Breakfast was cooked to order, very fresh and enjoyable
There was a small spider, but I dealt with it.

Hotel is jaded and could do with a makeover. That said it suited our needs, was reasonably priced, attentive staff and good breakfast.
General repair and decoration . Bathroom had seen better days and flow to shower was poor.
3.4
Staff were friendly and the breakfast was good
It’s in need for a refurbishment but is still quite grand.

The location is good.
Checked in at 5pm. No hot water in the room when we arrived. They moved us into different rooms but still not hot water/heating in the new rooms. Spoke to receptionist again regarding the issues. At 10pm that night still not hot water in the rooms. Didn’t have any hot water to the room until 6 am the following morning. The rooms are outdated and grubby. Mould on bathroom sealing as it’s just plaster bored and hasn’t been plastered or painted.

Location was central
Cold room on arrival on a very cold night, central heating not on although there was a convector heater on one wall it did not provide warmth across the room, the hotel did provide a second convector heater upon request.
Twin beds when we thought we had booked a double.
Beds more like cots had one thin cover.
Bathroom no window and no extraction fan, ceiling above the bath very low and full of thick black mold, because of that we did not bother using the shower.

Excellent location, parking, near shops , bus depot, and eateries. Comfortable Bed
Not enough amenities. No glasses, tissues, spare toilet roll, note pad, pen. Not serviced.
No room information. meal times, reception times, check out times, Local buses etc

Easy travelling distance to Donington Park GP Circuit. Central to Castle Donington. Clean but very dated.
Easy fixes like rubbers along the shower glass meaning water leaks all over the floor. Things that could easily be removed like the 1980’s communication system. Old worn our furniture. Small investments would make this a lovely hotel.

Very helpful very polite staff ,spacious rooms. Just nice and relaxed.
Nothing all ok

The Hotel was no problem and everything we expected, the problem was Booking.com that did not send the correct information to the hotel and we were lucky to get the 2 rooms we booked. Well done to the hotel but an extreme poor show to Booking.com
if Booking.com could do their job better and more efficiently everyone would be happier

Very friendly and helpful staff
Room was dated, but it didn't detract from our stay.

It was ideal for my needs
Faultless, all the staff were wonderful

We stayed here to attend Download festival. The location was great, right near the bus station to get to the festival each day.
Staff were all really friendly and extra thanks to Sandra who saved us from the spider who popped up in our bathroom 😱
Great little tea shop around the corner who also had super friendly staff.
Unfortunately they are fully booked for Download weekend 2024 🙁
Room was clean and comfortable and good value so no complaints

The booking was part of a gift for my Mum & Dad, attending an event at the track and their feedback was very positive. They had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. They said the staff were very friendly and dinner superb. They spoke highly of Craig Riley, exec chef and operator of the restaurant, who I understand was out of the kitchen and they ended up speaking at length, which they loved. No negatives reported, so thanks for delivering a great stay for them.

Breakfast was lovely, staff and location excellent. No hot water (tepid shower) and water pressure very low.
The property is quite tired and needs some new carpets/quilts/ holes filling in
No hot water and quilt was very flat and cheap feeling.

We had to leave early on a Sunday morning to go to the airport for a flight. The hotel car park barrier was down and no staff in the building to let us out. We had to physically lift the barrier to get out. Totally unacceptable.
When we checked in we noted our reg number on the guest form but at no point was it explained we would need a code or a token for exiting the car park.

Loved that it was in a secure area
The room was very cold during the night

I booked this hotel for my daughter and her partner as their flight had been delayed. It was disgustingly dirty so whilst they checked in they didn’t stay. I messaged them to ask for a refund, after investigating they offered me 50% which never arrived and they just stopped replying!

Lovely quirky hotel. Very comfortable, quiet and relaxing. James. the manager, goes above and beyond with quality service.
All good.

Couldn't find the booking, too noisy, not comfy.
Booked 3 rooms 1 was already occupied.
Will be seeking some kind of refund.

The location for what I needed
I checked in, no hot water so had to walk halfway through the hotel wrapped in a towel to use a shower in another room however I arrived 2 hours later than expected!

The location
Worst mattress, dirty bathroom, run down facilities. Would not recommend.
