The hotel has several kids facilities including kid playground, but with additional charge. The onsen is ok with both outdoor and indoor.
The hotel is over a 100 years and our room were in the old part of the building so it is a bit old.
We were ask to park a little far.
The staff are not very helpful as we requesting receipt but they just say they can’t issue it.
The hotel try to charge us extra for our kid (2 years old) which we already mentioned during booking where the total cost paid should already include.

Only the onsen is within expectations. All other facilities were not worth the price.
The room, and public areas were old, rundown and unpleasant. The place smells unclean and dusty areas can be seen. The tap in tap room were old double knobs type and difficult to control water temperature. The buffet dinner was a disappointment.

The open-air onsen was really good, great views. Also, the hotel staff, with 1 gentleman in particular, was very helpful with helping us book a taxi to a slightly remote location the next day. The view from our room, on the basement level, was great. It overlooked the river/waterfall.
The room is dated and our room (a 'deluxe' double room), was very small and smelled a bit. The bed felt too springy too. Since our room was small, a nice communal lounge would have been nice. The hotel itself is very big and full of families with kids, which seems to be the hotel's only target market based on their communal facilities.

Nice big tatami room, good onsen, great location for those who want to get into nature, tasty dinner.
Overcrowded and overpriced. We waited 20 minutes for a so-so breakfast buffet. The only dinner time slots available at our 3:45 check in were 7:30/8:00, our baby’s bedtime. We’ll go with a smaller Japanese inn next time

A great choice of foods. Having a trolly provided at the restaurant was very helpful for my aged mother.

It's my 3rd time to stay in this hotel. I always like their buffet meals (breakfast and dinner) and the different types of Onsen (indoor and outdoor). I have also tried different types of rooms and they're all comfy. Except for the tiny rooms for single occupancy that has no bathrooms but they are located right above the onsens. I didn't mind because I was by myself that time. However, I loved the view from my window. I love the location, it's like a safe haven in the midst of nature. I am so proud of this hotel which is just 30 mins away by car from Suwa City.

The outdoor Public Onsen and the view surrounding the hotel is beautiful especially in Autumn.
Though I have a coupon for dinner and presented it to the buffet staff at the entrance but my name is not on the list. I felt embarrassed waiting while the staff had to call and confirm at the reception before letting me in. I was scheduled to have dinner at 8pm which is a bit late for me to eat (I wish it was 7pm) but I thought its there way to control the people to avoid overcrowding but when I get there by 8pm it was very crowded like a typical buffet style atmosphere. It just doesnt feel very welcoming to a gaijin like me. The room is small and outdated.

The food ,buffet breakfast and dinner are the best by far in Nagano. The staff were courteous, helpful and respectful. The different kinds of Onsen are also spacious and relaxing. The rooms are great especially at the new wing. It is just heaven for me in the forest.

The outdoor onsen is new and really wonderful!
Buffet-style dinner and breakfast quite crowded on weekend days, with waiting time (which is especially annoying when breakfast time is it until 9 a.m. only). That was a lot better and more relaxed on a Monday. Standard room was not so thrilling considering the price, upgrade to a better room was definitely worth it.
