Conveniently placed near where I was working, the friendly staff make this a pleasant place to stay.

The staff really are excellent. All of them go out of their way to be helpful and they always seem very positive. Bed was comfortable. Plenty of space in the car park.

Carpets, seating etc. in communal areas seem rather tired and worn, though this was not a problem in the rooms.

was okay would stay again if needed.

Was a fab location for where we needed to be right by Aldi and a restaurant. breakfast was lovely too and good price.

room needed doing up there was pen and makeup all over the walls. arrived and no battery inside tv remote and also no bed when we should of had 2 beds. also cars were quite loud as right by main road.

Incredibly disappointing and would not return and has put me off staying in an express

The location

Security on site due to the people staying there, very tired looking and stained in places. The first room I was given was awful and I requested a different room but this had a bad smell in the bathroom. breakfast was Luke warm and mediocre

it was very spacious with everything you would need for a short stay. Staff were friendly so an enjoyable stay!

The only thing I would of said was the plates were cold and the bacon needed more cooking.

Good hotel for money, good location and car parking, good breakfast choice.

Comfy beds, quiet location and breakfast included. Ample carparking.

Room needed tlc, big scrape in paintwork down one wall. Guys who sat by door in reception, not sure why bit rude even after saying good morning no response.

perfect location for us, staff friendliness especially meg and Phillip. nothing was a bother. everything could want for breakfast

hotel being used for other reasons meaning security staff needed, this could make you feel uneasy. but they were polite. only negative isn’t staff related but those staying long term not being mindful of others,

Dissapointing stay

A fight for breakfast no bread and lots of children hogging the toaster doing multiple slices not giving others a chance

Staff were excellent. The room was tidy and clean.

It was a refuge center. Children running around the corridors, Cleanness was poor saw food and rubbish lying on the floor near the lifts and corridors. At breakfast no water or juice was not available. The cutlery was plastic. The reception was full dirty laundry bags of the refuges.

Unsatisfactory to the point we wanted to go home as soon as we arrived.

Maxine. She worked in the restaurant. She was pleasant, helpful and extremely friendly.

The issue that I have experienced was: We have had to deal with constant noise throughout our stay. This hotel is being used for refugees at present, which we totally understand. However the noise coming from the refugees has been unbearable. At 2am we were woken by men talking in the corridor. Then in the morning a mass of children were running up and down the corridor shouting and slamming doors. I actually had to go out and ask them to be quiet. No adult took any responsibility for them. Whilst we were having breakfast refugees were filling white paper bags with pastries and cakes and left none for other guests. We highlighted all these complaints to reception, however we were told that they could not communicate with them as they did not understand. The stairwells have been used as a dumping ground for unwanted clothing and children are using the stairwell as a playground. There was constant takeaway cartons and bags of rubbish outside the lifts which were extremely unhygienic. This is unacceptable for paying guests to have to endure this. It occurred on: 2021-10-03 This meant that Felt unsafe due to men outside door in early hours. Chain not working on inside of door. Asked refugees not to enter lift with us as too many in lift. Breaching covid regulations. Frustrated at breakfast due to lack of consideration for other guests. We were advised that there was nothing that could be done due to a lack of interpreted. Girl on front desk was not interested.

Awful and definitely booking again at this hotel

Breakfast was lukewarm

The fact that the hotel was being used to house refugees on behalf of the government and that we were not informed by holiday inn at any stage of our stay or told before we arrived.Funny we should be an email about the air conditioning!!!!!! Didn't feel very comfortable with this situation along with covid regs not being adhered too.Have these 'guests' had any jabs?

Disappointing

Clean room Good location for us

Our stay was marred by hotel seconding as a Asylum seekers hostel. With what could be described as refugee children running around the corridors through the evening and night and messing around with the only working lift? on our arrival there was a vehicle in the car park handing out clothing and they were scavenging through it something my children don’t need too see? Holiday Inn must have been expecting trouble with bouncers on the entrance and could have advertised as asylum hostel

Horrific

It was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. If it wasn’t for the fact we where staying for a funeral in the local area I would have left. The woman on the front seat was rude. It was dirty. Our room smelt of drains. There was also no air con and no towels(we was told this less than 24hours before arrival). And just the look of the hotel put you off.
