Spotless very new furnishings.
Steps up to accommodation very narrow. Street lighting round property poor.
