Lovely location, very convenient for the event we were attending. Room very clean,
Welcome not especially warm. Would've been good to know in advance there would be a very loud band playing quite late in the marquee - would've bought ear plugs. Room a little gloomy.

Room was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed.
Room was good. We had tea at the adjoining pub however we had to order by 4.30pm which was way to early for our evening meal.

Canal location and value for money
Bathroom needs a bit of TLC

Nice canal side setting.

ants in the bedroom , pub closed an hour after we got there at 6 pm wasn’t open to have breakfast or to leave the keys xx

No breakfast available which is a shame

Sitting in the beer garden over looking the Canal, the room was clean, cute, and reasonably priced.
We had the towpath room! The bathroom was shabby, broken floor tiles and stained tile grout, the entry door hardware was broken, the room needed some care and maintenance. All the windows were large without screens and could not be left open safely, (security, bugs, animals, or intruders)

We are locals with few decent options for visiting family & friends. The Narrow Boat is nearby, has a pub with decent food on the property (though no breakfast), lovely views across the canal and a small play area for children. The rooms were small but comfortable, clean and provided water bottles each evening of 3 stays. It's a comparable price to other nearby hotels, a little high in our view for what is on offer, but conveniently located for our logistics. Despite what is mentioned below, our very picky adult daughter (with young child) said she'd happily stay here again.
We booked via Booking.com but paid on site on arrival at the pub. But the pub wasn't always open or staff weren't available to handle payment and handing over the key so we locals had to make several trips to do that. Might be as it was a holiday weekend. (The 3 nights stays were not consecutive.)

Very friendly staff.
The room had a back smell which was rectified.

the location near the canal and the separation from the main building
nothing really

The room was clean, comfy and surprisingly spacious. The staff were friendly and exceptionally helpful, quickly and efficiently sorting a miscommunication with our arrival day. It was fantastic being able to park the car directly outside the room, made arrival and departure super convenient! We ate there on the first night and the food and service were both lovely! Check out was a breeze too! Well done Narrowboat at Weedon!

Location fine to visit friends in the area, nice position on the canal.
There was no breakfast provided as we were there midweek!! All we got was a paper back with box of cereal carton of milk, a cereal bar and an apple Had we been aware of this.we would not have booked our two nights stay.

Breakfast was excellent, lots of choice. Dinner was also very good.
Wish it could have stayed open until 11pm as it was a Saturday night. But last orders was 10pm

The location
The steak was poor quality but they did refund the meal also having visited last year the place is not the same standard

Restaurant staff could be more welcoming. But what make it up was the cleaning room staffs Sarah and Tina which tell us where things was and how to get to there .
Everything was good but should have more staff foe the restaurant as one person was dealing with all the tables.

Room was very clean and quiet. Breakfast was excellent. Staff were very friendly.
Mattress was too hard, we both found it uncomfortable.

Nothing
The whole property is rundown and it certainly does not warrant its four star rating. On arrival we were told that there was no food service at breakfast except at weekends? The service overall was poor probably due to a lack of staff.

great location
a couple of extra pillows would have been good,

Great Location and nice size room
Breakfast wasn't available.Perhaps that due to the current shortage of hospitality staff.
Nothing else negative to comment on.

Location - ecellent for my purposes, I needed to be in Weedon Bec village, less than 3 miles away.
Room - clean & functional, not the most comfortable bed but ok for one night.
Bathroom - very clean, good size shower.
Free parking right outside the room - excellent.
Good pub garden, although a lot of the tables are definitely due for replacing.
Breakfast on Saturday morning didn't even start until 10am so by the time you've eaten breakfast, washed & teeth-cleaned its 11am - half the day is gone. Poor on a Sunday but absolutely useless on a Saturday. As I didn't actually have breakfast on Saturday due to the poor timing I'm unable to comment on the breakfast itself.
Limited dinner menu.
