Lively restaurant with interesting menu, overlooking the ocean. Staff extremely friendly and helpful.
Lodge was inclined to get a bit damp, but couldn't leave windows open due to monkeys!

Idyllic setting in the natural forest. A few minutes walk to the beach. Very good service from friendly well trained staff.
The cost quoted by Booking.com for the data entered was not the same as the cost we paid. The beach close to Mseni is not safe to swim at and the Sodwana Bay Beach is not safe in the afternoons, hence time at the beach is limited to mornings. The conservation fees are high especially considering the service from Natal Parks board.

Breakfast was brilliant, really good food and portions
Hotel was overpriced and quite basic

We loved the location. Very close to the beach and very peaceful in the park. The restaurant had beautiful views to the sea and excellent food.

Location is great. Direct acces to the beach. Although quite a climb. Nice restaurant with a great view and very friendly personal. Swimming Pool o.k..
The ocean is rather rough. Swimming not an option for children and most guests.
Accommodation rather expansive for what it is. And than you have to add all kind of extras(entrance fees).

The price as per the invoice and as per the booking.com was not aligned. it was reflecting a house for R1890, but I ended up paying R3400, I was not happy at all. and also, on the booking.com it was saying it’s breakfast included, then when we got there they said breakfast is not included.

We liked everything! Our chalet was beautiful and super spacious. The refrigerator was a nice extra. The restaurant was excellent. For sure the best breakfast we had on our roadtrip of almost 50 days across countries in Africa. The staff was also very friendly and accommodating. Close to th beach area where people dive and snorkel. Will recommend a stay over here any time.
The fact that there is no Wi-fi in the chalets. You have to go to the restaurant or swimming pool or reception. In these days just too much planning and research happens on the internet while travelling. The daily rate paid at Mseni surely justifies wi-fi in the chalets.

Food is good and the view of the sea from the restaurant
I was locked in the chalet toilet because the door would not open. I had to break down the door to get out

it’s a quiet place, beautiful and clean, and the staff is friendly and helpful. the food is well prepared too.
two boom gates before you reach the lodge. accompanied by extensive documentation and payment. this is one reason why it would take me a long time before I visit the place.

The Reception staff, General Manager and facility team were amazing! They went out of their way to make the stay pleasant and ensure we had a fantastic long weekend. The food at the restaurant was delicious and exactly as advertised.
The only part that was a MAJOR concern was the booking agent that completed our booking. Simone (from the Mseni Lodge Pietermaritzburg office) made many errors with our booking, which had been made and paid in full 2 weeks prior to our trip. She did not advise us of any issues prior to arrival, despite having our contact number. Furthermore, when contacted by reception staff, she was EXTREMELY rude and disrespectful to Sharon )front desk consultant) that was assisting with our check in. This made the arrival and first experience of the facility VERY negative. However, the General Manager (Pauline) was extremely helpful and resolved the situation immediately. I would definitely not recommend Simone as booking agent.

This is a fanastic place to stay. From our terras, we had a view on many humpback whales passing by and jumping out of the ocean. The house is very big and nice. Must be fanastic to stay here for a couple of days.
Nothing. Great place.
