Great breakfast, hill location, so bit of atruggle for walking ⁸great st

Breakfast is excellent as usual. We've stayed in that particular room twice on separate occasions & is more than adequate with a nice view overlooking the town & out to the sea. It's always immaculate & the bed is very comfortable.
Being incredibly nit-picky but I would use HP or Wilkins/Tiptree Brown sauce to complement the high quality & beautifully cooked ingredients for breakfast. The catering style brown sauce has a taste that is just a bit off putting.

The breakfasts were delicious, staff were lovely, the view is amazing and is so close to the centre of town and was very convenient for me.
There wasn’t anything I didn’t like.

The location is great, no more than 10 minutes from the train station, 5 minutes into the town centre m, 5 minutes to the harbour.
The rooms themselves are lovely, very homey. En-suites are always clean as are the rooms. Great views from the rooms and the breakfast room.
The staff are absolutely lovely, remembered me from my last stay which shows how attentive they are. Had a minor issue which was sorted no more than 2 hours after I informed the staff.
Nothing I didn’t like.

High quality breakfast, made to order. Comfortable and stylish King room with great sea views. Nearby on street parking with a loaned permit. Very welcoming hosts.
Good location just above the harbourside with bars and restaurants, easy access to station and buses for great walking, restaurants and shops a 5 minute walk the other way to the town centre. A busy Italian restaurant 'Casa a Roma' in the centre is highly recommended.
Other guests! If they are misbehaving brats or simply inconsiderate, the noise can be intrusive. Thankfully most of the other guests were pleasant, there for the walking or scenery.

Very simple, functional accommodation. The breakfast was excellent. Located close to the centre of Whitehaven (up a small hill) it's easy to get to at the end of the day.
The accommodation is cheap and functional, but that's what you expect for this price! A small room to sleep in. I wouldn't recommend spending a lot of time inside - just that which you need.

I always like to stay at Lismore when I travel to Whitehaven for work. A warm welcome every time, comfortable clean room, easy walking distance to restaurants for evening meal, delicious cooked breakfast and great value.

Incredibly kind people who go out of their way to maximize my experience! Cooked me up a wonderful breakfast in spite of my dietary requirements and always made me feel at home in the guesthouse. The room was very spacious and comfortable, and was very clean. Great location with even greater views. Look forward to coming back!

Lovely tastefully decorated place. Comfortable and attractive. Lovely to have a fridge in the room. Nice views. Very nice welcome. Fantastic breakfast.
I would prefer a kettle in the room to a coffee making machine. I'm a tea drinker and the coffee machine didn't seem to make a very hot cup of tea.

The breakfast was exceptional in the conservatory over looking the marina . As a coffee lover it was perfect . The room was cozy lovely decor the bed felt huge , a great night sleep . Extremely well manered staff . One of the best guest houses weve stayed in
Just wish we had more time in Whitehaven

Excellent in all respects - Lovely room, excellent location, great sea view, very comfortable bed, great food and excellent service. Could not have been more enjoyable.

Just lovely. Parking is available at the Train station, so the only slight downside is the hill you need to walk up to get there, it may not be ideal for anyone with walking difficulties. The host was super friendly, the room was clean and beautifully decorated, and the breakfast was exceptional. I will continue to stay when in Whitehaven for business.
There is nothing negative to say.

Lovely property, great room, everyone really friendly and breakfast was wonderful.
Everything was great. It was just that we were there on a drizzly Monday when lots of places to eat were closed and the town looked a little sad.

Friendly host. Lovely welcome on arrival.
Property very clean.
Not much!

The Lismore is a really lovely guesthouse. We received a lovely, friendly welcome from Brian on arrival. Our room was really comfortable & nicely decorated, as were all the public areas. Everything was spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable so we had a great night's sleep, followed by a fab breakfast the next day with a great variety of choice. We travelled by car & while there was no parking right outside we found free on-street parking approx 5 minutes walk away which was great. We'll definitely book again the next time we travel to Whitehaven.
Nothing, we had no complaints whatsoever.

I can't remember his name but the man that checked me in was lovely! He was very kind and made me a great breakfast the next morning before my long drive home. The room was clean and tidy and was very cosy, and the bathroom was immaculate. I'd definitely stay there again if I'm ever in Whitehaven again.

Breakfast was amazing. Loved that everything was individual and hygienic.

Loved the attention to decor throughout the Guest House; a lot of thought had been put into this.
Having to leave at the end of my stay.

Super comfortable, beautiful airy room with lovely views and exceptionally clean with a very tasty breakfast and great, helpful staff
Supply a normal kettle - had difficulties making tea and often tasted strange/like coffee

Lovely and clean, staff were great.

We cycled the C2C route and stayed at 4 other B&Bs before the Lismore. This one was easily the best one we stayed at from the secure cycle storage to the view from the room, the great facilities in the room and the delicious good quality breakfast
Nothing to dislike
4.8
Ample and tasty breakfast in pleasant setting with stunning views. Very friendly hosts.
Only slight enhancement would have been more seating and space in the bedroom, e.g. by removing spare bed.

A warm welcome.
An excellent breakfast.
Well situated to the railway station and a couple of good diners in the area.
Nothing at all.
