Friendly staff. Location not the greatest.
1 small pillow which was insufficient. Room very cramped. No mirror above sink. Only continental breakfast offered, which was a bit steep at £10.

Excellent stop over for one or two nights - see the student side of Edinburgh. Nice restaurant around the corner.
Parking can be an issue (as it is everywhere in the region, it seems). Walls a little thin, but not really an issue.

Friendly welcome from all staff. Very helpful. Booking made for two, changed to booking for three without any fuss. Nothing a bother. Excellent value.
Was hard to dislike anything. The staff were all so friendly and helpful 🙂 Bathroom quite small but understandable, adequate.

The hotel was very welcoming with plenty on street parking, light decor, comfortable beds and clean bathroom. Lovely addition of home made cake and warm welcome.
Nothing we found dissatisfying.

A charming, cosy little hotel in a great location. Staff could not have been more welcoming - everyone was so warm and friendly. Room was comfortable and clean. Great value for money.

Great location. Great wee find.

The staff were incredibly helpful and kind, they kept our bags safe to allow us to enjoy the city for an extra afternoon after we checked out and before we flew home. The room had all the basic bits we needed.
Quite noisy being on the front of the hotel by a main road, curtains didn't fully close on either end so quite a bit of light came through from street lights, bathroom was in need of some repairs and general room was tired and sad. Fine for a short trip.

Very friendly, lovely clean room, big too!
All good, but was woken up at 4.30 am in morning with 2 blokes talking in room next to me, as it was stud wall l could hear them
quite loudly! After about 15 mins, l told them to shut up…. they did!
Didn’t put me off, just remember to bring my ear plugs next time!

cheap cheerful and friendly staff.
very minor things really access to plug sockets and bed not the most comfortable. For what we paid though I though everything was great.

Not too far from city centre. Some limited parking available.
Facilities were basic and a little tired.

The hotel is just around the corner from a bus stop where the buses stop to go into Edinburgh.
Parking - The hotel details give the impression that there is parking available. In reality there are just 5 spaces available for 9 rooms. The street parking outside the hotel is metered and you can't stay more than 4 hours. The staff at the hotel told us, twice, that it was OK to park outside. As a result we got a parking ticket for £60.
WIFI - The wifi signal is extremely weak to non-existent. We were only on the 1st floor and could not use the wifi.
Cleanliness - The room was not very clean. There was mould around the window frames
TV - A small TV was mounted on a bracket, high up on the wall. As a result, you got a crick in your neck trying to watch TV.
Overcrowded room - Both a double and a single bed were in the room. As a result, the room was very overcrowded.
The room looked like one of the rooms the Hotel Inspector hasn't got around to yet.
